Last night in Franklin and stopped by The Eastern Peak for dinner. The modern decor is polished and stylish enough that I fully expected the bill to hurt... but everything was surprisingly and refreshingly reasonably priced. We came in right before the dinner rush and the service was warm and welcoming. Started with the crab rangoon (solid choice), then ordered the volcano roll and the drunken noodles with beef. The volcano roll was tasty, but the drunken noodles absolutely stole the show. Big flavor and great umami. Great food, great atmosphere, great value. Would happily return! read more

Lovely clean environment, decent service, and delicious food. The edamame, miso soup, and Pad Thai were all excellent!

Ordered sample appetizer. Usually very good but this visit they were over cooked and greasy. Ordered hot and sour soup which was very good. Ordered Japanese curry added chicken cutlet Cutlet was tasteless and very overcooked. Curry was very over seasoned and frankly disgusting. The service was excellent. Food is usually very good. Disappointed or find out lunch isn't served on Saturdays, so me & my friend ordered from other areas on the menu. We opted at for sushi and lettuce wraps. I'm picky about lettuce wraps, but these were delicious! I will recommend and be ordering them again. I veered from what was suggested as a top sushi entree bc I was fearful of it being too spicy, so we went with a milder version ~ Crab Dragon Roll~ per the waitresses suggestion. It was definitely mild, but adding Wasabi and Ginger kicked it up a notch. I know, crazy sounding, I don't like "spicy," but I like wasabi. I'm weird! I ordered carry out and thought the waitress on the phone was rude. However, the food was really good. It had flavor and was made well. The portion looked really small but I was full after I finished my dish. My husband got one of the chicken and rice entrees and it was salty but still tasty. Would recommend it for Asian food overall. read more

This place is fantastic! I was seated and provided refreshments promptly and had the pleasure of having Sophia as our server and she was fantastic. We had never been and were torn between a couple different dishes. She provided recommendations and they did not disappoint. The serving sizes were perfect, food fresh, flavorful and well put together. Highly recommend the drunken noodles... I had mine with shrimp. Their thai food is the best I've found in the area. Unlike other places, the meat they use is never dry or fatty. It's good! They do a great job both in the dining room and takeout. We go almost once a week! The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend. read more

The food is really good, everything we have ordered has been flavorful. I love their signature rolls, dumplings and stir fry's. The kitchen throws it down and I appreciate them. The service is always wonky. There are always customers blocking the entry way waiting for their take out. Then when you get past them there's usually a hostess hunched over their phone with it an inch away from their face. Let's not forget about the manager who sits at the bar on his phone and laptop. Then the other waiters in the back chit chatting. Looks like a fun place to wait tables since they don't really check in or wait on you. It almost feels like we're pestering them. The ambiance is fine, it's clean and pretty. I want to continue to eat here but not sure about the service. But Francesca is the only waitress that has been good. Had to give her a shoutout. Yuck. Everything was gross except the people. The people are nice. The waitress was kind and the man, who I assume is the manager, was nice. The food was a complete waste of money and time. The cocktails were like a kid in freshman year of college put them together with a mixer. The lighting might as well be an airport. Just yuck. Really disappointed with the service today for lunch. (nov 24th at 1-2:30)There were four of us -- two arrived early and waited almost 30 minutes before anyone came to the table. We were then told our server had left and we had a new one. Once the rest of our group arrived, we waited another 15 minutes before he finally came over, with no apology, no urgency, and a pretty rude attitude. The food here is always amazing, but the service is consistently terrible every time I visit. What makes it worse is that the restaurant wasn't even busy -- maybe eight tables total, two servers, no bar guests -- yet every table around us looked annoyed and was waiting just as long as we were. Not once did we see any sign of management on the floor. The kitchen does a great job, but the service and lack of management presence really ruin the experience. this will be the last time any of us dine in here. which stinks because we love the one in nashville but this one is much closer. read more

One of the solid asian restaurants in the area. And the food is delicious. You cannot beat their sushi fresh and made to order. The service is fabulous and attentive. This restaurant has been beautifully designed an intimately for a great dinner date. I enjoy this restaurant, not only for their regular food, but also their sushi menu. Their crab fried rice is probably one of my favorite dishes on their menu. But the fish is so fresh on the sushi that I never skip it. The service has always been so great, especially when I bring my kids with me. They're so patient and accommodating, it makes for a great experience. read more

