Just really dang delicious chinese food that gets all the classics right! High quality, not the cheap stuff. Always hot, fresh, and consistent. For appetizers, we love their wonton soup, spare ribs, shrimp toasts, pork dumplings. For entrees, we love their General Tso's chicken, Mongolian beef or lamb. For sides, their fried rice, lo mein, pickled cabbage and garlic green beens are great. We can't wait to eat indoors here again post-pandemic, we always loved the friendly staff who are so accommodating and sweet to our very busy (and sometimes loud) toddler. Oh my!... When it was suggested to me to have lunch there, I was, like,... whatever... I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN more wrong!!! For starters, their fried won tons (forgive my ignorance, but I compare them to as these are the Chinese version of nachos)... WOW!... Wide - not skinny - and given to you with a dish of duck sauce. When you are done and finished with them, they keep bringing you more!!! The meal itself - HOLY COW! I can't speak for the other people that had their meals, but,... their Hot & Sour Soup.... My only criticism is that I, being the dummy I am, thought that the meal was boneless pork rib (tips). That is my fault for not understanding. I used to love this place. I had given it 5 stars a few months ago. However I have recently come to the conclusion that they don't give a crap about their customers. Last night I had placed a take out order on tut he phone. They said 35-40 minutes which is certainly reasonable. 35 minutes later I pull up to the restaurant and see a socially distanced line of about a dozen people waiting at the entrance. The entrance is completely sealed off. They had installed a thick plexiglass slot. There was a slot to pass them your payment. Then they pass your food to you through the slot. While all this is happening all the customers are expected to line up outside waiting their turn. Now here is the kicker. I stood there waiting for 20 minutes in the rain before it was my turn. I was soaked and my food was cold. So here they are all safe and secure in their self made sterile environment while they make their loyal customers stand in line in all kinds of weather. What they could have done was explain the process when I called in my order. Better yet, they could have had us wait in our cars and called us when our good was ready. Other restaurants at least provide chairs and even a tent to wait in. Not them. They only care about their own health and comfort. There are plenty of other Asian restaurants in the area who have a much more considerate system. Nan Feng actually set up a drive through window. Yummy Yummy has a walk up system with chairs. read more

Very great service and atmosphere, just average prices and taste. I went with a friend for lunch, and it was one of the only places open in the area for lunch- we went right at opening. The atmosphere is great! Very quiet and classy- a great spot for a date. The servers were extremely attentive and it truly felt like we had their undivided attention. They were super kind and helpful. The setting comes with an array of appetizer-type starts. Fried noodles, cabbage, and plenty of great "bread stick beginners". The food itself was a little on the pricier side- and the taste was very mediocre. I got mango-chicken which was on their specials menu, and I felt it was very lackluster. My friend ordered a lobster-shrimp meal and was very impressed with it. So the food receives mixed reviews, but it certainly has not inspired me to return. This is a nice fine dining Chinese restaurant in the suburbs of Philly. I didn't get the chance to enjoy the full ambiance as I ordered take out. But the hot and sour and wonton soups were absolutely delicious. The hot and sour soup bursts with flavor from all the spiced seasonings used in preparation. This soup reminds me of my first time having hot and sour soup as a child and that was the best I've ever had. The taste was quite memorable when it's done right and Jasmine Asian Bistro came very close of the best. I've found that most fine dining has the better quality of soups as opposed to the take out/delivery places. The dumplings in the wonton soup was filled with lots of flavorful meat. We have eaten at this restaurant for years. We have had our first official Awful meal here. My wonton soup was cold, the 2 wonton were undercoooked, there was not meat or scallions in the broth, and the broth tasted like canned broth. The ginger based sauce in the chicken tasted like ginger bread. There were huge chunks of bamboo shoots and a few snow peas. The chicken was chewy and slimy. The broccoli was raw. My husband's mapo tofu had no flavor and his hot and sour was also cold. one of our dinner companions had spareribs and they were fat and greasy and chewy. I had the hot and sour soup which was pretty good with a nice level of heat. The egg roll was luke warm and not so crispy (not a big hit). Pork fried rice seemed to be sitting around for a while - room temperature, a bit dried out and not very tasty. Shrimp with lobster sauce was salty and very slimy (not at all appetizing). General tsos chicken didn't have heat to it. The food was a 3-3.5 and the service was a solid 4, ambiance also a 4. Very Accommodating! They fixed up more seats and tables when we came with more people than our reservation was for and eagerly put the cake in the fridge that we brought for the birthday lunch. Also at the end when we were singing and having cake, they took a picture of us with their personal camera and brought us a picture printed already before we left. Very