Lazy Brett I came to the Shane Co to look for a wedding ring to go with my engagement ring. Brett was my sales representative. He did not want to find a ring for me. He said it would take a lot of time to find rings to match. I asked if it would take and hour and a half. He said "No." I said that I would wait for him to find the rings. In ten minutes he came out with rings but none of them matched. I left the store. A couple of days later my fiancee came in to look for a man's wedding ring. He had Brett coincidentally. My fiancee found one that he liked but it was a little small. He asked Brett if he would order the correct size. Brett said it was too complicated to have the ring sent from the Westminster store to the Arapahoe store. He even suggested that my fiancee drive to the other store. He sold him the small ring. It was clear that it was too small so my fiancee sent Brett an email which was never answered. My fiancee called the store and talked to Lori. She said it was easy to order the larger ring and that it would arrive in a couple of days. It did arrive in a couple of days. Brett was lazy and didn't want to show me wedding rings. He didn't want to bother having my fiancee's ring sent from another store and instead sold him the small ring, suggesting that he drive to Westminster to get the bigger ring. He didn't answer his email. Thank goodness Lori answered the phone and got the job done. Brett is lazy and could learn about customer service. read more

Brittany I was there to pick up an order yesterday afternoon. I placed it under my partners account and paid with my card. The email receipt referred to me as my name. I went in to show the email and Brittany looked up the account under my partners phone number. Rather than cross checking if she had the right order number pulled up, she had a whole different order pulled up and asked me the card number i used. Obviously it wasnt matching, so she bombarded me with a series of questions under the presumption i was fraudulently attempting to retrieve the order. she spoke to my partner on the phone and asked literally every question there was to ask in the book, down to the exact numerical value of the purchase. I can't even describe how belittled that made me feel. Super unnecessary, and rather than apologizing once she realized it was due to a mistake on her end with the wrong order pulled up, the only response she gave me was "we're good" *fake smile*. And even tried to blame it on my partners "multiple accounts". How about take accountability for the fact you had the wrong order pulled up and didn't cross match the numbers, even after I asked twice if it matched. Like are you assuming we've only ever made one purchase here? ... Afterwards, she didn't even give me a receipt or put the product in a bag, i had to awkwardly request it. Her bow was super loose and sloppy as well. Did she treat me this way on purpose? Please train Brittany to treat paying customers better, to take accountability, and definitely how to accurately look up orders. The process in which she verified the card number, means she is only verifying the user account and not the credit card account. If the email refers to the card users name, why is she verifying based on only the account user? Seems to me someone can use a stolen credit card in that situation and not get caught for it... doesn't make any sense. I'm not sure if it was the clothes I was wearing, but the treatment I received was simply unacceptable. It shouldn't take 40+ minutes to pick up an order I already paid for and I shouldn't get interrogated from a mistake on Brittany's end. Also, is it standard procedure for her to put the earrings with her bare fingers in the box in front of me? Seemed weird and unsanitary. I would assume it was ready to go since I received an email stating so. After this visit, it made me seriously consider never returning again, even though I wear multiple pieces everyday from Shane Co. I think I'll stick with the Westminster location from now on. Unfortunately, now if you need your ring Cleaned or inspected (which is their policy for warranty) they send you away to wait for 30 minutes , while those browsing are immediately let in. After standing there for about 30 minutes with my baby without one person even looking at me or acknowledging me, I went to the customer service desk to ask if I needed to make an appointment to get help. She said no and to just wait in the showroom and that someone would help me. After another 20 plus minutes of nobody even making eye contact with me, I decided to just leave and spend my money elsewhere. I understand that there were other customers there, but someone could have at least acknowledged my existence within that hour and reassured me that I would eventually be helped. I like that they have someone greet you at the door to ask what you need assistance with, and give you a realistic time frame of when someone will be with you (15 minutes in my case). Once they confirmed my purchase of the chain, no problem for them to fix it free of charge. They send you an email with a barcode, tell you exactly when it is available to pickup, and it looked like new when I fixed it. Upon my arrival, I was happily greeted by Jonathan. Who was immediately empathetic to my situation. He obviously took my ring to go get it looked at. During this time, I prepared myself for the unfortunate expectation of having to leave my ring for a few days to complete the repairs and the potential charges. When Jonathan returned he held up my almost rerounded ring and explained that he placed it on the rounder to fix the majority of the indentation, but that he was heading to the jewelers to have the last bit fixed for me. I was in total shock. Not only did he getting the repairs done for me on the spot, but once all was said and done there was NO CHARGE. **Cue happy tears! To say I am upset and disappointed with this place is an understatement. My amazing man proposed last weekend. The ring was snug so he took it in on Monday to be resized. They said it would be ready for pick up on the following Sunday. The experience we had at Shane Co was the worst customer service experience of our lives. They tried to deliver us a ring where the head was not square with the rest of the ring. When we brought this to their attention we were given an option of a 12 week "custom" ring. Our anniversary is in 2 weeks. They offered no discount and had no empathy for the situation. Worst of all the "manager" explained that we should never have been sold this particular head because it wouldn't support the diamond. The sales person had upsold us on the head in order to "better support." We were upsold, lied to, given a subpar product and then offered no support. I would not recommend this "jeweler" to anybody. We got my engagement ring from here but used the diamond from my late mother's ring for the center stone. The first time we went to pick it out we had a wonderful experience. The associate that helped us (I wish I could remember her name) was fantastic. She wasn't pushy, cleaned my moms ring and got found a diamond of the same cut as my moms to help me visualize the final product. She walked us through everything and helped me ask some important questions to narrow down the choices. She got to know us and was super attentive. The reason for 3 stars though is for when we went to finish paying off the layaway and give them the diamond to put into the ring. The associate who helped us this time (also can't remember her name but she wasn't the same person as the first time). When they got the diamond out of my moms ring she started saying because of a chip in the corner of the diamond that it was worthless and we should consider buying a new diamond. She said this even after I had explained to her that we were doing this not only to save some money but because it has sentimental value to me. I wanted to have my moms diamond in my ring to feel like she is always with me. Despite knowing this she still pushed the idea of a new diamond because mine wasn't worth anything (a chipped diamond is still a diamond and it's worth something to me) and kept saying how it won't be covered in their warranty. I felt very hurt after. This last time when we went to look at wedding bands it was in the middle. The associate was nice and professional but didn't make as much of an effort as the first one. He pulled different options but we did feel a bit rushed. I also wasn't super impressed by the selection especially if male rings. I did find one for myself that I'm considering.
