I previously ate here 2 years ago and had a great experience. We went on Sunday, Feb 22,2026 and it did not disappoint. My son enjoyed his bowl and I loved my waffles, eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee. Kandi was our Server and was attentive and asked if we needed anything. (Read Review from two years ago below. Kandi was our server too. Management needs to give her raise and promotion!). My order was $22.50 but I gave her a $10 tip. It was crowded when we entered and she also helping others to stock up and prepare utensils and napkins in addition to customers. I always believe in tipping and especially to let others they are doing a great job. Yes, I know this is a lot more than 15% (it was 44.44%), but I felt like helping her own. The food is top- notch and very fresh. Served hot. Delicious. I had the full deal - eggs, grits, bacon, biscuit, coffee. Couldn't be happier. Service is the fastest ever experienced. 3 min 30 seconds from order to plate on the table. Food was hot and plentiful. Husband had the two egg breakfast. I had the breakfast bowl and grits no matter what station you sit in the service is always fast gets busy in there between 10 a and noon. We were in that day about 1230. read more

Let me tell you about my recent visit to Waffle House #1924 on Bert Kouns. The last time I came to #1924, I left a 50% tip. But now, I will never spend another penny there because of the complete failure of Management. She put a sign on the door, a very rudely worded sign, that customers are not to sit at dirty tables. So I was standing right in front of the register waiting 15 minutes for a table to be cleaned. A family of 4 came in after me and waited for a table to be cleaned. A couple came in after them and sat at a dirty table. That couple was served before I or the family of 4. When I called the number on the door to complain, there was a prerecorded message and a hangup, with no opportunity to leave a message expressing my concerns. So I went back to express my concerns directly to the manager and she was extremely rude to me and didn't even take the time to fully hear and understand my issue. Quick review. This place deserves more stars! They were super friendly and attentive when we walked in. Our server got right to us and was very friendly. Food came out in minutes. I'm trying to figure out why myself (a vet) and another elderly man was denied seating despite showing up before 2 other groups on veterans day? Is this not a first come first serve restaurant or can you make reservations? Why do you prioritize by the amount of people? That is extremely rude and not to mention disrespectful. This Waffle House location was awesome when it first opened but I'm sorry to say the service is RIDICULOUS now. I was just there and it took 5-6 min for the the waiter to even come to the table, no acknowledgment while we waited or nothing. It was only one other gentlemen in the restaurant when I showed up and he had already ordered. When she did come to the table the only thing she said was " Y'all ready to order?" Me and a buddy of mine decided to dine here around afternoon. We were meet with contempt! Our waitress slung our menu at us and did not even greet us. One of the patronage's near us made a remark in relation to the property value. We just felt very uncomfortable like we were not at all welcomed nor wanted there. The Wife and I usually go in between my Drs appnt, just recently we went sat a dirty booth, the waitress made eye contact with us everytime she would wait on the booth next to us, not once! in many trips to the other booth did she acknowledge we were even there! Horrible. My son stopped and bought me a to-go breakfast. I had ordered a breakfast plate consisting of: 2 scrambled eggs, with hash browns and bacon; extra side of grits. The breakfast comes with grits or hash browns, so my only extras were grits and bacon. This cost me $11.81!!!!!! When my son got home with the breakfast, instead of scrambled I got fried eggs that the cook had chopped up! I can only assume he made a mistake and didn't want to start over on the eggs! The food was inedible. The has browns were half raw, the bacon was burned, and the grits were under cooked. I threw it in the garbage. Called 'Jack,' the manager and he was rude and unwilling to do anything about it. Wanted me to go dig it out of the garbage and bring it back. Why? They didn't even give us a receipt. Normally this one is pretty decent to eat at. But recently we've had terrible service! Sat there for 15 mintues without anyone even saying hi much less providing drinks. One waitress flat out made her order for one of the two families, laid out plates and then just sat there waiting for the grill cook to cook the meals. My family ended up just leaving and went to the one on Mansfield. We ran into 2 other families who had the exact experience. Come on Shreveport, we can do better. read more

I felt this place was on point with their food, but if they work on cleaning there facilities more but other than that it's pretty damn good

By far one of my favorite places to eat. The service is good very friendly. The food is delicious. Deserves 5 stars definitely.

This place was so filthy I cancelled my order when I saw raw sausage on the floor. The cook dropped raw bacon and kept stepping in it and never picked it up. I was waiting on someone and for 45 minutes it was not picked up and was still there when I left. Trash was on the floor and under the back counter was filthy and had not been cleaned in a while.
