She gained my trust, however, Laura Rasmussen is very manipulative and condescending. She changed the document without my knowledge after I signed it, then went ahead and filed it with the court. 2. LAURA BROKE HER OWN CONTRACT -per Laura's contract, it is a requirement that once you start mediation, if you continue, she has to have payment. This she did not do and it left me in a position to beg my family for money when they didn't have any. 3. When going through the contract (I thought I signed) compared to the one she filed with the court, there were discrepancies. She added stuff in like, "it being a requirement for me to attend therapy", which I did not sign off on. 4. Laura wanted to act like an attorney. - When I went to court, my ex filed a bunch of false accusations. He claimed I was a drug addict and when the commissioner asked for drug tests, he tested positive for cocaine, I passed mine but because I didn't have an attorney due to money issues, my son was placed in his dads care. DAD ASKED FOR OVERALL DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY AND LAURA ADVISED THAT BECAUSE THIS WAS ALREADY IN PLACE WITH THE COURT, SHE COULD NOT CHANGE THAT. she straight up lied to me and now the man I am trying to get away from, who abused me, has final say in "decision making". If my sons dad wanted to move out of state tomorrow, he could.....I could take him to court but of course, this is more money and another way my ex can use the court to abuse me and our son emotionally and financially. 5. To fix my agreement, I supposedly signed, I'm looking at 20k.....think about that before you sign a contract with Laura!!!!!! I have spent over 50k just trying to turn this whole thing around.

They knew I lost the job I was going to get because of this, I had two surgeries and permanent damage, but they didn't care! They made sure to lower the doctors bills to benefit them!!! Had I not hired them and gone with my own insurance i would've have DOUBLED what I was entitled too!!! They made it seem like because they went down to 25.16% of the fee it was a great deal! No they only gave me .99 MORE!!! They even charged me 502.36 for in office costs and medical records! Than why in the hell did they need that percentage!!! This is truly disgusting and not right. I had to do a lot on my side so my family, a single mom, could stay afloat!!! You can't tell me the firm couldn't have given me a couple thousand more!!!! DON'T GO WITH THESE GUYS! I also happened to graduate from real estate school and rent out a property I own...but I said what I said: many landlords in Utah are leeches. They will do horrible things just because they know they can get away with it. I joined a group on Facebook because I got the absolute lowest of low property management company with an apartment I used to live in and was looking for someone that could help me with the legal issues. I made a post in the group asking for a landlord/tenant attorney on the tenant side. Most of the comments on my post were sarcastic laughs and comments saying "good luck" or people straight up warning me that there was hardly anyone willing to do this in Utah. However, there was one comment, from Brooke herself, saying to call her office tomorrow and let her know what is going on. I called her the next day. She was attentive and actively listened to all the BS this apartment put me through. Brooke and I kept in contact and I ended up retaining her to represent me against the apartment. Brooke helped with negotiating with the apartment and making sure that I was within my rights. Brooke was quick and I felt like she had my back throughout the entire process. There was a few times that it took a second until I heard back, so I do feel like communication and next steps could've been slightly better. However, again, she was very clear and I didn't feel scammed or like she didn't represent me to the fullest. There is nobody I would recommend more than Brooke for any of the legal needs you need help with, within her scope. She was great to work with and truly worth every penny. I will continue encouraging potential clients to contact Brooke, because of the amazing impression she had on me, throughout my time with her.

And I could get attorney fees back too. He left in 2024 to his new law firm he's working at now. I got a new attorney instead of the case going with him. They defended the other party and threw the case. It cost me several thousand around $12 to 15 thousand the attorney office told me to put it into insurance and have the hoa take care of it now. The hoa is saying there putting the owner now on the board and hasn't even fixed their leak. And since it went that way they put it on my insurance for over $17,000 instead of the other parties insurance like it should be. I know Farr Cragun and Berube are not good attorneys I think I would have had better luck with Brody. But for me the case was lost and the harassment from there renters don't stop. during the case they used 5 attorney. Thanks Donald Smuin

In less than 30 days I had more money than expected and my case was finally resolved. Please do your research on divorce lawyers (especially if it's your first ever divorce) I was definitely taken advantage of and was charged over $6k for absolutely NOTHING!!! Countless time on meetings and phone calls that lead nowhere and he claimed he wasn't getting response from other lawyer involved and made many excuses why it was taking so long. Never once mentioned mediation in the beginning. MEDIATION should percent be done first thing before any lawyer involved I ended up firing Mohammed and went to mediation and offered exactly what we were planning to offer and was done in 4 hours and only had to spend $550. Now I am in a huge $6k hole (nothing received for this money) and I should of done more research instead of doing what most people think is right(hire a lawyer who should have experience and knowledge) PLEASE do not waste your money or time with this firm. They blamed it on an over zealous court clerk. They had the nerve to bill me the additional hours for processing the documents! My partner plead guilty to domestic violence and domestic violence in front of a child and he still got 50/50 custody. I spent over 10k! I wasn't going to leave a negative review( this was more than year ago) but I just received an invoice for $6 for an apparent text message sent last month. I haven't even spoken with the law firm for well over a year! It's only $6 but it's ludicrous. My case was closed. They took it off right away when I called, apparently they have a client with the same first name so they sent me their invoice. I'd look elsewhere for representation.
