California burrito. So dry I had to put some guacamole and sour cream from our rolled tacos.

Tried Jaquin's Taco Shop for the first time and unfortunately it'll be my last. I paid $25 for 3 rolled tacos and a California burrito, which is a good price and the burrito was huge--but I'm not really into oversized portions. The rolled tacos were okay, nothing special and definitely not better than 43rd St Taco Shop. The California burrito was disappointing: dry meat, burnt fries that tasted like old oil and stale fries, and barely any guacamole, cheese, or sour cream. The little guacamole and cheese that were included were only at the ends, with nothing in the middle. Overall, it didn't live up to expectations.

Ok, haven't eaten here in a year or so, dealing with Covid and price increases. I thought I would give them a try because I wanted some Nachos and I didn't want to drive all over town (gas prices). To begin with the Nachos cost $14.99 and the use to be $1 Tacos are now $2. This was a take out order and the wait was not very long. Unfortunately the Nachos were awful, everything was melted together into a heap of mushy cheese, beef, beans, guacamole, sour cream all on top of soft soggy chips. This pick up order was discouraging and it will be a long long long time before a visit them again if ever. 2022(32)

The carne asada to fry ratio is always on point. I wish the Carne taco would have been in a different container. The parking lot is pretty small but it's worth it if you can find a spot to park. All the employees I have encountered have always been great.

I tried this spot while passing through on business. I had the carne asada burrito and my brother had a Machaca burrito. Phenomenal is all I can say. Very authentic Mexican food and their horchata was homemade and fresh. Don't let the area and the lack of parking deter you from this experience. Stop in and show this business some love. They were super friendly and their hot sauces were tasty. The ambience was fair. Happy eating fam!

First time here. Carne asada fries - it was good but nothing that made it stand out as super bomb Fish taco - the fish itself was delicious but the tortilla was soggy & toppings did not pair well. I took it off 3 rolled tacos - super soggy and very little meat

    Longaniza Chorizo

I was happy to learned that Jaquin's Grill offers a Longaniza scramble in lieu of chorizo, not that there's anything wrong with that, but I was disappointed that they added fried potato to the scramble given they already serviced some on the side with the meal. For $7 and some change you get the longaniza scramble with a side of beans and fried potatoes with a choice of flour or corn tortillas. For $8 and some change you and get the same dish with Mexican rice instead of potatoes which I was not aware at the time, but the young lady at the counter offered me a small side of rice. The longaniza was nice but I was perturbed that they potatoes took so much of what could of been more longaniza. Like I said, it does not make sense to put potatoes in the scramble if you are going to serve fried potatoes as a side. That is simply potato overkill and also a filler. Let the eggs and longaniza speak for them selves as they should in the scramble. After painstakingly removing all the potatoes from the scramble, I was able to use what was left to make some breakfast tacos with the warm corn tortillas and the different tasty salsas from the salsa bar. The tacos were good and even better some of their beans. The refried beans were quite good. I would rather of had them sprinkled with some traditional Cotija cheese or queso fresco, but the quality of the beans was there. They were creamy and well seasoned. As for the side of Mexican rice, well it was light and fluffy with a subtle tomato and garlic flavor. I liked it and would much rather have it as a side with this meal. I was glad the meal came with four corn tortillas, most places only give two and if you're lucky three. All the salsas from the salsa bar were great but I could not find any tortilla chips. Service was good and the young lady at the counter was nice.

Seating took a little while after opening, likely because they stagger new parties to avoid overwhelming the kitchen with orders all at once. There were tons of fun brunch drinks listed on a cute, record-shaped acrylic menu, although the coffee options were pretty limited. The food menu was just as fun and whimsical, and the waitstaff were all dressed to match the theme. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We tried the soufflé pancakes, which were good, though they weren't quite as fluffy and jiggly as Japanese soufflé pancakes. They were also quite sweet on their own, so we didn't really need the syrup. We also ordered the cheese fondue plate, which came with steamed vegetables, kielbasa, and bread cubes--a really fun concept. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, playful, and definitely part of the experience. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area, especially if there isn't a long wait for a table.

It manages to balance a lively, energetic atmosphere with an effortless chicness that feels tailored for a memorable night out. The happy hour here is an absolute standout, featuring an expansive array of creative food options and crafted drinks. The menu brings an inventive Asian fusion twist to bar bites, offering flavor-forward small plates that pair seamlessly with the beverage program. The drinks deserve equal applause: the craft cocktails are meticulously balanced, and the signature ube-inspired cocktails are as vibrant and distinct as they are delicious.
