I have had this type of warranty with other manufacturers and never had to pay any type of diagnostic fees. I was a little put off but authorized it. An oil leak was covered under warranty but the other issue I had with the ambient lighting was still in question. The service writer called me to let me know that the tech had three hours diagnosing the issue but still had now answer. At this time i was told I needed to authorize more diagnostic time to the tune of roughly $800. At this point I told them to stop and I would pick it up and decide what I wanted to do. My next call was to the original selling dealer, MB of Bonita Springs. This is where the extended warranty was purchased. I spoke with the GM and explained my issue. He put me in contact with their head service writer and made an appointment for service down there. I asked if I was going to have to pay for diagnostic time. His response was "your vehicle is under warranty, so no". I dropped the car off and within 30 minutes I get a call back to let me know there was an electrical connector unplugged under the dashboard. Keep in mind that drive was 18 hours round trip. So either Centennial was either trying completely rip me off or they have no idea what they are doing. Either way it's unacceptable. Most recent encounter. I had a problem with the convertible top. I had the tech at the independent shop that does maintenance on the car look at it and he suggested I take it to the dealer. Reluctantly I brought it back to Centennial. The car sat there a week after my appointment before they looked at it. I was then told it was going to be $6300 for the repair. $3100 labor and $3200 for parts. You guessed it, I picked up the car and brought it to Johnson's Trim Shop. $75 for parts and $400 labor. Top works flawlessly now. I've only been there twice and won't be back.

While Gavin was our main contact, I did have interactions with other members of the Service Department and they were all extremely helpful and considerate. So, we put a lot of trust in Ron to help us pick the right vehicle. We were particularly concerned with whether the car sustained any mechanical damage from the front and fender bender that it was in. He repeatedly reassured us that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the engine and that it was merely bodywork. Hundreds of miles and dollars later, we arrived at frontier motors and within the first few minutes of our test drive found paperwork showing that the car had had the transmission replaced, and that mechanical damage was sustained during the accident. When we confronted Ron about this, he threw a childish tantrum. We talked to the manager, and he was unwilling to admit his wrong or to make it right for tricking us into traveling hundreds of miles for a dud car. These people are scammers even though they pretend that they are good business people. Don't trust them.

I took my car to the dealership to have the recall addressed, only to be told that the recall was not the cause of the issue I originally brought my car in for. The repair shop also replaced a battery cable/cord, but unfortunately, that did not resolve the problem. When I went back and requested a partial refund for the diagnostic since the diagnosis was incorrect and the issue remained unresolved, they refused. I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. I understand that diagnosing vehicle problems can sometimes be complicated, but I paid $500 expecting an accurate diagnosis and a solution to the problem. Instead, I was without my vehicle for weeks, paid for a repair that did not fix the issue, and was left with the original problem. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage anyone considering this shop to get a second opinion before authorizing expensive diagnostic or repair work. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my experience was handled professionally or that the service provided was worth what I paid.

They had me complete in about 2.5. The staff was friendly. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase services not needed. It's too early to tell if they fixed one of the other problems I brought the car in for, but like most dealerships, the service costs are expensive. They didn't have an idea what was causing my transmission problem and I saw a long and expensive road of trouble-shooting ahead. I'll deal with it for a little longer.
