Soooo, I used to live here and this place was great. I came down to visit and went here and the prices have gone up but the fish tacos now include battered, grilled, etc. for $2.50. I ordered 2 grilled and 8 battered. Looked at my receipt and they charged me an extra $7.50 (a la plancha). I asked the cashier and she said it was because the grilled fish were bigger. Doesn't make sense at all since it doesn't say that on their menu any where. Used to think this place was great but now I'm never coming back here again. You should post the right prices and not have surprise charges. Also, it took 40 minutes for my order.

On a quest to find the best Baja fish taco in San Diego. This place rated top on many lists. Voted top five fish taco by Zagats in the country. It had good potential... hole in the wall... food truck vibe. Unfortunately I don't think I'd go back. The fish was too fried.... the outside was crunchy and was like a hard shell and there was little fish. We got both the fish and shrimp tacos. The carnitas burrito was HUUUUGE. Maybe one of the biggest I ever had. No rice. No beans. Just meat , a little cheese, a little salsa.

We are working in the neighborhood and always looking to try new lunch spots. I was blown away with the food from Mariscos German. These guys know what they are doing. I only get the fish tacos and the carne asada and both are outstanding! They serve you a small complimentary cup of vegetable soup and it's a nice treat while you wait for the food. The other nice thing is the salsa bar; pickled onions, limes, and tasty hot sauce. Great job guys - 5/5 stars!

I passed by this truck too many times to count. Eventually I wanted to get my seafood fix on without going to City Heights. I pulled into the parking lot, parked in a liquor store space and decided to see what this was all about. I went up to the order window and was greeted by a very kind employee who asked me what i wanted. I told her "crazy tostada and grilled fish taco please". Upon ordering, I asked for a bag for onions and four sauce containers. Ask for soup while you are waiting. It is complementary and it's ridiculously good. Lids for sauce containers are at end of truck, onions and limes are adjacent to the ordering area. I eventually got my food, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. Tons of fresh shellfish such as oysters, clams, and even abalone! It also came with avocado, ceviche, and four tostadas. Everything was fresh and delivered what was intended. Came back a couple of times since and its still as good as I remember. Quality, service, and cost are all consistent.

The food is super yummy!! Cheap the tacos are amazing I've been a customer since 2015 I stopped going for a while because I guess the changed the cook and the food wasn't that good anymore but I decided to give it a try again yesterday and guess what! They are back!! Everything was amazing !! The only bad thing is that they are a food truck so no parking place and no tables so you have to eat standing up. But with it!!

The food is good just the new cashiers are trash. She tries to over charge often so ask for receipt.

Love their seafood but the girl giving the food out was super rude! I think they are new because I never had that experience before.

They had a simple garlic butter with no spice and was just right on the flavor. I was tasting the crab the following day in my mind. I love crab leg seafood boils and they are my #1 favorite food to date. I always like to try a new…read moreplace on my birthday or special occasions and in this case it was the crab pub because the menu looked perfect online. They seemed to have a ton of options for my family who didn't specifically get seafood boils so we went ahead for Mothers Day. When we got there the service was okay, our waitress didn't really check on us much at all besides putting a bunch of lemon slices on our table but no major complaints. We did start off with drinks and some of us got the wrong ones but no biggie because it's busier on a holiday. What I had a problem with was the food itself. I asked for the combo #2 because I thought it was 1lb of snow crab leg like I get every single time, I got it "pub style" which is supposed to be all seasonings like garlic butter Cajun lemon pepper in one. They asked me if I wanted shrimp, sausage or craw fish as my second and I told her I didn't want any of that and just wanted ALL crab legs. I don't know if she fully understood because when I got my boil I could tell it was noticibly smaller. There wasn't 1lb by any means, and looking back I wish I could've said something. I think they just took the amount of crab they got me and cut it in half instead of substituting and adding more. I wouldn't mind if it's extra money, I just want the crab so oh well. The sauce was the second worst thing ever. It did not taste anything like other places, but way worse. All I could taste was a watery spicy Cajun, and even on mild how I got it it was pretty spicy. It lacked any real flavor so on that alone I'd never go back. I usually always get a Cajun garlic butter and it's seasoned to the Gods but still light and potent. This was just not good, and didn't even feel buttery but more a watery oil. We did also get the garlic noodles and they were good. I make garlic noodles at home AMAZING though, so these were average and nothing to write home about since other places can still do them just as good, if not better. A place in SD that had ones even better was called Crab City and their boil tasted great. I would recommend that place instead of this. The reviews and menu pictures had me with much higher expectations and I was super let down. Forgot to mention, my husbands shrimp po boy, he said the shrimp tasted off and fishy like not fresh which made him only eat half and never go back for the leftovers. There was a super sweet sauce on it as well that tasted random to me when I took a bite so I would stay away from that as well. I also had to pay extra for my potato's that normally come with your boil at every other place. They usually come with potatoes and corn but this place came with nothing and you even needed to pay extra for potatoes but they were bigger and different then usual with no salt or anything so they were not worth getting at all, nor finished by me.

I was very excited to try Chef Budda and it was incredible!…read more This is a casual setup where you order first and then grab a seat. Food came out in about 20 minutes and everything was very fresh and piping hot. The cashier was very friendly, and gave great recommendations. For food: - Wings - incredible. Super juicy on the inside with a perfectly crispy exterior. Easily a standout. - Catfish - just as impressive as the wings. Crispy batter with tender, flaky juicy fish inside. - Mac & cheese - luscious and rich, one of the best I've had. - Candied yams - honestly the best I've ever had and I don't usually like yams at all. The seasonal cantaloupe refresher was light and refreshing a great pairing with the meal at the recommendation of our cashier. We also got the chocolate chip cookies (made by the owner's daughter) to go and they were a sublime finish to the experience. Easy 5 stars, I'll definitely be back when I am back in the area.

The chicken and catfish were both fried excellently, and paired so well with the Cajun ranch. The cashier told us that we should make a perfect forkful with a candied yam and some mac and cheese, and that combo was as tasty as she said. We also added a side of cornbread which came out in a muffin cup. It was very moist and flavorful. We got a melon refresher, which comes with chunks of actual cantaloupe. This was on the sweet side, but paired well with the savory proteins. There was a steady flow of customers that were dining in or picking up takeout. As we were heading out, we heard other customers talking about how delicious the chocolate chip cookies are so we decided to get it to go. There are also seasonal desserts, like mango sticky rice and banana pudding, so we'll definitely be back to eat more delicious soul food and try out the seasonal items.

I got the Orecchiette Con Salsiccia ($24) with ear shape pasta finished with sautéed garlic, olive oil, Italian sausage, pesto , chopped tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella cheese in white wine cream sauce. It was very savory, creamy, and cheesy. It's one of the heavier pastas I've had but it's probably because I removed the rapini because I don't like the bitter taste. I thought the sausage quality was just okay and not the best. I loved the Al dente pasta. I would probably opt for a tomato base sauce here because I think they do the flavors so much better. My family got the Taglierini Neri Ai Frutti Di Mare ($27). Plenty amounts of seafood with really well cooked pasta. The portions here are massive! All of us had to take our dishes to go so I highly recommend coming here if you want to bring home seconds. Service was also attentive and I appreciated that the kitchen plated the panna cotta to celebrate Mother's Day. I never get panna cotta but this one was creamy and not too sweet with the blueberry sauce. Highly recommend.
