My husband and I come to Jason's Deli usually knowing exactly what we want. Unfortunately it looks like they did remove a few menu items including the Papa Joe sandwich and telera bread. :( I know that's not something they can control as a location so regardless of that slight disappointment, everything we had today was great and service was friendly. I got Shelley's Deli Chick with a side salad. I thought the salad would've substituted out the chips that the sandwiches come with but I still received the chips! Loved that. My husband got the chicken panini without tomato, with the chips and a bowl of Irish potato soup. I remember pre-covid, the crackers/garlic toast/muffins at the salad bar were for everybody and they had small plates out for them. Now they only come with the purchase of side salad. Everything we ate was yummy and definitely made for a great lunch. You get the salad bowl/side plate right after you pay, before your food comes out. The salad bowl is a pretty big size! You can certainly fill it up to make an entree size salad. There's an okay collection of toppings and as well as a few other items like potato salad and chocolate mousse. The lettuce was almost to the point of starting to wilt but it was still good. My sandwich came on a croissant which is awesome. Chicken salad was a good portion. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich! The pesto inside adds lots of flavor. The soup was definitely his favorite. Comes with cheese and bacon on top! Yumm!! First time here, great salad bar! The girl who took my order didn't explain you only get one trip to the salad bar. Fortunately I had loaded my plate with enough salad so I was fine when I finished. And I'm very ok with that, the businesses needs to make a profit as their prices are kept very reasonable as they are. The salad was fresh and tasty, and the salad bar was kept spotless clean by a very nice Hispanic lady. And the best part was getting the vanilla-chocolate soft serve cone at the end. Stopped in for lunch one day after hearing how great Jason's is by others. My sandwich was excellent, the pot pie soup was tasty but left a little to be desired- it was solidly room temp, would have been better if it had been warmed up. After going to McAllisters last week I can say with 100 percent certainty that Jason's Deli is by far a better dine in experience. More staff, salad bar, more food items and they were out of nothing. You order and they have an assembly line so after you pay , you get in line and we had our plates for salad bar, chili and silverware all put on the tray for us before we sat down. Salad bar was fresh and constantly tended too. Vintage rock plays , restaurant is super clean and tables are spread out so you are not in close proximity of other tables. Great assortment of beverages and desserts. Strawberry shortcake looked amazing. Prices were great. And ice cream with the salad bar...yes this place is awesome for dinner when cooking is something too hard to do after working all day..I am all in on this place. It took a closed-Arby's for me to discover Jason's, and boy, was that a good lunch. Not cheap, but it fit the bill: half a roast beef sandwich and a side salad. I haven't been to a salad bar since the start of the pandemic. This one didn't have as many items as the old Ruby Tuesday's, but there was enough to keep me happy including different toppings and mini muffins. The sneeze guard and required plastic self-serve glove seemed adequate -- I hope! -- to prevent contamination. One can tailor the sandwich any which way with a choice of breads, meats, condiments, etc. I chose roast beef because again, I was originally headed to Arby's! A nice touch -- and I don't know if it's just this location -- is the soft serve machine with cones, cups, chocolate syrup -- and a great price-point: free!! After a shopping trip in Gulf Coast Town Center, we swing by Jason's Deli at Alico Road to have a quick bite. We've been to Jason's Deli by Reflections Pkwy and US 41 for many years. This is the first time for us at the Gulf Coast Town Center location. One major difference is that this location has a Drive Thru! Plenty of parking space available. The décor here is modest and casual with wall art work reflecting their history and wildlife. Several photos were featuring eagles! We were thinking about going a full salad bar but ordered a Pastrami Rueben and a lighter Corned Beef Sandwich. No salad bar today! My Pastrami Rueben on Rye was perfectly prepared with 1/2 pound of meat, Swiss, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. The lighter corned beef sandwich was fine as well. The food came out fairly quickly and we love the iced tea options, with sweetened, unsweetened, Black Currant, etc. Of course, save the best last, the soft serve ice cream on cup or cone, as much as you want! We love going here every time we are in Fort Myers. Fast delicious food that always falls you up. And a free ice cream at the end! You can't go wrong with this restaurant. I always get a loaded baked potato from here and some of the salad bar. Absolutely delicious. The quick service also makes it an easy place to visit when you are both in a rush or not. To start out, the sweet tea had no flavor whatsoever and then things got worse when we got our food. My grandson commented when we got our food that they must have gotten to the bottom of the bag on the chips. When I went to ask for more chips, one of the workers said "there's nothing wrong