As regulars of the Nashville location, we are so glad to have a Franklin spot. Picked up several dishes for Mother's Day dinner and my MIL was very pleased. The quality seems consistent to the Nash location. We really loved how beautiful it is inside and would love to dine in soon. My go to favorite will always be the drunken noodles with beef, followed by the orange chicken - literally the best I've ever had in my life. When I am watching my macros I go with the Shrimp Avocado Salad and find it filling and enjoyable!! This time we got 5 dishes for several people and tried the Thai Fried Rice and Chicken Katsudon for the first time, in addition, to our two favorites and their Pad Thai!! It was all amazing, would get them all again! As far as service - we were able to pick up with ease and on time and they have sturdy carrying bags to go! read more

I finally tried this place close to work. Food was good, prices a little high (for lunch), I thought the cherry blossom tree would be cool but kind of corny. Please is clean, staff was pleasant...all though didn't come around to check on me and fill my water up until I was almost done. I will try to come back for dinner some night to tr it out. read more

This was my first time dining at this Eastern Peak location - I've always had a great experience at the Thompson Lane location, so I was excited to give this one a try. I started with a side salad -- the greens and tomatoes were tasty and elevated by the sweet ginger dressing. We ordered ground beef lettuce wraps as an appetizer, but the dish was brought out with our entrees. That's not a huge issue, but it was a little messy trying to assemble the lettuce wraps with a table full of plates. But more importantly, they were delicious -- the beef was flavorful, the lettuce wraps were sturdy and the sweet sauce on the side made for delectable sweet-and-savory flavor profile. For my entree, I ordered the sweet and sour stir fry with tofu. The wrong dish was brought out at first, but thankfully a waiter brought the correct dish without me asking. The dish was room temperature at best, which is polar opposite from what I've experienced with the same dish at the other Eastern Peak. The onions were borderline raw, and I only found 3 or 4 pineapple chunks. Overall, it was just okay, which was disappointing as it's usually fantastic. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the experience as a whole. The service was hit-or-miss and the food just wasn't up to the high standard the other location has set. read more

We ordered out on a whim -- honestly never heard of this restaurant before, but it's because I go to the same handful of places here because I'm a creature of habit. The sushi was incredible. Possibly the best sushi I've had in the Franklin area; the two rolls that stood out were the Red Dragon Roll and the Spicy Tuna. The spicy tuna roll wasn't like a normal roll that's just mashed with spicy mayo sauce. It was unique and I loved it. Much lighter and fresher taste. The drunken noodles were great, got medium slice and it was perfect. Definitely had some warm heat, but didn't melt your mouth. My girlfriend got the orange chicken and the portion was just very small in comparison to what you'd normally get for take out for something like that. Would definitely go back and the inside looked beautiful too. read more

Environment is terrific however the food we are pretty sure is laced with MSG. We felt horrible afterwards. Very agitated. My wife had a very strange pulling sensation in her neck. I hope if they're using MSG that they will stop. They also insist on putting half and half in their curries, I've never seen that in a real Thai restaurant. Very strange. read more

Visiting on business and had a craving for Asian food. Came well recommended, was close by so I ordered online, and went and picked it up. Order was ready on time, food was warm, and cold (sushi), so initially I was very happy. Got back to the hotel and was even more happy with the taste. Chicken fried rice was seasoned well and tasted great. Veggie lo main was also good but a little less seasoned and needed some soy or seasoning to ramp it up a little. Drunken noodle was so sweet and full of so much carrot, just also not even the right recipe. Weird. The Japanese curry wasn't bad actually. The kids meals were terrible. The thom Kha was just chicken broth with some coconut in it and no flavor. It was really not good at all. Instant regret. Very nice people and I'm sure sometimes it's ok. But tonight it was not. Stumbled into this new spot by complete accident. The brunch place we wanted to eat at was booked with reservations for hours, and on our way to our Plan B (name rhymes with Mersey Jike's), Eastern Peak caught my eye, and I'm so glad it did! A welcome addition to the Cool Springs Asian-fusion food scene, even if there are a few kinks to still work out. Got takeout here as soon as they opened (fast, efficient, so easy to order online) and decided to try dine-in when out and about with my family. At 5:45 on a Sunday, the restaurant was pretty empty and they had no trouble seating us immediately. It slowly filled up throughout our meal but was never too crowded. The renovation here is incredibly beautiful and it feels like you're dining out at a much fancier restaurant. Unfortunately, the blue & purple lighting in the booths is a little overwhelming of and that detracted from our ability to see our menus and talk to each other throughout the meal. A restaurant always gets some extra points from me when they are able to accommodate a fussy toddler, and I really appreciated how quickly they brought the side of fried rice I ordered for my nephew to make his experience more pleasant. Service otherwise is incredibly kind but a bit slow (but they only had 1 waiter working the whole restaurant.) He forgot a water cup for the toddler and brought out white rice instead of the requested brown, so a few kinks to still work out there. They also don't yet have their bar set up quite yet which wasn't a problem for us but beware if you want that. Overall, food was really good (like a 4/5 for most dishes) with the exception of my mom's chicken teriyaki which was overcooked and quite tough. The lettuce wraps are dynamite here and I enjoyed them as an entree. A little pricey for Asian food, but you are paying for the nicer restaurant setting. This place is a solid way to get your Asian food fix. Will definitely be back and hope they can fix a few of the small things with ambiance and service. read more

