I came here for a service appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and recall. I made an appointment for 730am hoping to be first one in and first one out on a Wednesday. I was told it would be a 2 hour appointment. The staff were very friendly and there was no wait when I arrived. My car was taken in immediately to begin the service. However, the estimated repair ended up taking closer to 2.5 hours instead of 2 hours and then I opted to wait an additional 30 minutes for the hand wash. Although the appointment took way longer than I wanted it to, I was happy with the service I received from the dealer. I was here for 3.5 hours and would have planned accordingly if I knew the appointment time would have been extended by 1.5 hours. read more

I want to share my experience because I know many people -- especially women -- can feel nervous walking into car dealerships. As a Latina woman, I usually feel very uncomfortable with the typical dealership experience and to be honest I have always disliked it. In the past I have not always been treated with the respect and professionalism I expected -- although I want to clarify those experiences were not at Honda dealerships. This was actually my first time visiting a Honda dealership, and I truly wish I had done it much earlier. Before visiting Safford Honda Arlington, I had recently purchased a 2023 Honda CR-V from CarMax. I stopped by the Honda dealership mostly out of curiosity because I wanted to see what the price difference would be for the same vehicle but brand new for 2026. I was still within the return window for the CarMax purchase, and I simply wanted to compare my options. From the moment I arrived, my salesperson Yousuf Mahmoud treated me with genuine respect, patience, and professionalism. I even mentioned that I didn't want to waste his time because I was mostly asking questions, but he never made me feel that way. Instead, he encouraged me to see the car and suggested we take a test drive. After driving the vehicle, we sat down and discussed the numbers. What impressed me the most was how open the team was to a real and respectful negotiation. I had done my homework and came prepared with a number that I felt comfortable with, understanding that dealerships are businesses and also need to make a fair profit. I wasn't expecting unrealistic discounts -- I simply wanted a fair deal for both sides. At one point sales manager and senior salesperson even joined the conversation to help make the deal work, which showed me that they truly cared about finding a solution. Another factor that helped my decision was the current used car market. The difference between the used 2023 vehicle with 26,000 miles and a brand-new 2026 ended up being roughly around 11.5% /12% which made going with a new vehicle make much more sense for me. Beyond the negotiation itself, the level of hospitality I experienced was something I had never seen at a dealership before. They offered me water, and when I mentioned that I was cold they brought me tea and even asked what type of tea I preferred. Some members of the team even offered me a jacket because I was freezing that day. Later they even picked me up at the metro station so I could return to the dealership to pick up my car. Those gestures might seem small, but to me they showed genuine kindness and respect. As a woman walking into a dealership where most of the staff are men, I truly felt listened to, valued, and treated professionally throughout the entire process. In the end, I left with a brand-new 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L, and I couldn't be happier with both the car and the experience. I never thought I would say this because I usually dislike dealerships, but this team completely changed my perception. If any of my friends or family are ever looking for a Honda or even a quality used car, I will absolutely recommend Safford Honda Arlington and especially working with Yousuf Mahmoud. Safford Honda of Arlington is everything that gives car dealers a bad name. They claim to be transparent but them they manipulate the numbers so that it's not clear what you're paying for. Bottom line, I ended up paying $800 for $200 car mats, and when I called them on it, the sales manager said, "Consider this a life lesson." I'm plenty old enough to not need this smartass to give me a lesson. Plus they hit us with "there's someone downstairs who wants to buy this car now." Maybe they were telling the truth, but given everything else, I doubt it. There are plenty of Honda dealers in the metro area. Go somewhere else. I definitely will. read more

Car buying is definitely terrible everywhere and this dealership doesn't entirely help the car buying experience. I reccomend financing instead of leasing so you don't have to come back after 3 years and give yourself a headache. It will be cheaper in the long run anyways. Also, make sure they don't sneak any crap into the bill when you are filling out any contacts. They will try to oversell the car. Look at Carmax or something to see what the breakdown for processing fees and vehicle cost are before signing any paperwork. ---------------------------------------- Came back to the location to turn in my lease and to either lease again or finance a new one. I was given a runaround for the proposed lease prices and decided to finance (since the lease was just as much money). Finally made it to the contract and was content with the overall cost for a new 2025 Ridgeline at 43k. Two weeks later I was slapped with a bill for exceeding the mileage for my last lease and the remaining 3 lease payments after the sales manager said the dealership would cover those costs (since it was considered a salvage lease due to an accident and was being sold for parts/scrap). After more headache and days of arguing, the dealership kindly covered the lease payments. Still got stuck with mileage costs even though nobody was driving the vehicle anymore. +1 star for going back after the sale was completed and covering part of what was initially promised. read more

