One of the best liquor shops in LA because they have so many top shelf items, large selection, & it's reasonably priced. I'm glad this is so local to me, even if it wasn't I would come back here because THEY HAVE EVERYTHING... from wine to beers. To all sorts of specialty liquor as well(: Pro Tip: Browse the Harry Potter wall of liquor and KNOW what you want BEFORE you get in line!(: Guys are pretty friendly and prompt with service here I'm not sure why some people had issues? I usually do browse what I want BEFORE getting in line to not hold anyone up as the lines can get REALLY LONG during the end of the week at night. So maybe that's why some people had issues? UPDATE: I am updating my rating to 3 stars purely based on how management handled my situation. Shortly after my initial negative experience, Amar reached out to me directly. He was highly professional, apologized for the unacceptable service, assured me he had spoken to the staff so it wouldn't happen again, and went out of his way to completely cover the cost of my order. It takes a lot for a business to own their mistakes and make it right, and I really appreciate that ownership actually cares about their customers. ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE: Do not order delivery directly from their website. I originally placed an order online for a couple beers and two bottles of liquor, and despite living only 2.8 miles away, I was called by an employee named Angelo who told me it would take 4 hours to deliver. When I expressed frustration, he offered zero compensation or alternative solutions. He claimed there was "no manager" to speak to, and told me to just go use DoorDash or Grubhub instead because nobody wanted to drive a moped less than 3 miles. It is incredibly frustrating when a business takes your money for an advertised service, refuses to fulfill it, and then tells you to go pay extra fees on a third-party app. Overall, I'm giving 3 stars because Amar's excellent response and accountability balanced out Angelo's initial terrible service. read more

Was looking for a particular Kentucky bourbon that the two major alcohol peddlers didn't have in stock. Well, Jason's had it, along with some other hard-to-find spirits. The store isn't by any means a large warehouse. It's just one floor and all the expensive stuff is behind the counter. Easy in and out transaction. Prices are pretty reasonable compared to the other outlets. My only complaint is the parking. This is, after all, downtown LA. There's metered parking out front, but good luck with that. There's an adjacent paid public spot if you're planning on staying for a bit. Other than that, you're better off coming on a Sunday as all the street meters are turned off. Also, I think this is more of a buy online and pick up establishment. So most people will do their research before they come in. I wish I could give this place a 0 never have I been to a store where the customer service is so poor not even Walmart! The older Hispanic short man with sleeve tattoos "helped" me after paying for all my stuff he preceded to tell me there where no bags the way he handed me the order I attempted to lift it and instantly a Gatorade bottle fell and broke I apologized and obviously felt embarrassed he looked at me dirty and went to get the mop and told me now I'm making him clean my mess and said he would not replace the Gatorade because it was my problem. I was still inside his store and explained to him that I dropped it inside his store because of how he handed me the objects he said not my problem mind you it cost about 50 cents I wouldn't have had a problem paying again but the way he treated the customer really rubbed me the wrong way and I explained to him I'm inside your store as a common courtesy you could have replaced he kept saying now I have to clean and it was your fault I understand that but it was an ACCIDENT that occurred inside your store it was not a $500 bottle it was a simple Gatorade sir no customer service to pitty no common decency I've accidentally dropped more expensive items at other stores before and immediately the person working asks if I'm ok not this man he acted like that was his the last Gatorade on earth. I shop at Jason's often because I throw events throughout the DTLA area but Unfortunately today I had a bad experience. I came in for a bottle of Prosecco rose as I often do to celebrate a new accomplishment. I visited the champagne area and found two prosecco rose' in the freezers listed for 15.99 and 16.99. I went to the the woman at the register (Gaby) to let her know I would like either the copolla or another rose' located at the bottom and specified that I would like the cheaper of the two. She pointed at the other sales person (Chris) and instructed me that he would assist me. Chris met me back at the freezers and I asked him if the price listed on the prosecco rose' at the bottom was the price for that brand because tha labeling wasn't specified. He confidently examined the bottle and the label and said yet to the 15.99 price tag. I took my items to the counter: my prosecco rose', a soda and asked for a cheap bottle of tequila from behind the counter. I had my dog with me and another woman walked in with her dog so he started acting up. Gaby gave me the total. I was focused on calming my dog and paid the price but as soon as I stepped out I thought about how the price didn't make sense. I cane back in and asked for a receipt because the price didn't align with what I thought I paid for. The receipt read that my prosecco cost 26.99. I told her I specified with Chris before making ny selection specifically for the price. She explained that there were no returns and all items were final sale. Although I understand policy it was the information I was provided from their service that led me to make the discrepancy in price. I asked for the manager but he was not present. Chris wouldn't even make eye contact with me as I asked him to confirm that he was the one who confirmed the price. There are no totals on the screen at purchase so for anyone visiting Jason's please make sure to do the math in your head so that you do not get ripped of because customer service is not the forat priority here unfortunately. read more

