I'm torn writing this review. We used to love Jasmine. I don't know if there is new management or what has occurred; however, there is definitely a service issue with very slow service on numerous occasions. The time it takes to be acknowledged (once seated), receive appetizers, and, more specifically, entrees can be ridiculously long (even when the restaurant isn't full). It isn't an isolated event. Moreover, shrinkage has impacted portion size as well as the size of appetizers. This is very noticeable with the seaweed salad and any of the fried apps. Perhaps they are trying to help me in my weight loss journey by helping me with portion control! It used to be our local go-to spot for Thai. Please bring back the old Jasmine! read more

We arrived with a party of six. Seated immediately, and we received exceptional service throughout the meal. All of the food was delicious, with a nice variety of Thai items with "build your own" ingredients. The sushi was amazing. The Tom Yum soup could have been a bit hotter & sour-er, but it was FULL of chicken. It's just a little storefront, but very impressive inside and great food. read more

If Cheers were a mom-and-pop Thai restaurant (with a side hustle of sushi), it would be Jasmine. Located next to the Cool Springs Publix, Jasmine is one of the few long-standing locally owned spots in this highly commercial part of Franklin. I think this one of my first date spots almost 15 years ago, and has now become a reliable spot for dine-in or takeout on nights I'm too lazy to cook but still want comforting, filling food. Almost every time I come in, I'm delighted to see one of my regular servers who remembers my favorite items, makes friendly banter while I order, and overall makes this an incredibly welcoming experience. There's a lot of regulars like me who have been coming here for years for some of their staple favorites: green curry, red curry, fried rice, pad thai cashew chicken, and truly any of the soups are always hits to me. I always get an appetizer as well with my favorites being the chicken spring roll, the fried tofu, and the small wonton soup. Nothing is spicy unless you request it so, and my meal is always about $14-18, even if I order an appetizer; it's truly one of the few remaining inexpensive spots in the area. Even my parents still request to come here, which is wild as they are truly some of the world's pickiest eaters; there is really something for everyone. Sushi is not my favorite here and I wouldn't call this the most authentic Thai food, but that doesn't make it any less delicious. Easy parking in a plentiful lot, thanks to the shopping complex it's located in. Absolutely in love with the Hung Ray curry here, which is a red curry sauce with fresh ginger and cashew nuts on a bed of carrots and cabbage. So yum, served with a cup of rice, this was the perfect meal. Nandy loved his cashew nuts curry; and Ari loved the noodles with Tofu. We ordered the basil fried rice, despite making it egg free it did not taste good for us, our waitress was nice enough to remove it from our bill. Fantastic lunch experience. Great little place. Ordered chicken lemon grass chicken. Had the dumplings for an appetizer, though small you get 4 of them and they are delicious. You can order your food mild, medium or hot. The medium for me was just right. The lemon grass chicken comes with white rice and a stuffed bell pepper. Service was great and highly recommend. read more

Staff were mostly helpful. After arriving, food + thai tea were delicious -- first time I've have a vegetarian sushi that had more than just basic, flavorless veggies like cucumber or avocado. Ambiance is fine, with a combination of a centered sushi bar, mood lightning, and regular + more traditional floor-seating tables. BUT I gave less than 5 stars bc of the insanity to wait for a table. The system they had was simply giving ur name and number in ur party, and expecting people to wait 1hr + for their name to be called aloud (rather than a phone number/text system). It was a chilly and rainy night, so every group tried to wait cramped indoors. Issue would have been resolved easier by a system that allowed waiting parties to be notified they're almost ready without the hassle of being right in front of the entry desk. Also, midst giving my info for the waitlist (which I waited patiently to do since the line was so hectic/confused), the staff diverted their attention to a DoorDash/Uber order -- unnecessarily interrupting an otherwise 15 second interaction. read more

