The miso soup was stellar, too. We started with the mango crab rangoons (highly recommend), then ordered a mix of rolls: two cooked: the Hotel Cali and Tidal Wave and two vegan: the Eden (a must!) and the Cowgirl. The food is delicious, they have a great happy hour but the service from the bartenders is woefully disappointing. I've been a couple times and each time the bartenders are lacking in friendliness, accuracy, and efficiency. It seems that they pay more attention to the service bar and chatting with each other, it's surprising to me that management doesn't notice the bar is in need of supervision and improvement. I've had to to get my own napkins, chopsticks, and even had a food runner drop off my food to a couple sitting beside me and scurry away before any of us could tell her that she made a mistake ‍. It's possible that the service is better at the tables though, I sit at the bar because I go solo. Let's start out with the fact that happy hour is all day Monday through Saturday(till 6:30) and all hours on Sunday. Our waitress was very nice and didn't rush us or make us wait for anything. The food is just ok, nothing to go out of the way to get. This location has horrible hostesses. They can't take simple instructions, like we would prefer to sit inside. When we did sit no one even knowledges us for 10mins. We finally walked out. The hostess could have cared less and did nothing to help the situation. I LOVE blue sushi saki! They have a variety of sashimi and nigiri options and if you go during their happy hour, a lot of their sushi is half off! This is great to try a variety of sushi on their menu. The ambiance is so fun too and looks like Godzilla inside! Recently came here with a few friends to celebrate a birthday and we were all very happy with the all-around experience! The drinks (both alcohol and non-alcohol) were beautiful, delicious and unique. The sushi rolls (I believe we all tried 7 different rolls total) were all delicious, unique and fresh -- rivaling the quality of sushi I've eaten in places like Hawaii and southern CA! Their charred edamame appetizer was also amazing. We were there early enough on a Friday evening to also get to enjoy Happy Hour pricing on a lot of items, so that was a plus. The ambiance is fun and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and they have both outdoor and indoor seating options! They do take reservations, there are multiple parking lots for this and the surrounding restaurants, and there is a park area (with dessert options if you've still got stomach space!) right across the street. My family and I have come here for happy hour a few times and it's been a good experience. We love that there's a sushi spot now in Franklin and we really liked the ambiance inside. There are some items we didn't love but some that were really good. The happy hour deals were at a really good price point and is definitely worth checking out. Was hesitant to try this place as I've had some truly awful experiences at the downtown location, but this Franklin outpost of Blue Sushi Sake Grill was pleasantly solid. Upscale sushi restaurant with casual, hangout vibes, particularly due to a great (and dog friendly) patio! The menu here is extensive (all focused on sushi) but one rare thing about it is its incredibly large set of vegan/vegetarian options (including some with faux-tuna, vegan caviar.) This is a great place to come for folks with dietary restrictions. Unlike the downtown location, service here was excellent: attentive but not too pushy and I tried some great sake from waitstaff recommendations. I've been to the downtown location before so know some items are hit/miss flavor wise and tried to stick to things I knew would be winners: specialty sushi rolls, the crispy rice with spicy tuna. The spicy gringo roll is excellent, highly flavorful and this will probably be my new go-to for sushi south of Nashville. An item new to me was the charred edamame: perfectly cooked and the charred cooking method gave the edamame a bit of natural sweetness that was great. This location hasn't been open long but despite having quite a large space can be extremely busy on weekends. Walking in on a weeknight with no reservation was easy, though. Two small gripes were the inside was quite cold (even as someone who liked the AC at full blast) and smelled very strongly of cleaning solution, ruining the ambiance inside quite a bit. When you first walk in here, you're absolutely blown away by the way this restaurant has been designed. What the stunning murals on the wall to the lanterns hung on the ceiling, you won't be disappointed with the vibes in this restaurant. We come here quite frequently because we can typically get a seat at the bar without a reservation. The place does get busy so I don't recommend it on a weekend night. I haven't been disappointed by anything that I've tried here, and I'm pretty sure I've had almost the whole menu. They have fresh fish cooked fresh and even a vegan menu. The fresh is fresh and sustainable. And their cocktails are delicious. And don't out on the dessert. Their tempura ice cream is my favorite dessert here. read more

We were super happy to see a new destination for sushi in Franklin, and Blue Sushi Sake Grill did not disappoint. The space is pretty cool, with a very open feel, a variety of high and low tables, and a somewhat large outdoor dining area. Their menu is pretty extensive, which is great, although it can be a bit daunting with a variety of different sections. They do have a gluten-free menu, although there are additional items from the regular menu that could be modified if you can't have gluten. Our food was really good. The sushi rolls were great, and nice options in terms of flavors and textures. We did find that the service was a little slow and inattentive. The restaurant wasn't especially busy while we were there, and we saw wait staff wandering around, but it took a long time to get their attention when we needed something. Overall a good experience. The food is really good and the location is great, and hopefully we'll get more attentive service next time we stop in. read more

definitely on the fence about this place. first of all, the restaurant is super trendy and decorated very nicely. most nights you will probably need a reservation, but the night we went it wasn't super busy so a reservation wasn't necessary. we had a positive experience getting checked in and seated and our waitress was overall nice. however, once seated we barely saw her for the whole night. other servers brought out our food, drinks, and were asking if we needed anything. we order drinks and they were pretty ok, i probably wouldn't get one again. they also took a while to come out. the sushi was fresh and we really enjoyed our rolls, however, there are other places in the area that will give you better/ bigger rolls for the same price you'll pay here. overall, this place is good but I would probably recommend other places in the area before going here. read more
