Today I went to Jarrett's I was better to door and seated by a nice young lady name, Brandy. She escorted me to my table. One thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was the tables floors even the walls ceiling was clean. As for the service, my waitresses name was Amber. Reminded me of waitresses that waited on me many years ago. She had old-time friendly professional air about her. I will want her for my waitress every time I come in here. I ordered the spinach salad with bacon on the side with extra salad dressing. It was very good. I will order it again. read more

Had a great first experience with Jarrety. Great menu, quick service. I enjoyed a toasted ham & cheese panini in tasty rosemary foccaccia bread. Melts in your mouth. Had a nice salad with a sweet & tangy dressing. Many great menu options. Decided to have a decadent butter toffee almond iced latte in lieu of dessert (only carrot cake in the case today) from their fabulous coffee bar. Many new employees working hard to earn their customers' returns. If I have to find a fault, I saw no visible covid practices. Stopped in on a frigid day for a late lunch with our daughter. She lives in a nearby town with few dining options. Wow were we pleased with her choice! Hubby got a stromboli, I ordered a hot Philly and daughter had a GF friendly salad with grilled chicken. All were flavorful and delicious. Our server knew the (expansive) menu well and was able to answer our questions. She was attentive, but didn't hover. What really impressed me was the employees were cleaning when they didn't have customers/orders to deliver. Tables were wiped, countertops, doors and windows and the bathroom was spotless and smelled like bleach! Kinda rare these days to feel confident that you're not going to pick up germs when going out, but have no fear - this place passes the test! It's in a cool old building that's gone through several transitions - at one time it was a hotel! There is another restaurant attached for evening dining. Seems like one of the nicest places in Rochester. Was very happening on a Saturday afternoon, it's kind of a combo coffee shop / restaurant / bar. The menu was mostly sandwiches, a lot to choose from but not a lot of customization. I had an Italian sandwich with chips which was good and surprisingly filling for a 6''. What a delightful surprise and so much to love about this spot! First, I love a place who picks a concept and does it well. This is actually what led to a 5 star review. You would think this is a given, but... No tricks or surprise but exactly what it's supposed to be: a small town local eatery, in the heart of the square, that offers relevant food to its location in rural Indiana. Sandwhiches, paninis, wraps and such. All fresh and solid eats. A big surprise, they offered gluten free bread options and a few gf baked goods. It's tough to find this even in the city. An added bonus, they have a lovely selection of coffee beans and make a good cappuccino, coffee and other coffee drinks. It is immaculate inside with cheery customer service, as well. The food was phenomenal, the coffee and tea perfect and the service spectacular. It was a busy Friday night with a neat mix of folks dining at various tables. Got tacos and shrimp both were good tonight. I went to ask what they had for deserts and was told they have them in the cabinet on the other side. Then if I really wanted she would list them out. So I asked like what kinds and she briefly listed pies, cakes. I don't think she likes selling deserts. I mentioned to the owner / manager and she said the waitress was busy but if I wanted to wait she would check in a bit. I already waited 10 minutes for the first time I asked. Not waiting another 10 or more minutes. I told her I was out of there and no apology or care. Other waitresses did not pull this with me before. Will not be back if they treat customers this way. Went here for lunch today because we were in town and looked to Yelp to assist us in finding a place to eat. This location has several options on the menu. For those of you familiar with Panera, the restaurant features many offerings that would be considered as comparable, but perhaps offers even more menu choices than that chain. The variety of choices is nice, but can be a bit overwhelming. The main dinning area was full, so our party of five was seated in the meeting room. The meeting room looks as though it might be going through some sort of a transition as it acts as a storage area and has peeling/peeled wallpaper in several places (so much that major portions of the wall are exposed). It took a bit for our waitress to arrive but once she did, our service was okay. The waitress stated she has only been there for three months and needed to ask the kitchen a few times on some of our menu questions. When asked to make some menu recommendations, she said she was unable since she had not tried some of the things and only worked there for a short amount of time. Perhaps some additional training may be warranted? Our table ordered a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads as well as desserts. The food was pretty good, with nothing terrible to say, nor anything outstanding. Most at our table opted for this location's version of "you pick 2" (like Panera). I went for a sandwich and salad. My salad was a bit better than my turkey sandwhich. The salad came with a tangy house vinaigrette dressing that was pretty good. The sandwich wasn't terrible, but it seemed as though the potato chips (most likely from a bag) that covered my plate, were presented to be the star because of the overwhelming number of them on my plate (like I said... They were potato chips likely from a bag... Not homemade from what I could tell - so nothing particularly special). The carrot cake was worth mentioning. Pretty good, moist cake, with cream cheese frosting. Others opted for chocolate cakes and other desserts which all seemed fine. If in Rochester again, I might swing by and grab a coffee and another piece of carrot cake. This location is definitely worth trying if you have not been, but may lack a wow factor in some areas. read more

The staff at Jarretys are so easy to work with. They were very accommodating in helping to make sure everything went perfect for my daughters baby shower. The venue was beautiful. There is a separate entrance for the Arlington Room which is nice. The food Jarretys prepared for her luncheon was delicious and the presentation was very nice. The big hit was the mimosa bar. Thank you Dawn for all your creative ideas to make that a fun event. We are so fortunate to have Jarretys in Rochester. The loaded baked potato soup is wonderful, especially on a cold day. Their Beefy Mushroom Panini is my favorite sandwich for lunch and their Grilled Breakfast Burrito helps a lot when I'm home sick for breakfast tacos from Austin. My only complaint is that their hours are a little weird for dinner time - some days they're only open to 4, some to 8 and one to 9 (Friday). My wife and I held an event last Saturday in the banquet room and we were very impressed with the service from Dawn (owner) and her staff. The restaurant is by far the nicest we have ever visited in Rochester, very modern and trendy. Service was great as well as the food and drinks. The banquet room provides plenty of space to keep your distance from others should you be concerned and Dawn provided hand sanitizer and throw away gloves at the food table.