As I stated in a previous review, this would be a restaurant my husband and I would continue to dine at... We crave this place, and have to go at least once a month... The food is always fresh and tasty... Portion size is perfect... I've tried a lot of lunch entrees on the menu and liked them all.... The rice served with each entree is cooked perfectly... I could never make it taste like that at home.... They also serve a spring roll with each entree that is really good... Plus, it's the only place I'll get a Thai tea, if they keep it at the $3 price... Other Thai restaurants in town are charging $5 or more, and I refuse to pay that... My husband and I always have to get their vegetable Tom Ka Soup, which is so so yummy... My husband and I split a cup when we get entrees... We got the bowl one time, and it was a meal in itself, a little too much when you have other food to eat. At our last visit, we got the Spicy Edamame as an appetizer, and they were very flavorful.... My husband tends to get the Ginger entree (medium) with chicken bc he is so fond of ginger.... He absolutely loves that dish... I got the Hung Ray Curry (mild) with chicken... It was delicious...I actually boxed 1/2 my entree to go bc I had filled up on the soup and beans... So, it's nice to enjoy the flavors for a couple of days w leftovers. Service is wonderful! ...The restaurant is casual and sits in a strip mall.... It gets very crowded, so it's noisy at times...If you want to have a quiet, private conversation, it's not gonna happen here.... This is a tough one. Jasmine has excellent food. We love their egg rolls and their fried rice is second to none. The problem is that we rarely eat in. We order pick up for 5 people and normally get chicken fried rice among other things. It's a decent amount of rice for one tiny container of provided yum yum sauce. Any time I've asked for extra sauce, they've charged me a few bucks PER sauce. I'm already paying $14 for some rice and a few pieces of chicken breast. When our average order is around $60, it feels rude to charge for condiments. If we were dining in, the sauce would be free for as much as we needed. Just a matter of principle but again, their food IS delicious. read more

I got the eggplant chicken and the warm Glass Noodle Salad and although, well portioned it was very mid level food and I would check out another spot when trying to get my Thai craving. My daughter suggested this place for lunch. What I really liked about the menu is they have a variety of lunch specials with curry. Read the list of vegetables and curry that you want and then pick your protein. The protein determines the price of the dish. In typical Thai fashion, the spice level is based on a 1-5 scale. I ordered a curry dish. However, I was a little surprised that it did not come in a bowl. I was expecting more of a liquefied curry. What I got was more of a thicker-based curry. The flavor was excellent just different than what I was expecting. All in all, it was very good. As a side note, my daughter ordered sushi (the Dragon roll) and liked it. Dine-in: Thursday 6/1/23 6:30p Jasmine is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Coolspring area. It's located in a shopping plaza next to Mattress Firm. The restaurant features traditional Thai dishes and sushi. When I visited for dinner, it was quite busy and we were unable to find a large table to accommodate our party of 10, so we had to sit at two separate tables. The restaurant does not take reservations, so it's first come, first served. For this reason, if you have a large party, there may be a wait. We ordered a handful of dishes to try, but here are a couple of recommendations: The Steamed Dumplings, which come with four per order and have a savory filling consisting of minced meat, served with sweet soy sauce. The whole grilled squid is another great option and is served with either spicy Thai sauce or teriyaki. We chose the spicy Thai sauce, and the squid was cooked to perfection with a mildly sweet flavor and a slightly springy texture. The addition of the spicy Thai sauce created a combination of flavors that exploded in our mouths. The crispy duck with tamarind sauce was probably the best duck dish I've ever had at a Thai restaurant in Nashville. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside, and the sweet and tangy tamarind sauce added a balance of rich, savory flavors with a slight gaminess. It's a perfect dish for meat lovers. Additional spice trays are available upon request. Overall, the Thai entrees are amazing, and the sushi is fresh and delicious. The staff are attentive and quick. The order has been not only right but when we asked for a slight modification to a dish they even picked up on that detail considering a lot of restaurant usually miss that section. Our experience has been consistently good - our usual order is the fried Basel leaf rice w/ beef, pad Thai w/ shrimp, setay (so tender), red or salmon green curry. I dined at Jasmine on October 8, 2020 for a late dinner. This restaurant had spaced out tables and dividers for the boxed in tables. Service was excellent and attentive (Thanks Ken!). Everything that we ordered tasted great. I would say the basic rolls were above average and had generous protein to rice ratio. The broiled squid was good and not too chewy. The Tom kha soup had good flavors; I just wish it had more vegetables to balance the amount of soup. I loved the tuna tataki; it was very well seasoned (definitely recommend). Both the crispy duck and whole fish snapper with the spicy chili tamarind sauce were excellent. The duck and snapper were moist and flavorful. I would definitely recommend ordering any of the dishes with the spicy chili tamarind sauce. The fried banana was okay, I thought the honey was overpowering given the fried banana's small size. Overall, I was very satisfied and definitely will return for their excellent service and tasty Asian fusion cuisine. The price value considering the quality of the food was appreciable. read more
