They are creative problem solvers when faced with unexpected challenges/issues. They don't try to upsell or suggest services that aren't necessary. We will continue to go back here. Competitive pricing and quick service make this place the right choice for your next vehicle service.

This place had good reviews, so first I called to see what the wait was like, then drove over. The person I spoke to on the phone was pleasant. When I arrived, they asked me to scan a QR code to check in, that was neat. Although I went in for just an emissions inspection, the person who checked me in saw that my state inspection was due soon and suggested getting that done as well which I agreed to. Then I sat in the waiting area in the back and worked a bit. I wish I'd taken a picture of the waiting area before others arrived because it was so cute! It was decorated with a beach theme and there were small couches and arm chairs and games to play. I think the emissions and safety inspection took about an hour or a little more. When they finished the person who checked me out was also pleasant and chatty. He was reviewing my vehicle and what services I needed and I commented that it was much less than what my dealer recommended. He was very professional and said that the dealer might be more conservative but he believes in only getting what's necessary. I appreciated his take, and especially that he didn't feel the need to talk negatively about a competitor. I will absolutely be back to get my car serviced. It was a pleasant experience with pleasant people!

As a Latina woman, I usually feel very uncomfortable with the typical dealership experience and to be honest I have always disliked it. In the past I have not always been treated with the respect and professionalism I expected -- although I want to clarify those experiences were not at Honda dealerships. This was actually my first time visiting a Honda dealership, and I truly wish I had done it much earlier. Before visiting Safford Honda Arlington, I had recently purchased a 2023 Honda CR-V from CarMax. I stopped by the Honda dealership mostly out of curiosity because I wanted to see what the price difference would be for the same vehicle but brand new for 2026. I was still within the return window for the CarMax purchase, and I simply wanted to compare my options. From the moment I arrived, my salesperson Yousuf Mahmoud treated me with genuine respect, patience, and professionalism. I even mentioned that I didn't want to waste his time because I was mostly asking questions, but he never made me feel that way. Instead, he encouraged me to see the car and suggested we take a test drive. After driving the vehicle, we sat down and discussed the numbers. What impressed me the most was how open the team was to a real and respectful negotiation. I had done my homework and came prepared with a number that I felt comfortable with, understanding that dealerships are businesses and also need to make a fair profit. I wasn't expecting unrealistic discounts -- I simply wanted a fair deal for both sides. At one point sales manager and senior salesperson even joined the conversation to help make the deal work, which showed me that they truly cared about finding a solution. Another factor that helped my decision was the current used car market. The difference between the used 2023 vehicle with 26,000 miles and a brand-new 2026 ended up being roughly around 11.5% /12% which made going with a new vehicle make much more sense for me. Beyond the negotiation itself, the level of hospitality I experienced was something I had never seen at a dealership before. They offered me water, and when I mentioned that I was cold they brought me tea and even asked what type of tea I preferred. Some members of the team even offered me a jacket because I was freezing that day. Later they even picked me up at the metro station so I could return to the dealership to pick up my car. Those gestures might seem small, but to me they showed genuine kindness and respect. As a woman walking into a dealership where most of the staff are men, I truly felt listened to, valued, and treated professionally throughout the entire process. In the end, I left with a brand-new 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L, and I couldn't be happier with both the car and the experience. I never thought I would say this because I usually dislike dealerships, but this team completely changed my perception. If any of my friends or family are ever looking for a Honda or even a quality used car, I will absolutely recommend Safford Honda Arlington and especially working with Yousuf Mahmoud. They made what is usually a stressful experience feel fair, comfortable, and genuinely positive.

Bottom line, I ended up paying $800 for $200 car mats, and when I called them on it, the sales manager said, "Consider this a life lesson." I'm plenty old enough to not need this smartass to give me a lesson. Plus they hit us with "there's someone downstairs who wants to buy this car now." Maybe they were telling the truth, but given everything else, I doubt it. There are plenty of Honda dealers in the metro area. Go somewhere else. I definitely will.

I was having car trouble and gave them a ring to see if it was in their scope. They were friendly on the phone and said they are happy to look at it. They operate on a first come, first serve model and we're already filled up for the day (Saturday), they mentioned Monday mornings is their busiest time, but I could drop it off the night before. I took it in on Tuesday and they mentioned it might be Wednesday before I'd get it back, no issue for me. However, they called me by end of the day that my car was ready to go and the repair was just around $50. They're conveniently located to a bus stop that easily allows me to get to my office, which was extremely helpful. They have a small front office that has two seats if you wait - there is also a strip of stores/food/hair salon across the street from them and noticed they are putting in a Sprouts just down the hill from them that can easily be walked to. Definitely will be using them in the future!

(Haven't had the car for 30 days yet--will update once it's been past 30 days)…read more Purchased a 2009 Toyota Corolla on September 27th. Didn't have the best experience but it was okay. They definitely overpriced the car and didn't want to budge on the price much which was disappointing since it is an old car. One of the sales managers, Taha, was very stubborn on the price. Got it diagnosed for a brake issue today which costs $500, but I won't put all the blame on the dealership since I should have gotten a pre purchase inspection. A tire pressure sensor came on as well a few days after I bought the car which again not great but not the worst thing. They also agreed to fix a crack and have been very stubborn and hard to deal with about that considering I don't live in VA. Overall the experience hasn't been the best. I will see how fixing the crack issue goes since I will be going back for the 2nd time so the body shop can try to fix the crack AGAIN. Overall if you want to buy a car here, I say 1. Bring a mechanic with you or purchase a pre purchase inspection 2. Consider difficulties with being an out of state purchaser if you are in that scenario 3. Be willing to walk away if they don't want to come down on the price to a reasonable amount. -These are used cars ! Not new. At this point I wouldn't recommend them and I wouldn't purchase another car from them. (I will update review once I've had the car a little longer.)

Incredibly incompetent staff- do not recommend buying a car from them.

I went as far as reporting this to corporate- I am not one who lets these sorts of thing go by unreported, accountability starts when we speak up. We brought our vehicle in December for service and received a Toyota inspection documenting brake pads at 4.5 mm front and rear. Less than one month later, we returned and were told that all four brake pads were now 2 mm and required "immediate" replacement. A uniform loss of 2.5 mm across all four pads in one month is simply not plausible under normal driving conditions and was not accompanied by any symptoms (noise, pulling, vibration, or overheating). This sudden change was presented as urgent without any clear explanation of how measurements were taken, which seriously undermined trust. After waiting 4,5 hours for a $185 diagnostics, we were quoted extremely high prices for brake service and other repairs, including being charged 2.5 hours of labor for a job that typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour at most independent shops. These labor charges and cost breakdowns were not clearly disclosed upfront, and the pricing felt inflated well beyond reasonable market rates. What was most frustrating was the overall lack of transparency: -Inconsistent inspection findings compared to a prior Toyota visit -No clear explanation of measurements or methodology -Urgency and pressure without supporting evidence -Labor charges that did not align with the actual scope of work This experience felt less like an honest service consultation and more like price gouging and sales-driven recommendations. We expect better from a Toyota dealership. I would strongly encourage anyone coming here to: -Ask for written documentation -Question labor times and pricing -Get a second opinion from an independent shop Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and I cannot recommend Alexandria Toyota based on our experience.