Jason's is a pretty cool Wine & Spirits shop with some essential local convenience store charm to boot. It reminds me of the small chain Mission Wine & Spirits only with more of a neighborhood vibe and feel. The had a lot of wine and spirits to choose from and a lot soon to be refilled and stocked... This place definitely gets shopped hard. The prices are definitely some of the best for DTLA with maybe a dollar or two difference depending on the brewery, distillery or winery. They carry some classic snacks and non-alcoholic favs as well (vitamin water, cookies, instant noodles, etc.) It was pretty cool to see they even have a few vegan friendly treats including jerky as well. The guy who helped me on the floor and rang me up was super cool, helpful and hilarious. I came here on recommendation from a friend and I'm really glad I stopped by. I got a nice bottle of Cline Cellars Pinot Grigio for dinner tonight. Will definitely stop by here again next time I'm in the area and grab more. I don't live close by at all, but am occasional nearby when visiting the person I'm seeing in K-town. Quality over quantity is always a plus in my book. read more

All that I wanted & more. The boy got the beer he wanted (lagunitas), & I was pleasantly surprised to see multiple brands of sake. I chose Yaegaki Sake Junmai so I could use the bottle as a vase for later. They have plenty of soda & non-alcoholic drinks. I kind of always end up here. When I come to downtown I see the bright lights of the store & this is probably my 4th or 5th time strolling in. Service is great. Plenty of vino up & down the aisles. I can't vouch for their delivery service as I've never had something delivered- but I'm sure it's great so I gave 5 stars anyway. Highly recommend, will be back when I'm in the area read more

You need a place that has a great assortment of quality booze and not just the stuff for the masses. Sketchy spot. Preface I have been here before without any problems multiple times and it has been great. I buy the same thing every time I go. Last time I went though, the total for a few items (same that I always get) was exponentially higher. I asked the gentleman working why. He said something about supply chain issues. How they had raised the price because the distributor had raised the price. Heres the thing, anyone else he might have gotten away with that. But I literally up until 3 months ago WORKED FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR that sells that specific item. I know how much it costs. Exactly down to the penny. I also know price changes on items are a state wide or national change through the brewery and distributor for things like that. He mentioned that the price would go back down (the item in question is a 6 pack of beer) next week. Thats not how that works and he was so quick to tell me this the moment I questioned the price. I went back to my car and immediately started trying to find logic in his overcharge with my calculator. I knew I had been ripped off but trying to avoid any sort of confrontation was trying to have it make sense. Just then he rushes out and knocks on my window. Saying an item accidentally ran twice. He insists I take another beer. I tell him I would just like the overcharge difference instead. He immediately without doing any register work or math just hands me a $10 bill. And apologizes. Even with the $10 back the math doesn't make a whole Lot of sense for how much I was charged. 1 six pack of beer which is normally $13/$14 (adding an extra dollar here for benefit of a doubt) after tax, two teas $1/2 each and a water bottle ($2 max) and a pocket size pistachio bag (couldn't have been more than $4 but ill count it for $5 and thats being generous). Was somehow $38. With the $10 bill back still $28 for this seems rich. Jarring experience. Especially after coming here so many times with zero problems. No receipt, no real sense of rules. A lot of this seemed to be him makings stuff up on the spot. Most likely wont come here again after this. read more

They have a pretty good selection of some hard liquors that are hard to find. A friend of mine who is a Japanese whiskey collector took us here during his hunt. My friend knew what he wanted and luckily was able to see the inventory online so we were in and out pretty fast. The prices were a bit high but then again, I don't buy alcohol especially high end alcohol often. The place was a bit hard to find since its in a business building and we had to street park it, hmm not legally. Luckily I saw they do deliver to DTLA which is cool for those nearby. read more
