I usually only review good to great places, as I'd like to give many restaurants the benefit of the doubt that they just might be having a bad day on the day I decided to eat there. However, in this case, I feel I have an obligation as a resident of the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania...nay, as a human being, to make a public plea that none of you fine people EVER eat the poor excuse for Chinese food that these people are criminally negligent in serving. This was take out/delivery. I ordered two entrees. One arrived incorrect and had to be returned. The "correct" one had a distinct odor of cat urine. There was no sauce for the horrible, doughy steamed dumplings, and my Hunan Beef was a tasteless pile of goo. By now you might be getting the impression that I wasn't thrilled with my $27 dinner. Please, before you consider eating here, stick a hot poker in your eye. You'll likely enjoy that more. read more

This is the takeout Chinese place we always go to. I have enjoyed everything i've ever had here. My whole family loves the Cold Noodle with Sesame, and the Steamed Dumplings. That's a meal right there. My favorite is the Garlic Chicken, which comes with a good amount of vegetables. The fried food, like General Tso's and the Sesame Chicken, along with the egg rolls, is nice a crispy. They also have pretty generous lunch specials. The service is also good, and fast. And the prices are pretty low. A lot of Chinese take out is so-so, but this is the best I have ever eaten from. read more

I was so excited to try this restaurant based on the positive reviews but it turned out to be a total let down. There was a piece of hair in my vegetable lo mein, it was the first thing I noticed when I opened my platter. The General Tso chicken tasted more like sweet and sour chicken; not sure if they were running low on sauce and mixed the two together but I am almost positive that it was not 100% general tso sauce. Lastly, we placed an order for a group of four....when we arrived home we found no utensils or no napkins in the bag and none of those crunchy noodles for our Wonton soup. This is the place you order from because you really want delivery, and you're not in the mood for pizza/hoagies/steak sandwiches. They're cheap, the food gets delivered quickly, and it's edible--not great, but better than mall food court Chinese. I've ordered from this place about a half dozen times over the years, and if you keep your expectations low, you can have an inexpensive, OK meal. The two soups that I have tried are the wonton (pretty bad) and the hot & sour (perfectly OK.) Their egg rolls are crisp and hot and filled with cabbage, and not much else. Passable, but not good. The fried rice is OK, nothing special, but as a side with one of their combination platters, it's fine. The sweet & sour chicken/pork has a sauce that my 8-year-old complained was too sweet, although I thought it was not over-the-top. The deep-fried chicken/pork nuggets are fine; nothing special, but what I would expect from a cheap takeout place. The General Tso's chicken does have detectable meat chunks in it, which is better than some places. The sauce is fine. The Roast pork & Chinese vegetables is OK; it could use a few more interesting vegetables, but if you're looking for something not deep-fried, it's available. They actually have tables where you could eat in, although I can't imagine doing so; there are much better Chinese restaurants within ten minutes of here (Szechuan Mandarin, Jasmine), but New Star delivers, so occasionally, they will get my business. read more

Food is very average at best and very expensive for the quality and quantity of food that you receive. I ordered $45 worth of food this evening and felt like I was ripped off. Only stopped here because it was on my way home. I stopped eating here previously due to the poor quality of food but for the convenience I stopped here tonight. When I saw they only gave me two small white rices With all the food I ordered I asked if they would give me a third small white rice. I attempted to explain that due to the amount of food I ordered and the number of people eating the two cartons (pint size ) of white rice would not be enough. The 14 year boy taking orders and working the counter wanted to charge me for the third small rice then father came over and started arguing with me. When I told him I would never order from there again I truly meant it. Should have remembered why I stopped coming here in the first place. Also all the uncooked food sitting out on trays uncovered on the counter was concerning. Seemingly very unsanitary. Quality of food not very good but customer service is worse. read more

The food here was ridiculous me and my family ordered from here three times. The first time was great but the next too times we disgusting... The third and final time the meat for both my platter and my wife's were rotten. Black meat in the inside chicken is never suppose to be black, then the rice was hard it taste stale but it was over cooked and covered.
