Terrible place to eat the customer service wasn't up to standards the food is overpriced for what they sell I would not recommend

Bread was slightly toasted, could've used a bit more color for my liking. Otherwise, a solid sandwich. Consistent quality, like every sandwich I've had at Jason's. Place was clean, service was quick. We ordered salads. They were very good. We had trouble finding a place to sit that wasn't covered in food particles from previous patrons. We were there around 2:00 pm and it was near empty. I pointed out to manager that the tables and floors were littered with food. He agreed and said he saw what I was talking about. Someone started cleaning tables by wiping the debris to the floor. They really need to pay attention to the cleanliness of where customers are sitting. read more

Too many details to put it all here so I will be contacting Corporate. First of the good: The Evansville, Indiana location on Green River Road usually has decent food and service. Maybe Therese, the employee that wishes everyone, "have a blessed day" was having a different kind of a day. I can say 100% of the time the staff, (usually it's her) forgets to bring a fork out to the table when she delivers the food for my wife, which requires a fork to eat. Same was true today. So we politely asked her for a fork for my wife's food. She came back with a plastic fork. Was this to diss us? They do have metal forks which when we dine in, we, as most people, prefer metal over plastic. I went back up and grabbed a metal fork and as I was turning to go back to my seat, she gave me a look like, " What the heck are you doing? I just brought you a fork?" Unsaid, but the look said it all. I felt the need to explain so I said, "I was hoping for a metal fork." Should have been the end of the story, but as I get about 10 feet away, walking back to my seat, she yells out, "Well, you don't have to be rude!" At that moment, everyone at the salad bar turned and looked at me, wondering what kind of a creep I was to be rude to an employee. I was not at all rude. I did not raise my voice. I did not use any bad language. I simply stated that I was hoping for a metal fork. Calling me out in front of other patrons and employees for being rude when she was the one that was rude is unsettling and inappropriate. I hope she has a better day tomorrow because many people would have yelled back something unkind. I did not. read more

Haven't been here since before COVID. I always love their salad bar, and glad it was back, but I wanted to try their new Greek Chicken Wrap. It was just as described - so yummy. The only thing I would add was a little more tzatziki sauce. Instead of chips, I added steamed veggies for an additional charge. They were bland. I wasn't wanting any cheese on them, but it would have been nice to have a bit of salt or some seasoning. My friend also ordered the wrap and really liked it. I'm not a big wrap person because they always seem dry, but this wasn't. And it was a large portion. Anyway, it was a good, filling meal, and I'd definitely get it if I go again. read more

Yes we did and WOW!!! The food was good! I could not make a better sandwich myself. The atmosphere was nice. The employees were awesome. The service was right on point. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at yelp to sort through places for lunch while I was in Evansville recently. Staying in a nearby hotel I saw Jason's Deli and ended my search for lunch options. I enjoy the trips to Jason's Deli around the country and this one certainly does not disappoint. I had the salad bar and a drink, which you can use the kiosk to purchase and bypass the line if there is one. Score. I helped myself to several trips to the salad bar, taking advantage of the hummus, crackers, and fresh veggies and prepared salads. The salad bar is kept clean, and everything looked and tasted fresh. They have a few TVs around in case you are dining solo. My only complaint would be one trip to the salad bar I came back and found my table cleared. Another patron tried to stop them from clearing it as they saw I went back to get more salad, but it didn't work. Not really a big deal as I just explained to one of the employees and they gave me another cup to refill my drink. Hence the four stars instead of five. read more

The "managers special " is far overpriced. The price isn't mentioned on the sandwich board. There's a 2.89 up charge for fruit or Mac and cheese not mentioned or clear on sandwich boards either. I would find this "food" costing 15.00 overpriced at 7.00. The roast beef sandwich was very tough roast beef deli meat on a stale 1/2 sandwich roll and inedible, the soup was old and not edible as well and I picked up at 5pm. The fruit with fruit dip was decent. Good thing that was as fruit, dip, and soup crackers with my own cheese was my dinner. . Extremely over priced and disgusting quality a 1 was generous. This is my all time favorite place. After driving a hour and 20 mins this was by far the worse I've ever seen this place. I'm so disappointed, the store itself was very dirty. Over half the tables were dirty the dust was so thick on the wood divider you could write your name. The bathrooms were disgusting one toilet was clogged another had urine all over it and the trash was overflowing. The salad bar had multiple items empty and the floor was so sticky that one of the people I brought with me almost fell when her shoe got stick to the floor. There were wet signs out but no sign of water on those floors in forever. Then we were charged incorrectly so we had to get that taken care of. Usually the staff is super friendly but not last night. There was a hair in my salad dressing and a top it off a hair in my friends also so very sad that I had to witness my favorite place of all times be at it's lowest. read more

