Beef manhatten and bowl of loaded baked potato soup!! Delicious!!

Please ignore all the 3-star reviews, I travel a lot and this is a wonderful place to stop. First, very personable staff. Warm and welcoming, clean, decor and seating needs replaced in some areas. The food was excellent, large flavoring dishes, pictured is the baked potato soup: very creamy and full of potatoes, celery and perfectly seasoned. The second picture is their roast beef Manhattan and boy was it tender, packed with savory gravy and smooth mashed potato's. The last pic is of my server Brayden. He kept our drinks full, made sure everything was delicious and we were amazed at his professionalism. Very reasonably priced!! Love it here!! Who ever rated this place 3 and 4 must not ever give 5 stars. But this Alabama girl thinks this place is amazing!! Great to stop by just about anytime of day. We will be back!!

    Steak Tips & Eggs

The steak tips & scrambled eggs were amazing. Servers were great, not a whole lot of wait time for breakfast. The over all ambiance was that of a typical family restaurant and while it was busy it was not overly noisy.

Still our favorite place on US 30 to stop for a meal while driving through northern IN. The secret is out about this little gem of a diner. It was packed at lunchtime on a Thursday! Hubby ordered a gyro (pronounced "year-oh", even though the waitress called it a "jie-roh") with onion rings. He said the gyro was ok but the onion rings were the best he's had anywhere! Very crispy with nice sized chunks of onion inside. I enjoyed a half Reuben with their sauerkraut soup. Today's soup was cream based. I prefer broth based but it was still very tasty.

    The American Breakfast

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?" "What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?" "I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet. Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said." ― A.A. Milne Waking up in the morning in Warsaw, IN, and wanting a righteous breakfast means one thing, American Table! After a quick review of Yelp, my friend Stephen and I headed to the AT. The looks and feel of the place hearken back to a simpler time when diners ruled, and great food was at the forefront. The place is spotless, run by nice people, and they serve you very quickly. I had the American Breakfast and it was awesome. Everything was hot, cooked the way I liked it, and delicious. You have to give this place a try. Five-Star delicious!

This is the Traditional breakfast. Two eggs over easy, bacon, American potatoes and Texas toast. Delicious!

Solid service and good comfort food. Soup and pastry puffs alone are enough to come back!

The Boathouse Restaurant in Winona Lake has good food and a nice view of...Winona Lake. You can find them about 45 minutes west (driving highway 30) of Fort Wayne near Grace College (see map). The restaurant is set right on the lake. It is also nestled by some cute shops (The Village at Winona) for pre or post dinner browsing. The Boathouse Restaurant's lake views come in a covered patio (see picture). You are right on the lake. All diners can see the water from their table. The patio is enclosed much like a four season room. You can catch the breeze off the water when the windows are open. Or you can shut the windows and pull the shades if the temperature and sun light isn't to your liking. I'm sure this would still be a great view in the cooler fall and spring seasons. The Boathouse is a large restaurant. However, I would encourage reservations via their web site. You can reserve the patio, bar or main dinning areas. The facility is nicely decorated in that boat theme. Lots of attractive hardwoods and lake colors. We found the restaurant to be very comfortable and relaxing. The menu is very large - something for everyone (see menus). Chicken, steak, pasta, salads, wraps, bowls, burgers, seafood - they have it. Prices are reasonable (steak $30+, chicken $23+, burgers $16+). We have been here a couple times. Each time the food was delicious and the service was what you would expect. Here is a run down on the items we ordered: -Table Bread: multigrain bread, served warm and soft, easily pulled apart; nice soft creamy butter accompaniment -Side Salad: simple salad, smaller in size; very fresh with a few side veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes, onion and shredded Parmesan cheese; crunchy croutons; homemade 1000 Island dressing was thick with a smooth taste -Burrito Bowl: my wife loved the fresh lettuce and peppers; chicken was nicely grilled, moist and slightly seasoned; rice was perfectly cooked with a firm consistency -Tenderloin (special menu item): outstanding! Very moist and tender, slightly thicker steak; thin batter with a slight crisp and hint of oil; grilled onions were a nice but unusual add; bun was slightly grilled, buttered and soft -Macaroni salad: mayo base that tended to be a bit heavy; nicely cooked noodles; added small pieces of celery, onion and green pepper; nice adder to the sandwich If you like lake views and relaxing dinning...make the drive to the Boathouse Restaurant. Also make sure you get there before 6p so you can enjoy the shopping village that is near the restaurant. And...take a long walk down the channel to see the big lake.

Super good food and a nice atmosphere right in the lake. Never had a bad meal. I personally like…read morethe steak, salmon, and burrito bowl

The restaurant wasn't super busy, but there was a large party in front of us, so I assume that's why the food took so long. Something we couldn't figure out though. We waited 50 minutes for our food, but my husband's fries were cold and soggy and our hamburgers were barely warm. I ordered sweet potato fries that the cook forgot to make, so I got lucky and got those hot and fresh. We didn't mind waiting for our food at all, but why wait 50 minutes only for the food to come out cold? You could tell just by sight that our food had been sitting in the back for a bit. We took a few bites and asked for boxes so that we could heat our food up at home. There was no point in complaining as these days, most restaurant managers/owners couldn't care less and those that complain are stigmatized as "Karen's". The bill was almost 55 dollars for two hamburgers, two orders of fries and two soft drinks. Pretty pricey for cold food. Our server was really nice though and unfortunately I don't know her name to recognize her good service. We won't return and will not recommend to anyone. I also want to say that I don't want free food. That's exactly why I don't complain at restaurants. Like I said above, the stigmatization is real and I don't want to be labeled as that person. I just think it's sad that in this day and age, we have to just accept bad experiences or else face the consequences of being called derogatory names. If the food would have been hot though, it would have been outstanding.
