Jason Krist Electric is the best. I've hired them for approximately 5 jobs at my house since 2017. They've done everything from EV charger installation to lighting installations, to Cat6 Ethernet runs and smart switch installation. Every time they come to my house, they are professional, strategic, and always clean up after themselves. I most recently hired them for an Ethernet run from my upstairs through my attic and then to my downstairs entertainment center. It was not a straightforward or easy looking job. After a site visit and some exploration, they were able to do the job while only putting a single visible hole in a wall that usually has a mirror covering it. Originally I thought they'd need to make 3-4 holes. They patched the single hole and I now have Ethernet to every device in my house I desired. Jason has consistently provided our home with excellent service and clean installations. He has installed fans in our 3 bathrooms, additional outlets in our bathrooms and in our bedrooms and family room, and ran power for our hot tub! My husband was outside cutting some shrubs and cut right through the extension cord. This caused a whole wall to short out. The last thing we wanted to do was tear apart the wall looking for it. My husband is handy and can build and rebuild things however not an expert at electrical. We called Jason and his team to come out and fix the problem for us. They did an amazing job, were clean and polite and was able to fix the problem in under an hour. They were also great at letting us know of some things that we should think about getting fixed in the future to prevent other problems we might have. Jason Krist has just completed an electrical breaker board upgrade for me. The job normally requires one and a half days but he and his crew did it all in one day, so my power was back up that night and happily my time was free the next day. They were on time and worked solidly all day. Jason is very personable and communicates well, which is important to me as I like to know my needs are being understood, and I like to know what's going on in the project - the big picture. Part of this is simply learning stuff, and Jason indulged me. I totally trusted having the guys around my house - another important factor for a single female like me. Although also a commercial electrician, Jason does a lot of remodeling and lighting design. He spent some time looking at my kitchen and discussing the possibilities, (which was after he had finished the job he did for me and been paid for it, and we weren't even talking about electrical), but I sensed a natural interest and appreciated being able to get some feedback on my ideas. I think he just likes looking at new situations and figuring them out, which might be why he likes remodels and lighting projects. He did solve a couple of unforeseen problems on my job, one being encountering rock when drilling to ground my wires, figuring out how to ground the other end in an another building, etc . read more

If you need some lighting advice or electrical work and want a person who is honest, dependable, knowlegeable, personable, and gives you excellent work at a fair price, hire Jason Krist. We are glad we did! Another electrician had told us it was impossible to install recessed lighting in our tract house living room, but Jason figured out a way to do the wiring, and he knew about a new type of LED recessed light that fit into the tight space above our ceiling. The result is absolutely gorgeous. While he was in the attic, he discovered some substandard wiring work that was done by the previous homeowner, and he corrected that. He was also able to replace some older, unattractive recessed lights in our kitchen, and he corrected the wiring in one bedroom to solve an annoying problem we've endured for years. One of the things we like most about Jason is that he communicates so well. He hears what you say and knows what you mean. He also has a wonderful sense of design. He makes suggestions and gives you options. He knows how various lighting might look in your home and helps you come to a decision.