I was so happy to see Jason's Deli passing through Evansville tonight. I knew it would have something for my picky toddler, tired husband, and myself with no trouble. I had a half sandwich and salad, while my kids had kids meals and my husband had soup. Who doesn't love Jason's outstanding salad bar?! And the free ice cream! Extra star to the staff who left grapes out of the fruit side for my (very young) son. After a long day, I was so happy not to have to cut things up. Today I ordered the Beefeater sandwich with au jus. The sandwich was a monster. Overall the taste was pretty good. I personally think the au jus and beer could stand to have some more seasoning. I also ordered their Lobster Chowder. While I didn't like the fact that there weren't any large chucks of goodies in it, the flavor was very good. The food was brought out fast and hot. They also offer FREE ice cream for desert. Last note, I found them to be a little pricey, but not so bad I wouldn't come back. It cost my wife and I $25 for lunch. Hubby and I are trying out places that offer Pastrami sandwiches. We tried the Hot Pastrami sandwich and the New Yorker that has both Pastrami and Corned Beef. It was our first time here and it was a little confusing but thankfully a customer helped us by telling us to take the takeout menu to see what all was offered. In years of going here, this was absolutely the worst experience we have had. My wife's pastrami was dry, cut too thick, tasteless and rubbery. It looked like it was cut yesterday. The surprise at the end really upset me, though. As I picked up the last half of my panini, a long dark curly hair trailed from the bottom of the sandwich. The response from the manager Jacob? This place had above average food. I've been here several times, IT IS NOT CHEAP! I recommend getting a half sandwich and salad bar. I am very big on my food being HOT and they have passed the test every time. The also have "free" ice cream... Well with the price you pay something better be free! We arrived just a little after 11 on Saturday for lunch and they were pretty busy. Grab a menu when you first arrive because unlike a lot of places the board above where you order has only a partial selection and things not on the menu. Today I ordered the Cuban, my wife ordered the 1/2 Chicken Panini, with fruit cup, and my son ordered the Deli Club. They will give you a number and you will find a table and place that number in a stand at your table. They bring the food to you. It was approximately 5 minutes before we received our order The sandwiches were to order and both Janet and Josh liked their sandwiches. Janet said the fruit cup was fresh and delicious. This was my second time to this location. Last time I ordered the Pastrami and it wasn't as good as the Pastrami sandwich I had at the Birmingham location. Pastrami wasn't as tasteful or as abundant at this location. Maybe I just caught a bad sandwich. The Cuban I had today was delicious. You could easily taste the roast pork, ham, pickles, and cheese. You could also taste the mustard but it wasn't overpowering. The ice tea with real cane sugar was very good also. Janet and Josh got the complementary ice cream and they both enjoyed that. All in all a winner. The average sandwich with chips and drink us about $8-$9. They do have a salad bar and made to order salads for those interested. read more

We went to Jason's deli today after not being there for a few months. We decided to get the salad bar as that was always a good choice in the past for lunch. I was surprised to find out the salad bar, no soup included, and a drink was almost $22. I wish we had just turned around and left, the salad bar was not worth even half that much. The salad bar does not have that many items to be paying so much. The onions were very tough and you needed to use a knife to cut them, the little corn muffins tasted like they've been dipped in some kind of fish sauce, they had a very fishy taste to them. The small pieces of garlic bread that used to be very tasty and crisp were now soggy and oily. We were extremely disappointed in the salad bar. We used to love going there just to get the salad bar but it was never $22 for two people. From our seat we could see all kinds of food and debris on the floor, even a screw that look like it had fallen out of the table. There was somebody there busing tables, but they were taking just one item off the table little time, taking it back to the bus station, and going and getting one more item. We will not be going back there anymore. Their sandwiches are so/so and somewhat lacking on the deli meats. They are simply not worth what they charge for salad bar and/or sandwiches. read more

This place is pretty solid. If you can get past the weird 90's soft jazz that's blasting, the food is pretty good. Always nice and clean, great salad bar (could use some more protein on it), and all of the sandwiches I've tried were delish.
