I stumbled upon this restaurant during my road trip. It's a spacious restaurant, with great customer service. They chef up authentic Asian cuisine, and even have a bar. I ordered two combination platters. The first one was General Tso's chicken with fried rice and crab rangoon. The second platter was wings with pork fried rice. The platters were decent but can't compare to NYC Asian cuisine (hence the 3 stars), maybe it needs a little more love. Both platters came up to $26, which you can't beat. Ever since the pandemic their food has just been OK. Their prices are average for the area but many other better places to choose from. The lo mien and rice lack flavor and they put way too much cabbage, onions and bean sprouts in them. Jasmine used to have the best buffet around. Sadly, buffets went out of fashion with Covid and while I understand, it was really that good (as far as buffets go). Why are they even open if they hate their customers so much? As soon as you sit down they're rushing you to finish. Food was ok but some of it was cold. The fastest, premade and sloppily shaped crabless crab Rangoon I've experienced. The bar had sports center on with a sportscaster loudly yelling about golf, curling or tennis. Idk. Our server was mostly missing in action. We ordered some sushi. Dragon roll was good. The mints at the front are fake lifesaver brand and tasted like moth balls. Glad I don't live too close. We had reservations at 330pm for 12 people for hibachi. All but 3 guests arrived on time. The waitress asked "any more people arriving?" And I said yes 3 more. She said "reservation was at 330pm". I explained they were traveling an hour to get here and we can't control traffic on the masspike. The arrived late at 337pm! The second they sat down the waitress handed them their menu and asked for their order. Zero time to even look at the menu! My nephew has an allergy to egg. We informed the waitress and cook. They made the rice with 2 eggs on the grill. My nephew got a separate bowl of white rice. The cook then proceeded to cook my nephews meal ( steak and veggies) on the flat top grill that had egg cooked on it a few seconds ago! We had to ask that they cook his food on a clean grill in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Clearly the cook wasn't serve safe certified. I ordered chicken and steak hibachi. Steak was good but chicken was tough and almost crunchy. Rice and veggies and shrimp was good! I've been to this type of restaurant before. It's a fun experience but we were so rushed at Jasmines. I guess I'm behind on reviews seeing as it's 2 1/2 months since we went here for Christmas Eve dinner!!! It was our first time here, we've heard a lot about it and it's very popular, but we had our favorite Chinese restaurant for 40 years, but they have slowly gone downhill and we need to find a new Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and seemed very clean. It was busy, but we were seated right away. We ordered our meal and a couple pineapple passions. Everything came quickly and our meal was delicious and hot. Our drinks? They were lame, we couldn't taste any alcohol whatsoever. My husband ordered a beer for his second drink because of the weakness of the drinks and I ordered a ginger ale. I would go for the food again, but not the drinks. Just visiting Mass for a few days and I was told by the locals that this was the best Chinese restaurant around. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and Crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon came out with a duck sauce and the fried rice had pork in it. The Chicken was a little bit over breaded but had a nice flavorful sweet cherry and pineapple sauce. Both times I have been here we have gone for hibachi. The hibachi cooks are good - they put on a great show. That's about where my praise for this place ends. I tried to talk to the staff before sitting down about what items are vegan so I wouldn't have to be going back and forth with the waitress. She gave me a handful of ideas, so that's what my wife and I ordered. Unfortunately those things come with salad that they delivered and told me the dressing all over it was not vegan (cool, thanks). The food itself was fairly bland and nondescript American Chinese food. The second time I came here I ordered vegetable sushi, and when it was delivered had egg in it that was not on the menu. Hibachi review ... The food was good. They give decent proportions. The cook was wonderful and put on a great show. However, the service was not great. We sat with empty bowls from the salad and soup the cluttering the table thru dinner. We were not offered a drink refill. A guest from our party had to get up and find someone to come fill our empty waters, and order drinks. When the check came, there was an automatic 18% percent gratuity added which was expected, but when the check was handed to us, the waitress said "more, more" while gesturing to the already added gratuity. Was very surprised at how packed this place was for lunch buffet on a Monday. It was my first time eating here and I had no idea what it would be like. Many other reviewers have said, the lighting is very dim, but it's more of a relaxing mood ambiance tone. I don't find it too dark, I mean, who REALLY wants to be able to see everyone around them stuffing their faces at a buffet? Not me. No thanks, the lighting is at the right setting. The service was great, they asked us right away what drinks we'd like, they swiftly took away any soiled plates with food smears, and they even refilled the drinks promptly. As far as the lunch buffet food was concerned, it's pretty worth it for unlimited ice cream, mini doughnuts and the honey chicken alone. The food isn't "omg it's the best" but it's pretty decent. They cook their noodles well, the fried food was crispy, and there's a freezer of ice cream that you can make a sundae with those little fried doughnuts they got. . . The only reason I'm giving them four stars was that some of the food was missing labels, the area around the ice cream where you put the scoops was dirty, and the selection of sushi for the buffet was kinda lacking. read more

I haven't been to Jasmine since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 . I thought I would wait and see if they would resume their incredibly great noontime buffet but it seems like that is not in their immediate future. I figured I would make the drive up from Rhode Island and have lunch recently , choosing from their lunch combo menu. I ordered the Hunan chicken combo and I was not disappointed . The flavor and quality was very very good ! The right amount of spiciness and tender chicken and vegetables . Service was good. What shocked me was there were only 8 other people in the restaurant at noontime . When the buffet was offered I used to get here early just to get a seat ! I am probably not alone in hoping someday they might consider bringing back the buffet - I understand the buffet was probably more work for management but I also think people would be willing to pay more for the choice. I always thought 10 dollars was too inexpensive. I will continue to make the long drive here in the future but not as frequently ( 2X monthly )as I previously did when the noontime buffet was offered . Again I want to reiterate that the food is excellent and I will still visit this restaurant in the future . read more

NEVER AGAIN! Bday party for Dad at the Hibachi. Had 15 people and spent over $800. Right from the start the waitresses were rude and pushy and mad we only 12 were eating. The chefs were great! The waitresses continued to be bitchy and rude. Have NO idea why. End of the meal we paid and tipped well based considering the service. Most of us went home but a few wanted one last drink before we left since we hadn't seen each other in months. The bartender was told by the waitress not to serve us. The Most any one person had was 2 and we were there for 2 hours! They said that my sister couldn't have a drink but the rest could . She tipped $200 alone!!!
