Do you know the difference between a stain and dirty? If so, this place may not be for you. Looks like a cool local spot, but.... Sorry but the girls serving tables are a bit clueless or should I say unaware? No service until we waved someone down. And when I sent back a dirty cup I heard them say it was just a stain. And they didn't get our order right. Now the place looks clean, cool and a great little spot, and the one saving grace was the girl behind the bar that acted like the manager who came up to ask about service when she noticed we were less than thrilled, that's why the 2 stars. The food was ok, nothing special.... Place does have a lot of potential. A little more training would go a long way here. We might try again. read more

Overall kind of a crappy place. Maybe nice if you're a regular but as a local who's eaten here a couple times I'm disappointed every time. Somehow spent $45 on sub par pancakes and country fried steak with sausage gravy?? Server didn't even look at us for 20 minutes and they weren't what you would call "busy". My pancakes were served on a square plate so everything went everywhere once you put syrup on them so I was sticky the entire time with minimal effort. Food wasn't what you would call awesome unless you don't know how to cook and don't know what food is supposed to taste like. Probably won't attend again. On a hot summer day at work we broke for lunch and I decided to drive into Nappanee. Right off the main intersection I spotted Renee's Family Restaurant with a prime parking spot right out front. So I pulled in. I was greeted upon entry and sat at the counter. Went with breakfast instead of lunch. Got two eggs over easy, ham and hash browns with whole wheat toast. Nothing exotic. The waitress left the coffee pot next to my cup. Nice touch since I like my coffee hot and plentiful. Got my food hot and correctly cooked. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and updated. Marble countertops.with comfortable seats. Waitresses were friendly and efficient. I will be back. read more

Middling touristy trap sort of breakfast corner, we dropped in a half hour before the buffet was closing, should've ordered a normal meal. Maybe it would have been fresher and better tasting with more variety earlier that day but us two buffet boys ate all overcooked and rubbery assortment of eggs, sausage, and little offerings to match home cooked meal quality. Would be decently fine but for the surprisingly higher prices, for a small town I am used to better. It is a delightful atmosphere with lots of room and pleasant staff but Cracker Barrel and even fast food does better for breakfast. read more

We were in town for service on our motor home and we always like to go into an eatery and support the local businesses and on this day we were wanting breakfast. The food is good; however, it makes it difficult to enjoy it when you're waiting an hour and a half for food. We were a big party of 9, but we watched 3-4 tables come in after, eat, pay and leave before we got our food. The server, Aryanna, never brought drink refills until after we were eating our food, didn't check on us during that time that we waited, and never updated us on when our food would be out until we asked. We ended up needing to ask another server about where our food was and how long before it would come out. It took so long that she forgot that she gave us silverware already. I would say either don't come with more than 3-4 people or expect to wait for a long time. Once we asked for our checks it took probably another 20 or so minutes to get our checks while she was taking another order. read more

The foods was great, the Resturant is clean and the atmosphere is warm! They let me bring my well behaved St. Bernard inside. We were in Nappanee for 9 days and we ate here most of those days. They open at 6:00 am. The wait staff are so friendly. read more

This used to be C&C and is under different management. This is a "must visit" place. I've only had breakfast there but based on my experience, I would encourage you to stop in.