nice extra gesture, which I haven't seen at a place that wasn't a 5 star expensive dining experience or kid's Chuck-E -Cheese. The decorations in there is what I'm used to, looks like any middle of the road to upscale chinese restaurant back home in honolulu, the kind that my family eats at all the time, so I felt quite comfortable in there (white linens, cermanic white plates, tea pots...) There was free won ton chips for apps, which is different and not in a bad way! The food came out in the timely fashion, and although all the dishes were between $10-14 for lunch, the portions were quite generous and one dish could be shared by two in a normal situation. We had a large party, so opted for 6 dishes to be shared family style. We did have to flag down the waiter quite a bit but he brought fresh tea, water and rice with a little urging. His humor and personality made up for any lack of prompt service. The food was fine, at first I thought the menu looked like any takeout type service in the area, which I dont consider "real" chinese food. However, even with General Tso chicken on the menu, the thai seafood curry had qaulity scallops, shrimp, and whole lobster tail. The shrimps were huge and didn't taste fishy. My chicken with garlic sauce was really good as well but it had way to much veggies compare to the chicken! Voted best of MONTCO 2015. This is a great Chinese food restaurant in Glenside! Each table is served hot tea and those fried chip things with duck sauce (I forget the real name). I went for lunch so they gave me a smaller menu than the normal dinner one. I ended up getting my usual chicken and broccoli (can't go wrong there) with pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, and an egg roll. The hot and sour soup had some meat in it so if you are a vegetarian and was going for this option, I would ask the server about that. All the other food was brought out quickly and was really good. I really enjoyed my experience here. The service was great. The waitress was very sweet, and checked up on me very frequently. The shrimp and broccoli I ordered was a lot more fresh than most Chinese restaurants I've been to. I REALLY enjoyed the tea, which may have been made from actual tea leaves. My Mom loved the decor. She walked around the restaurant and personally visited each knick-knack. She's like that. The food was delicious. Its so nice to find an Asian restaurant that does sit down as well a take-out without having to travel to CC. Since this was the first visit for most of us, we kept it simple. Because, let's be honest, if they can't get Chicken & Broccoli right, there's no point in trying the Peking Duck. Well, my 12yo niece at ALL her Chick&Broc. To be honest, she ate all her chicken and 99% of her broccoli. Impressive. She said it was delicious. I'll have to take her word for it, cause I was kinda scared to ask for some. My 12yo had Vegetable Lo Mein. She really enjoyed it and did not share. My sister and I had the Seafood Delight and it was a delight. The shrimp and scallops were cooked so perfectly, I almost forgot about the rice. The dish was a little mild for what was supposed to be a "hot & spicy" dish. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. My sister-in-law went with the General Tso chicken, and although I didn't get to taste it (I gotta remember to make them share next time) she enjoyed it. Another clean plate. Mom had the Hunan Lamb and I DID get to try that. It was juicy and very flavorful. All of our dishes were beautifully presented. The assortment of veggies used in our dishes was one of my favorite aspects of the meal. A lot of places go cheap like using reg mushrooms instead of straw mushrooms. Baby corn water chestnuts have practically disappeared in a lot of the low end joints. Another standout was the plate of pickled cabbage as our starter and some of the nicest crispy noodles ever. They have a huge menu offering the full range including a separate menu featuring numerous vegetarian dishes. We love their vegetarian egg rolls and Mu Shu. read more

The waiter was really nice and attentive. I enjoyed the hot tea and bowl of fried noodles (I think it was fried noodles) that was brought out while I looked through the menu. I had the Thai Pineapple Chicken and it was really good. It was flavored well and I loved the chunks of pineapples. Yum. Probably the best Chinese food we have ever had. And that's saying a lot as we are New Yorkers and there is a Chinese place on every corner. The go to is the chicken and broccoli. The sauce is perfect. Not too light and watery either. The pork fried rice is jammed with pork as well. The only complaint I have is that it can take a long time to get someone back to the table once the entrees go down. We had a delightful New Year's Day lunch at the Jasmine Bistro in Glenside. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating and gave us the choice of a booth or table. He sat us away from other guests ensuring we wouldn't have to listen to other people's conversations. The lunch comes with complimentary black hot tea and fried won tons with duck sauce. We ordered won ton soup, which was delicious, and the meat dumplings as appetizers. For our main course, we had spicy chicken with orange flavor which was out of this world delicious - crispy, spicy and delicately flavored with orange. We also had the veggie lo mein and the chicken Szechuan style. At the end of the meal, our waiter gave us moist towels to clean our hands and the customary fortune cookies. We also were delighted to receive orange slices to nibble on while we were waiting to pay the bill.