Met up with two family members here for a Saturday dinner at 6:30 & was pleased to find it not packed to the gills & no wait to be seated. The ambiance is dim lit & pleasantly decorated. Our server was a young man who I feel like was new to the job as it took him awhile to get our orders in, but that was fine as we were busy chatting. He did ghost us completely after the food was dropped & at some point a different server came to refill water & beverages because we had been sitting for a half hour with empty glasses and some of us had spicy food. Not sure if it was thin staffing or something else but that's the only reason for a star being dropped. Food was better than I had expected it would be. I got the pork bowl which had fried pork belly & char siu around rice topped with bok choy & eggs. It was really good! Also had one of their signature sushi rolls which was good as well. Steamed dumplings were same as anywhere else. I'd come back as I did enjoy the decor & vibes here & the menu is massive so there was other stuff I was interested in. I've never been to any of the Nashville locations even though I used to live down the road from the one in south nash. read more

Currently open only for takeout or delivery (via third party service). Apparently they will open in about two weeks for dining in. The Tom Kha Soup is fantastic! My wife often orders two or three of them when we order from The Eastern Peak so she can enjoy the soup for another couple of days. It is really delicious. I think their specialty sushi rolls are super good as well. I know a lot of sushi purists say this isn't what sushi is supposed to be, but I love the combination of flavors and textures. The Eastern Peak has some great and creative specialty sushi rolls. I opted for the TNT Roll this time, which is one of my favorites. I also had the Orange Chicken this time, which was full of flavor with a nice touch of sweetness. Really good! My wife also had the Seared Tuna Salad, and everything on it was fresh and delicious. We had dined at the location in Nashville's Gulch neighborhood numerous times, so we were very happy to learn that The Eastern Peak was coming to Franklin. We had a great takeout experience and very much look forward to dining at the restaurant (where there will be both indoor and outdoor seating) very soon. read more

Really disappointed as we came here once before and had a great experience! We waited over an hour for our food! 2 sushi rolls & sesame chicken! Everyone got their food but us even people who came in after us!!! We had empty drinks! Never offered to refill them. It was busy but there were still empty tables! Every time they came to our table they said a different reason for why it was late! Listen I get it I've been in hospitality for 25+ years just be honest! You would have thought they'd comp our drinks (not even alcohol) or offer a free dessert for the wait! Nothing! Really disappointing as others were getting their food and getting service!!! After working in this industry for so many years I just don't understand??? I get being short staff but you can still offer better customer service even when things aren't going right and it looked as though it was only our table no one else! Bummed as we wanted this to be our go to place! We are still sitting here with empty plates, no drinks, no one is clearing our dirty plates and no check!!!! Pitiful! read more

I've tried tons of Asian cuisine throughout my life, and this place truly stands out above the rest. The food was absolutely exceptional, fresh, and flavorful. Every dish was packed with authentic taste and care. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. I can say with absolute confidence that this is the worst food I have ever consumed. The chicken likely wasn't even chicken - it was like jerky, impossible to chew, soaked in a runny, watery "orange chicken" sauce. The nigiri was cut terribly and falling apart. It didn't taste fresh. The gyoza looked and tasted nothing like gyoza. It was hard to bite through, similar texture to the chicken. There was hardly anything inside. The fried rice tasted old and stale, with absolutely zero flavor. Not one item we received was even remotely close to justifying the $75 we spent on the food. There are a shortage of food sushi places in middle Tennessee, but this one might be the worst. read more

I have dined here multiple times. All of the staff is lovely, and the food is amazing. I like the red curry and the shrimp tempura roll. My boyfriend is happy that they have Japanese beers. The restaurant has great lighting. read more
