She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! My friends selected this spot for brunch again and I must say the experience was much better than my previous. One thing out the gate is the portion sizes. The plates are massive so if you have a healthy appetite then you are at the right place. Plus there are a ton of items on the menu so there's something for everyone. The parking is get in where you can fit in on the street but it wasn't difficult. They have indoor and outdoor seating in the back. Our server Ulises was great which he immediately greeted us and was very attentive even with the Father's Day crowd. "Over medium" eggs came barely cooked, still had clear egg gel floating around. The table next to us had the same issue. The fried chicken, which is beautiful looking, was strangely flavorless. Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off. I rather it stay in the kitchen under a heat lamp and come together rather that spend 5 minutes staring at my food being polite. So, for a fun "wow that's a ton of food" experience this is it. We came here on a weekday morning and really had a nice time. We made reservation because we know it can get busy and were seated right away. There is parking in the neighborhood but most of the parking spots require you to pay. I ordered the basic breakfast with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage and the biscuit that came with it was delicious. The coffee is strong and the service was quick and very kind. This location doesn't have a very large indoor restaurant so I would highly recommend making reservations so you don't have to wait too long. The portions are huge, and are definitely shareable. We got the HH corn beef hash. This dish came with two eggs and a giant biscuit and a piece of honeydew. It was definitely a lot of food and they gave you a lot of corn beef, which sat on top of crispy potatoes. We also got the sage fried chicken waffle tower, which came with three waffles and three pieces of chicken. The chicken was crispy, but the waffle rolls were kind of dry and you had to put the syrup on it for them to be good. I absolutely adore this restaurant, when I used to live in San Diego I used to come here all the time for breakfast, they have the biggest portions and the tastiest food! Usually on weekends, it's insane or impossible to get a spot but if you get here as soon as they open, you shouldn't have any problems. There isn't a lot of parking available so street parking and residential is ideal, my favorite thing to order is the sage chicken with waffles, I love how savory it is. Again, it's a huge portion. Ironically, we got seated exactly at the 1 hour and 15 minute mark, so they definitely keep their word. Once we got inside, the restaurant had more of an old-school diner vibe, not modern, kind of nostalgic and classic. Definitely come hungry because most of the menu items range from about $20 to $40. It's on the pricier side, but you understand why once you see how huge the portions are. Their chicken-fried chicken is extremely popular, so you'll see a lot of people ordering Andy's famous fried chicken with waffles. I got the sausage, pancake, and chicken plate, which was about $22. The portion was massive and it came with a cherry topping on the side plus syrup. Overall, the food was delicious. Our table also ordered their banana mocha latte for $9, and they have hot chocolate too. Their gravy is so good. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the downtown area, it's only about a six-minute drive from the airport. Just be prepared to wait an hour or two depending on the time you arrive. My girlfriend had talked to me about how good Hash House is and we've come twice now. The first time I felt like their food missed the mark relative to what my girlfriend had described to me. It was still good and I could see that this place could definitely do better, so we definitely wanted to come back in hopes of a tastier experience, and I tastier experience I got. The vibes and ambiance of the place are exactly what you'd expect from a busy diner, there's always a buzz going on with constant flow of conversation from their many patrons (both times we've come the place has been packed), you hear the constant clinging and clanging of silverware on plates, and there is always movement about with all of the waitstaff taking care of customers. Our order consisted of two Indy Giddy Up Coffees (this is how I knew the coffee was going to be delicious! My girlfriend typically does not go for coffee), Andy's Sage Fried Chicken for me, and the Lemon Blackberry Baked French Toast for my girlfriend. 1.) The Giddy Up Coffee was amazing in every way, and extremely dangerous for me. I tend to chug my drinks when I like them, and this would've been no different. It took a great deal of effort to be conscious of how much I was drinking since I still wanted to have some for when the food arrived. It's the right amount of coffee and the right amount of condensed milk. 2.) The Fried Chicken Benedict was an enormous portion, which I'll never complain about. The dish as a whole was delicious and all of the components added to the dish. Asked for the chipotle cream on the side, and I'm glad I did. While it was good, it wasn't necessary, and I'm a strong believer in less is more in large dishes like this. The combination of griddled cheese, fresh tomatoes/spinach, and bacon had the right amount of textures and the flavors mingled beautifully. 3.) Unfortunately, the French Toast missed the mark. The fruits used for the toppings were very fresh and sweet. They were the highlight of the dish, which you wouldn't expect from French Toast. The rest of the dish was a bit too soggy and lacking in blackback berry and lemon flavors. Shoutout the server that tended to us for making my girlfriends day and giving her a portion of the fruit toppings to make up for the Toast missing the mark! First off, it's off street parking or walk a couple of blocks for a paid parking spot. It's actually a nice walk. If not, you'll be added to the waitlist and they'll text you when ready. We were trying to stay healthier so we opted for the Indiana Sage Fried Chicken salad. The salad was excellent. The fried chicken had some crunchy to it but it was on the cold side. Once it gets cold, it seemed on the drier side. You'll have to dip it in the salad dressing. I know if the chicken was hot, the greenery of the salad would wilt. I guess it's a no win situation! I will ask for the chicken on the side next time so it could be delivered hot. The people next to us ordered the famous flapjacks. The portion was huge!! With all the fixings, they couldn't finish it!! Overall, it was a nice experience!
