I really like Dora, but the guy who calls to confirm, or should I say calls to lecture you on how making an appointment online is just a request, is as rude as they come. Absolutely zero customer service skills and a mightier than thou attitude. If you hate what you do get a different job! It's bad enough that I'll go elsewhere. Exactly the response I expected. Accept zero input, never be wrong. Perception is everything. You (or whoever it was) were rude and condescending. Don't save a customer and help out your employee by saying "we're sorry about that, didn't mean to come across that way", just continue the only way you know how, defensive and no thoughts on what customer service entails. I love Jason David Salon! I have been going to this salon since 2015 and I even fly back to California from Texas to have my hair done by Linda. The whole team in Jason David's is the best! I love the fun banter and always lively atmosphere I experience while getting my hair done there. The owner Demi is a hoot and so animated with his hilarious stories. I have watched all the stylist perform in there and always see beautiful cuts and color and on trend styles walking out the door. I am a fanatic to have the right blonde and Linda nails my sunny blonde every time. She listens and never gets tired of my picture showing or cautious request on how to do my hair. She knows what she is doing and always makes me feel beautiful when she is done with my color and cut. Linda's cuts, color and blow out styling is the best. I highly refer this salon and I dont know what kind of a person wrote those disturbing reviews? I have never experienced that treatment nor seen that type of atmosphere. Let's start with first impressions. A woman sitting at the front desk was buried in her phone when I walked in. She didn't bother to look up to greet me. The owner abruptly asked me, "who is your stylist?" I told him, and he pointed to the person at the desk. He then said she'd be with me in a bit and to sit down. I should have gone with my gut instinct and asked for their cancellation fee. From the very beginning, I was made to feel I had interrupted someone's important day, and they all had better things to do. I've seen Great Clips stores with more customer-friendly people and atmosphere. I have (had) extremely long hair. I like it long. When I shared a photo (of me from my last cut), I clearly stated I wanted approx 3 - 4 inches taken off all around with long layers. The stylist acknowledged my request. However, I continued to feel like I kept her from something else and wasn't welcomed. It was obvious she wasn't interested in establishing a new client. When I asked a question, her response was, "it's up to you" I wish she would have taken those words seriously when I told her how I wanted my hair cut. I'll get to that in a minute. The odd feeling in the salon was amplified when the owner was complaining about a customer. I caught his eye in the mirror to acknowledge I could hear him, he seemed to realize the inappropriate "out loud" conversation and politely closed the door between us. On top of that, my stylist shared her opinion with me on masks and vaccines. They were not solicited or welcomed. Who does that when trying to establish a client-based relationship and you don't know their beliefs? Here's the worst part and why I'm posting this review. I realized as she was cutting my hair she decided I needed a new style and cut 7-8 inches off the front of my hair to apparently shape my face. Unfortunately, I had no recourse after the first snip! I never said I wanted a long shag... or tapered in the front.... I clearly said 3 times... 3-4 inches off all the way around with long layers. I also specifically said I didn't want my hair to hit shoulder length because it's too much work. I guess she took that to mean cut it up to my cheeks? Because their mirrors are too high to see my whole face sitting down, I didn't realize how bad it was till I got home. As a result, despite the atmosphere, she got a healthy tip. I believe in tipping well. Or at least did... definitely going back to tipping for the level of service I receive. Anyway, my hair in the back is very close to what I wanted (although seriously, those are NOT long layers they don't even reach my neckline.) I can live with that part as she kept the length in the back. I can't say that about the front; I absolutely hate it. The hair that used to fall over my shoulders is now cheek level. The cut might "technically" be good, I can't tell, and it doesn't matter when I am sick over the style. If I wanted 7-8 inches cut off the front, I would have said so. If I wanted my face framed with wispy strands that are now fly-aways I have to contend with, I would have asked for that. There were no errors in what I communicated. EVEN SHOWED HER A PHOTO to follow! Now all I can do is to wait for it to grow back. Perhaps a year or two from now I will have the length back. When businesses are trying to rebuild, the actions and experiences at Jason David's Salon were surprising and sad. I never felt valued as a customer, and upon getting home, I realized I certainly wasn't heard as a customer. I would rather pay a bit more for a better customer experience. But wait, there's more: To top off the experience, the stylist wanted to take a picture of my cut for her library... she couldn't get the camera on her phone that kept ringing while I was there to work. So, she sent me a text, "Send me a selfie at this number." Not Thank you for coming in today; thank you for the $50 tip and spending $225.00 with us. Never a thank you. Never again! read more

They were able to get me in within an hour of my call for a trim. Dora was very sweet and did an excellent job. She cleaned up my undercut, trimmed two inches, and dried my hair. She asked multiple questions to ensure that she was doing what I wanted with my cut which I really appreciated. Everyone was cheerful and friendly and thanked me for my patronage. I was just escorted out of this salon by Demi X, an angry, arrogant stylist claiming to be the owner. He was obviously having a bad day (computers were down) and decided to take his bad mood out on me ~ the paying client. He was only interested in criticizing the previous color process on my hair, going so far as to ask if it was professionally done. I had requested a skilled colorist and they booked me with him. I am posting a review Negative one !! Unfortunately.. I usually don't write these ... but here I had too so no one new to the area will have none of the same experiences I just had ! If outraged behavior from the owner ( young 45 guy w ego above you all ! Obnoxious & Pretentious!) is not enough? But pestering for money prior the service rendered? Why would they need to collect the money before the services rendered ? May be that is a pattern for that shop and they have a lot of unhappy customers who refuse to pay for bad job? Just crossed my mind that could be the reason I m thinking . That's my only guess they went after me so many times requesting me to pay telling so and so is going to lunch and they have to close out the cash register.. it wasn't late in a day it was only 3 pm in the afternoon . Unheard ! Untactful ! Disrespectful client service! In very very poor and low taste! I won't recommend this place ..That's for sure! The young lady Taylor hairstylist who I had scheduled apt based on yelp reviews.. ( must be their own ppl) She had NO knowledge how to color my hair .. not using a brush or a comb to separate my hair not parting it but simply squishing and squeezing the color over my hair & than combing it .. ??? I had only the grey roots to touch up and no major color job. I m from NYC... where I go to the hair salon for 70 for color and blow dry and it's in place well known by well known trained stylists like "Bumble & Bumble." Being new in town and needing a root touch up I didn't know where to go. Since Jason David hair salon was close and had received excellent Yelp reviews, I gave it a try. My stylist was Taylor and she was amazing. She matched my color perfectly, deep conditioned my hair (with soothing scalp rub) and gave me a fabulous cut. She was easy to communicate with and very very sweet. I will most likely make her my "go-to" girl while in the desert. Couldn't be happier with her and the whole vibe of the salon. We wandered in here with my 10 year old son desperate to get him a haircut last minute before a family gathering. They initially said they were very sorry but they don't do kids haircuts! I said ok and started to leave but Demi said he could make an exception no problem. He cut my son's hair and it looked amazing. He also had my son laughing and enjoying the experience.