I bought a car from there in Feb 2025, my main goal was to trade in my passport for ridge line under my name (passport was under my spouse and my name ) and I am going thru cancer treatment and was not sure if I would make it past 2025 and wanted loan under my own name . I had a pre approval from capital one , the sales persons were super pushy and would not let me leave the dealership . I did tell them I wanted to talk it over with my wife . We managed to make a semi satisfactory . The truck was not inspected and was not registered . I had to go back several times to get the truck inspected and registered . It took over a month to get proper paperwork done thru DMV. I got a call from one of the sales person Dec 17th and he said they can guarantee (I've a screen shot in my phone ) a trade in for 2026 truck with lower monthly payment . And no money down . So, I showed up in Dec 19th on a good faith offer. Not only they went back on their word, they said I had to put down several thousands of dollars down in order to get a deal down . I got duped. I took my Honda Odyssey here for 3 recall notifications I received in the mail. After dropping it off, Ken N. called and suggested additional repairs for over $1,000. He said the technician found I needed these repairs due to rusty and worn parts. Upon picking up the car, my bill is divided into $629 in repairs that are listed as "customer requests" and the other $368 repairs listed as "technician recommends." It's clear from my bill that I was duped on the phone into paying for a tire rotation and a brake job that were unnecessary. My van only had 30K miles on it, so I should have known, but I am a busy mom with no automotive knowledge. They were right to guess that I'd agree to the suggested repairs rather than get a second opinion. Shame on me. I would not suggest taking your car here if your knowledge is minimal. read more

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Safford Brown Honda Arlington, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership. When I first reached out, I spoke with Nancy, who was helpful and understood my needs--a 72-month loan with a payment around $600/month. She then transferred me to Ahmad, the sales manager, and that's where everything started to fall apart. I made it clear that I wanted to know the out-the-door price so I could structure my financing properly. Instead of providing a straightforward answer, Ahmad used every tactic possible to get me into the dealership, despite me already having pre-approval from my bank. Once I arrived, it became obvious that my needs were secondary to simply making a sale. As it was Ramadan, I wanted to step away to eat and also consult with my brother for a second opinion. Ahmad continued to push a deal that didn't meet my criteria and later insisted on speaking with my brother, which led to an unnecessary argument. Even after all of this, I was still open to making a deal. I requested a properly updated sheet with the loan terms so I could calculate how much down payment I needed. Instead of assisting me, Ahmad saw this as a "power move" and argued with me instead of helping me make an informed decision. Throughout the process, he kept saying, "I'm a man of my word, and the deal is what we agreed on yesterday." Well, I also mentioned that I would be writing a review--so here we are. Rather than going to my follow-up appointment with Honda, I walked across the street to Koons Arlington Toyota. Sergii, the salesperson there, actually listened to what I needed. I ended up custom-ordering a Toyota RAV4 Limited, putting $10,000 down, and structuring the loan exactly how I wanted. Funny enough, even though the RAV4 was $5,000 more expensive out the door than the CR-V, the deal still made more sense because Sergii actually worked with me instead of against me. I brought my 2013 Accord in today to get the low tire pressure indicator light reset. They wanted to keep the car for several hours and charge me a $195 "diagnostic fee" to reset it, even though it did not require diagnosis; only a reset. I left, and looked up how to reset it online myself. 15 seconds of online searching taught me how to reset the TPMS calibration; that process took about 20 seconds and the problem is solved. Seeking to charge me $195 for a diagnostic fee is unconscionable. This is why I will not buy a car from your deadership in the future, and why I will not have my Accord serviced there in the future. Warning, they try adding extra fees even if you signed a quote. Casey is a manager at this location and easily one of the shadiest people I've ever dealt with. My car lease was expiring and Casey called numerous times over the final two months of the lease to get me into a new car. I decided to buy out the lease and after giving him my SSN and car VIN information, I was provided a breakdown of the total and monthly finance fees. After having him remove additional charges (dealership care package), I agreed to the finance rate and scheduled an appointment to come in. I used a vacation day at work since no matter what you always seem to be sitting at the dealership for a couple hours. Stephanie was the sales associate and was very helpful. I filled out all my information so they can start paperwork and credit check. My credit score was excellent and they brought some additional paperwork (they won't share my info, everything I provided was correct, and so on). I waited in her office but a little over 2 hours later I asked her if paperwork usually takes this long. She told me the manager needs to sign off on it before I could leave. The manager grabbed the paperwork from the finance manager and walked me to a different office. That's where he told me the monthly rate has changed, not due to my credit, but it was due to his error. He said "sorry, I'm human and make mistakes". But I told him he already had all my info and agreed to a price but he thought I pay the additional fee to get out of there. i kept my cool but my tone changed to show I was not happy with him lying to me. He said "you don't have to sign the buyout and free to leave if you would like" I couldn't believe he would say this to me. I asked him one more time if he can provide the rate we agreed to then I would do it but he said no and smirked as I left the building. Will never do business with Safford Honda ever again and will make sure to inform everyone I'm with to go anywhere else than that location. There's a Landmark location nearby and I don't know about that dealership but guarantee they will take care of you much better than the liar Casey and his crew. I would never recommend servicing a car at a dealership to begin with and we wouldn't have if it weren't for the recall but this is just ridiculous and bad policy. My daughter saw a car online that she was interested in purchasing at Safford. Shortly after arriving at the dealership, we were approached by a salesman and after some time learned that the car, we had traveled to look at had been sold over two weeks ago. It took the salesman time to figure that out because he said that cars were spread out all over the lot. We made it clear to the salesman that my daughter had a preapproved loan, and we could not spend more than a specific amount. The sales manager then approached us, and he offered two cars for us to look at in her price range and said he could make that amount work. My daughter test drove a car. The car smelled like smoke and the front seat was stained. After the test drive, we sat down with the salesman and thought we were going to make a deal based on what the sales manager said. The salesman asked us to write a smiley face by the agreed upon price. The salesman went to the manager and the manager approached us with a price $600 over the price limit agreed on. The manager stared coldly at us, and we got up and left without even a goodbye or thank you for coming in. Despite the manager reneging on a deal, he said that we could make, I would have been willing to counter with $300 over despite the odor of smoke and stained interior because my daughter liked the car. We drove straight to Landmark Honda and were treated like royalty. The salesman was very polite, knowledgeable and honest. The sales manager was friendly, and we were able to make a deal on a nicer car, without a smoky odor and stains. With 35 years of car buying experience, I can honestly say that my experience at Safford was the worst. Five stars to Landmark Honda and 0 to Safford it was possible on the Yelp platform. read more

