These guys are so sketchy and are basically stealing peoples information. My partner and me are salary, they did a credit check still. Our paystubs have employers information and they kept saying our paystubs were sketchy I respond saying did you call the numbers on the checks to verify the companies the guy sounded like on crack just talking about where the decimals are, I respond Yes that's how salary works especially if you input your hours every week and I'm getting paid $60 an hour means my wages will never have change as a traveling medical technician! If you go through these guys don't finance they will do a credit check then say your paystubs are fake. They keep asking for all your personal documents. I bought my first car after researching for 6 months. Everything was fine until it can to under the hood. I specifically asked them to Chen that there were no recalls( you have to check by the Vin number) they only looked at the car fax now not even 10k later my engine needs a timing belt after I've spent 1k to isolate the problem. I went to this car lot with my son who was looking at a newer truck. The truck he was looking at was very nice looking and clean. We took it out for a drive and it ran pretty nice. What we did not know is that apparently there had been check engine codes in the vehicle and we think the codes had been cleared as to hide the fact. My son purchased the Truck and drove it home and then back the next day to work and on the way home the check engine light came on. He drove it approximately 40 miles in total give or take a couple miles. He had a towing company tow it to a Ford Dealer only to find out what was wrong with the truck ? The dealer told him it was the Vacuum pump and that it was their conclusion the motor usually goes out shortly there after. He was told a new Motor would be 15K. He decided to try the new pump and hope for the best. After putting an additional 560.00 plus repair for the pump and driving 20 miles home from the repair shop the motor was gone !! he barely made it home. Now he is forced to install a new motor for 15K. The dealer in our opinion knew this and cleared the codes thus it took a few miles to code out again. In our opinion they are untrustworthy. They would not do anything about it. They did try to get my son to have them repair it for a slight discount but no way would he consider such a thing. read more

BUYERS BEWARE....NOT A REPUTABLE BUSINESS AT ALL!!!! Don't make the same mistake I did by even walking into Japanese Auto Sales In Portland. They lack ethics business practices, and they say anything to sell a car. Once they make a sale, their customers are treated horribly! From paperwork not turned in so you can get license plates back before temps expire. To they claim "they are connected to an auto repair shop that checks out all the vehicles before they go on the car lot" which is sad if even true. The car I bought should have never allowed on the road and my life endangered by the piece together parts along with the fact they had to have known if they check out the vehicle as they claim. From all mismatched tires to one directional tire mounted backward and brake pads below safety. From the severe complications of multiple failures in the engine, such as drive belt excessively cracked, and the intake hose being held together with duct tape too many more complications leading to needing a complete engine replacement and new turbo. Due to all these factors it would not pass admission control system and should have never been sold. I found all of this out plus more when taking it in for a simple oil change and that there is no way this could have happened during the not even the two months of owning this car. It needs way more work done than the car is worth. They took advantage of a lady buying a car. When I went in to try to work with them and took in the documentation, I was met with a hostile, non-ethnic, attitude of "oooh well, you bought it as AS -IS, and you stuck with it now get off my property." Besides manipulating their reviews to make themselves look better than they really are, they knowingly sold us a car with mechanical issues and didn't tell us. This is actually two businesses: K & T Auto Trading and the other is Japanese Auto Sales - both registered to the same principal place of business with the same owner. K & T "acquires" the vehicles and resets the check engine lights, then passes the vehicle off to Japanese Auto to sell them. This gives Japanese Auto Sales "plausible deniability," so they can keep claiming there were no KNOWN maintenance issues on their vehicles, which is completely untrue. But, because of how business law works, they THINK they are getting away with claiming "no known maintenance issues." We're now into the vehicle DOUBLE what we paid at the lot and it still doesn't run. The warning light never came on, like they keep claiming it did because of an error I made in my explanation to BBB, but it doesn't change the fact that THEY RESET THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT AND DIDN'T TELL US, THEN BLAMED US WHEN THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED. Cheats and liars. No integrity. DEFINITELY NOT mechanically-sound vehicles! read more

