We generally like Perkins. The one by our house closed so we went to Ft Myers. The waitress and food were fine. But the ceiling was covered with brown stains that was very likely mold. It even smelled. I believe it is a health hazard and needs to be repaired. I would not suggest anyone eat here until this is corrected. read more

Went there today for lunch around 1:15. Service was horrible. Waited to be seated, then when seated were asked for our drink order. Gave it to the girl, took 15 minutes and the best server there, Annette came and said you haven't got your drink order yet. She was going home but she went and got someone to deliver our drinks. Then no-one ever showed up to take our order. They sat a lady and her mom and 2 children across from us and the lady proceeded to pain her little girls nails in the restaurant on the table. Disgusting!! So I asked for the bill again took forever to get so we got up walked to the check out and the lady there was like, how was everything. When I told her we waited for 40 minutes and no one took our order, she did comp us our drinks but we left anyway. Not sure what is going on there but the service with Annette and the other people normally there was much better. Not sure when or if we will return. Very disappointed. This practice is designed to jack up the tip for the server. I think its scammy, and makes me distrust the place. If the service is good, I will tip accordingly. We came in in high spirits for a good breakfast among friends before going off to our classes of the day, once we came in we had noticed our server had a snarky attitude. Then once the food was out us four had noticed left over food on our 'clean' silverware,so we asked for a hit glass of hot water, our sever had givennit to us but was snarky an seemingly rude to us but not the table next to us. So we finally tried the "famous" Perkins. It was okay, maybe a bit underwhelming. I got pancakes and coffee. My wife ordered salmon, rice and tater tops. We were happily surprised that they served the salmon at such an early time-- around 11:00 AM. However, the salmon and rice were not really very good. The salmon was undercooked and under-seasoned, so it really wasn't very appetizing. Rice was bland too. On the other hand, my wife gave me most of her tater tots (there were a lot) and with my pancakes, it was a pretty good meal! So I was satisfied, and would probably return, but my wife basically said "never again." Prices were reasonable. (salmon platter was $16.99, 3 pancakes were $8.99, coffee was $3.99. With a modest tip, total was $39.) Perkins has lots of "specials" but they all come with some kind of meat, so non-meat eaters are out of luck on saving any money. Service was very good. Our server Annette was a ball of energy. The restaurant is big and clean. It seems like there's a lot of bustle, but it's actually calm and comfortable. I'd probably go back, but my wife won't. Poor customer service will always ruin an experience. I ordered late at night and there was only one table of patron. Yet, once I got home with my to go order, I realize that one of my sides were missing. They only filled up a cup of a drink halfway, and most of it was ice. The turkey was beyond dry and obviously reheated, and the food overall was just gross. Will I order again? No. Not even because of the taste of the food, but the lack of accountability. I called in, and the manager told me there was nothing missing except the side that I forgot... (so there was something missing!) the reason why my cup was only filled halfway, was because they ran out of cups in the size that I ordered. To me, if you were running a business and you make the mistake of not keeping up with your inventory, your customer should not have to bear the negative affects of it. When I called in, the manager offered me a 10% discount off of my NEXT meal. What about the meal that I already paid for now? I definitely will not be coming back. Just YUCK read more

This is the most disgusting place ever. Sat at a booth this evening by the counter area and heard people from the back room (the kitchen area), cursing and yelling. The booth had syrup all over the table and there were food particles under my seat. My soup was cold and my tea was so sweet, that I had to send it back to get unsweetened tea.