with the chips." Really! Then by the time I got to eating my sandwich I realized they gave me the wrong sandwich. We have been here numerous times. And they are consistent! Great sandwiches, overloaded with meat, and a GREAT salad bar! This is one of my FAVORITE places in Ft. Myers to have lunch. I often order the half sandwich with the salad bar, and it is more than enough to eat! All of the sandwiches are good, but there are two that are tied for my favorites! They are, the New York Yankee (a HUGE Pastrami sandwich, and their Ruben Sandwich! I always have trouble deciding which one I want! If I could give zero stars I would. Stood to oder for a long time. Once we orders we waited 20 for grilled cheese and soups. The cheese was not even melted. My son was so hungry he didn't care. I got the salad bar. Problem was Salad bar had no salad. I noticed it was low when I walked in and mentioned it to the lady when I orders the salad bar. There was also no bread with the salad bar. She said they were working on it and was not pleasant. I waited another 10 minutes after I sat down before going back to the cashier and asking about it. The response was "I understand." A few minutes later the second lady that I told filled the salad and only the salad. No muffins, bread, crotons. She said it was because of a big party that had come in. That would have been fine had I not told the cashier that it was empty when I order. As we were getting ready to leave approximately 45 minutes later another person comes out and fills up the muffins. I got one to see if perhaps they were warm, fresh from the oven. Nope. I could have overlooked that they have taken so many fresh items off of their salad bar had there been the basics that you expect. I come here through drive through and somehow when I eat inside the managers recognize me and make me feel like family. I don't like salad bars but this one is really fresh. First let me start with the food here is always amazing. No complaints about that. What I have an issue with is the fact that you used to be able to buy a one trip salad bar or multi-trip salad bar for a little more money. It's been a couple of months since we've been in and we were surprised to learn that it's now only one trip salad bar for one price. I asked when that started and the girl at the register told me it's always been that way. That's just not true. They used to have signs all around stating that you must wear gloves and get a clean plate for each trip. I again asked the two at the end of the pick up line if this is new and when had it started. They both told me it's been like this since Covid. That's just not true! I've been to several locations (including this one) since and during Covid and it was always an option for a multi trip salad bar. After leaving the restaurant I called the manager to ask about this new change and I was again told it's been since Covid. I'm totally ok with a policy change. Inflation is real and I get that. If it had just been explained to me that they made a change I'd have accepted this and went on with my day. I love Jason's Deli! Similar to Panera, but 10x better! They have many vegetarian options as well as a nice salad bar. They make an effort to use organic ingredients where it makes sense to which I definitely appreciate! This location has a drive thru and delivery as well as free ice cream! Everything I've had here has been delicious! Brand new location on Alico Road in what is quickly becoming a hot spot for tourism with all the new hotels, restos and bars. This area is crazy busy with plenty of options for food, and happy to see the Deli here as it is a favorite of mine. As of this writing, the store has been open barely a month, is spacious with plenty of tables, booths and banket style seating. Modest and casual decor, warm two tone colors with artwork reflecting not only the 40 year history of the business, but the indigenous wildlife, too. Plenty of staff on hand to keep tables turning over, checking on customers and running diners their orders. Ordering at the counter was a pleasure as the young lady, a student at Dunk City down the road, made sure my order was perfect considering the GF request. It is nice to see Jason's Deli has always asked if it is a preference or a serious allergen concern, and makes sure to label the orders with appropriate warnings (see my pic). My roast beef sandwich on GF toast was perfect, and held up well even when I dunked it into the vegetarian French onion soup. Why not put it to the test, right? Food not only came out quickly and precisely to order, but was devoured in even less time. Very pleased all around, not to mention the three iced tea options (black currant...yum!) and self serve ice cream, cone or cup, as much as you want. Located across from the Gulf Coast Mall, near the Twin Peaks bar, this Jason's Deli is fairly new. It's been awhile since I've been as the one closest to me (Carrollwood) has sadly shut down. Lots of good changes! They have more vegetarian options and every option has calorie count, including everything at the salad bar. They use no Msg and eliminated all artificial ingredients. The salad bar is fresh and cleanest one I've seen. I love the artichokes and fresh peppers! They also have desserts at the salad bar but I was short on time. I ordered the half Mediterranean wrap with salad bar. They now have lobster bisque soup that looks amazing. Lots of choices and feel free to customize as everything is freshly made.