Amazing. Seeing I wanted something super affordable, easy to pay off, low miles and ready to go! This vehicle was needed for commuting. Definitely didn't want high insurance and also a high car payment. These guys work their magic I was able to get approved and walk out with a car. Very nice gentleman's there. You get what you ask for and what you want to pay for. All I do have to say communication is key. Don't fuck with these guys and they definitely won't fuck with you. I've had a great experience working with these individuals and I definitely will be referring others to come their way. Dozens of phone calls and Every time we speak to someone they give us another story about something. Still waiting on the title. I would never recommend buying anything here. Purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LT. Went to visit my niece for Thanksgiving. On the return trip, the timing chains went. Long story short, they had the engine replaced at no cost to me. The repair shop lost my keys. They bought a replacement key, had it cut and programmed at no cost. The tow truck driver dented the lift gate, they got that taken care of for me as well. I was nervous about buying a car on 82nd honestly but dealing with private sellers is the worst. This place had a good deal so I talked to Richard and Wayne here and they were so nice I immediately went in. I snatched up my Forester literally with other buyers following behind us. It was an easy process and Wayne is the BEST. All the people that work here were willing to work with me and were super nice and down to earth. I got a better deal on the car than what was posted online and didn't feel taken advantage of at all. If you're a difficult person to work with or you're high maintenance I can see why buying a car on 82nd would be hard but, I loved this place. Very poor. I found car online that I wanted. I went and test drove it. I couldn't drive it on the freeway, which was offered, because I was on a time crunch, so I drove it around the block. It handled find, it stopped a little weird but I figure I could put the money into some brakes, no problem. The car drove fine. The Carfax attached to their website online said this car had no reported accidents and was clean. (the car had been in an accident. The bottom of the grill was broken, the front grill which is one big piece was slightly detached around the corner of it and the rim on the front passenger side was different that the other ones.) Two of the tires were bald so I tried to negotiate the price down. No go. The guy did give me a number to a used tire place he gets their tires from. Nice. The process of signing the paperwork was easy enough. Yes, this is a USED car dealership. No warranty. As Is basis. I understand that. So after everything is signed, I'm told they don't keep titles in the office so I'd have to wait for it and to call Friday because they would get it then. Friday comes around, I call (no one states their name mind you, every time they call it's just "Japanese Auto". I learned to recognize their voice and ask who I'm speaking with. Accountability is not a thing here.) The girl on the phone was rude. Said call back Monday or Tuesday, it should be in then. I said ok, skeptically. I was thinking about this and I had a question but the girl hung up on me. No, "do you have any questions for me?", just "click". I go into Les Schwab and have my brakes inspected. Brakes are fine, rotors are basically non existent. I have them replaced. I take my car in for an oil change, it was a quart low and the other fluids were almost completely gone. Wow. No one took care of this car. Monday comes around I call, the title came in. I couldn't get it to it for a couple days. Couple days later I'm driving to get my title and I hear a grinding noise as my car downshifts (it's an automatic). Fucking great. I just had the brakes looked at. It wasn't the brakes. It was the transmission. Fucking even more great.)So I go in, sign a paper that says I've received the title and head out to DMV. I live in Washington. My trip permit expires Oct 31. I get to DMV in Washington, I need an Odometer Disclosure. I call and tell the guy on the phone that there wasn't one with my paperwork they gave me. The guy tells me, yes I did. He gave it to me. I said, no you didn't there wasn't one in the paperwork he gave. He said, you came and got the title and that was with it. No dude, it wasn't. There was only the title and a paper stating that the car had been repossessed. He asked what my number was and I gave it to him. I told him to just call me once they figure it out. Few days later they call and have it for me. They said someone from their office can meet me at the DMV in Washington. Great. I just needed it. I only had a couple weeks left on my trip permit. I asked his name, they didn't know it. But they said they'd give him my name and number. Awesome. It could be anyone, but I said ok.(Again no accountability. He doesn't even know his own staff member names and didn't even try to ask anyone else in office.) So I'm waiting at the DMV in Washington at the agreed time, no phone call from someone from Japanese Auto saying they're on their way. I call Japanese auto, the guy on the phone said he'd try the guy. He told me the guys name and what he looked like. Awesome. This guy is supposed to have my information, name and number and he can't be bothered to call me or the car lot to tell them he's going to be late. The guy on the phone from the dealership calls me and tells me he's going to be 15-20 minutes. Late then said, you know what make it 30 just to be safe. Ok I've already been waiting and now it's even longer. Great. Because it's not like I have shit to do or anything. I had to call someone to watch my kids because I had no idea how late this guy was going to be and I had no idea how long the rest of this process was going to take and my husband had to get to work. The unorganisation of this place is beyond words. So I keep waiting and it's over an hr before the guy finally shows up. He hands me the Odometer Discolsure and then asks me, so you came to get the title and left this here? I was appalled. I said, no, I was given the title and proof of the repossession of the car, not the odometer disclosure. The guy followed me inside DMV and kept asking me the same question. I kept telling him no and I told him a few times he doesn't need to stay so he can leave if he wanted to. He didn't understand English very well and he didn't speak it well, either. Who the fuck was this guy? He finally left, I got my plates, tabs and everything registered. I drive home. This last week I went in and got my car looked at at the dealership. I need a new transmission. Fucking great. I overpaid for a pos. Not worth the aggravation. Go elsewhere read more

Came in to buy a suv car that I liked for 2500 the sales man told me everything seems good till it was time to pay and get keys and since I didn't have license they made sure I was the last to leave. Finally after 5pm after being there since noon he asked for insurance and to send it to him which I did . Then the man in charge in the back who gives the final yes or no said he didn't get it so we had to figure out ways to either text it to his personal number and email then finally he got it. I paid with my credit card and got the keys and was on my way out thinking I was good to go and no future payments smh nope I got a call the next day while at work but couldn't answer so he left me a voicemail saying it's urgent and his financing ppls needed another 2500 and I needed to sign updated paperwork since I didn't have license or they will have to pick up the car and I will not get my 2500 back . I was furious for one when did the car price doubled and what was updated that I wasn't aware of.. so I went after work and only to find out that the car price wasn't 2500 anymore it was 9000! For a used 2007 car that had problems with sensor that same day that they promised to fix because of a warranty on the car but keep hesitating to fix ? I gave hell but I paid but now I'm stuck with paying a cArnote I was unaware of in the beginning. Never going to them again or referring anyone to these scammers! read more