Very expensive. Yesterday I needed emissions and a safety inspection for my Honda CR-V and since it had a faulty low tire pressure indicator on my dashboard, I thought the dealership's service department could take care of both emissions/safety and the indicator. This is based on my previous experience with the service department in January 2024 when I brought in the same car for an oil change and to have a door actuator repaired. I had added only 1,171 miles to the car since the January service. As in the case in January, when the door actuator had been repaired, the service department found other items (four) to repair on the car in addition to the indicator (which the service department failed to repair), making the bill much larger than anticipated. I was in a hurry and so I had given the okay to proceed but having looked at the bill after the fact, I think I should have shopped around. Consider other, more cost-effective auto repair shops in the area. Also, try to keep a log of your car's repairs; ask if the service person can show you what the problem is (the better repair shops will do this); and if you are not in a hurry, get a second opinion. read more

I bought two cars from the sales side of the business and got my vehicles serviced here for about 12 years, but I am now going elsewhere. In the last few years, I started to get the feeling that the service advisors were recommending services that I didn't necessarily need but that were good for their bottom line. I couldn't take either vehicle in for anything without them telling me I needed fuel injection cleaning, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, etc. Further, I had a couple of actual issues that either they weren't able to figure out (but Bill Paige Honda was later able to diagnose) or that ended up being a costly experiment to figure out (funded by me). On the latter point, my A/C wasn't cooling properly, so they charged the system with additional coolant, which I now figure must have all leaked out. Then they sold me on a system evacuation and recharge, which also didn't work. Then, they replaced the blower. Also didn't work. Finally, they put dye in the system to figure out where the leak was (I suspect they should have started with that), which was in the compressor (I think pretty much the most expensive component of the system). This all took about two years and $2,500, which was probably about $1,500 more than it should have been.. When I complained about this, my service advisor of several years offered to take $100 off the compressor. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that amount, so he said he would check (presumably with a manager?). He put me on hold for about 30 secs (I'm pretty sure he didn't move an inch or talk to anyone) and came back with an offer of $200. I could have pulled all of my old invoices, built a case, and demanded to speak to the service manager, but to heck with it. I took the $200 and am just going to take my business elsewhere. There are too many options in this area to put up with this kind of treatment. read more

Overall, I would not recommend buying a vehicle from this Honda location. Starting with a positive, Eric showed us the car and explained its features in detail. We appreciated his patience and demeanor. Eric's manager, however, who discussed the monthly payments with us was disrespectful. He told me that there was no way to "magically" lower the APR. The most important thing to highlight though is the false protection package which their Finance Manager sells. When signing the paperwork, Michael their Finance Manager emphasized that the rims and wheels of the tires were included in the protection plan. Then, after calling the ECP Company, I was told that the rims are not included in the plan that we agreed to pay for. These guys were amazing! Nico was the fastest talking sales guy I ever met, but he was fast in action too, and we needed it. So honest and direct and no-nonsense. COMPLETELY refreshing given how hard it is to buy out state - but DO IT WELL and with confidence! I loved the mutual trust we were able to establish.
