Rob Ellis is as straight talking as the come, in my particular case, I walked in with a build sheet for a very specific pickup truck, instead of the usual routine of 'let's see what we have on the lot to sell you' Rob took one look and said yep the only way to get this is to order it, no problem we will get it done and call you when it's here, he then ensured that every box was ticked option checked and detail of the vehicle was correct before it was submitted to the factory for production, emails and text messages followed over the course of 10 weeks detailing the progress of the vehicle along with an eta for delivery to the dealership. True to his word Rob called after normal hours informing me it had just arrived and been unloaded and I was welcome to come see it anytime I wanted. Even at this stage if I wanted to walk away I could, but obviously I ordered the vehicle with the intention of taking delivery. My trade in process was made more complicated due to having two vehicles to trade, but again this process was made extremely easy with minimal haggling involved due to the process being fair and well explained, once the deal was signed with Jason, including going above and beyond to ensure I qualified for an incentive deal to discount the truck further, Rob took time to go over the vehicle and make sure everything was set up correctly and any questions I had were answered fully. This sort of service is exactly why I will purchase from a family run business rather than some huge national chain, as they genuinely care about the customer and the service they receive. A full tank of fuel, a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty and my free oil change to look forward to, I was on my way home in the truck I had built exactly the way I wanted, no drama no stress at the experience, just a professional transaction from start to finish. So, we put a lot of trust in Ron to help us pick the right vehicle. We were particularly concerned with whether the car sustained any mechanical damage from the front and fender bender that it was in. He repeatedly reassured us that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the engine and that it was merely bodywork. Hundreds of miles and dollars later, we arrived at frontier motors and within the first few minutes of our test drive found paperwork showing that the car had had the transmission replaced, and that mechanical damage was sustained during the accident. When we confronted Ron about this, he threw a childish tantrum. We talked to the manager, and he was unwilling to admit his wrong or to make it right for tricking us into traveling hundreds of miles for a dud car. These people are scammers even though they pretend that they are good business people. Don't trust them.
