It's a small, quaint bar with a great happy hour as the marketing hook for the rest of the store. There are wines and beers (no spirits) available at the bar. There appears to be collectable spirits for sale in the liquor store. I say "appears" because my knowledge (outside of bourbons) is limited. The bourbons inventony (liquor store, behind the glass case) included Blantons, Elmer T. Lee, and several expressions of Weller, Maker's Mark, and Angels Envy. I read the reviews for Noe Restaurant and Bar and determined the Noe could be a good choice for a meal, but Gourmet Wina & Spirits would be a better place for a drink (or two). I was right. The beer price was phenomenal, $3 for a 12-ounce draft Stella Artois. It was the freshest-tasting pour ever. The owner, Tony, explained that they go through two to three kegs per day. read more

Came here to buy a bag of chips. The entire bag was completely stale. Come to find out, when I inspected the bag there was a slash at the bottom of the bag that was taped up! My first thought was that they cut open the box of chips with a box cutter and accidentally slashed the bag open. They really taped up the bag and put it on the shelf to sell? Isn't that illegal? I know Mike and Tony really well they're awesome guys but today I experienced something out of the ordinary and I was kind of gaslit about it which made me a little frustrated because they're your local bar watering hole with a special of three dollar draft tell us which is amazing best in the city but today I ordered three stella's and on my third stella my Chihuahua spilt 3/4 of what I had left which was very much not very much. That was my third beer. I did go get some potato chips, some pretzels and some wafers and at the end I walked out with the honey bun, but then Mike or Tone I can't remember which one the one with the beard charged me for five beers and then he tried to act as if I was drunk in the one that miscounted cause I walked up to him and I said I had three beers you said you had five beers then when you said five, I was really surprised because I didn't have five beers if he would've said four I would've understood but and then I said no I had four beers because my dog split a third one and then he said oh well you said three and I said five so now it's Four so at that point I felt very gaslit and there was just an incident before with a gentleman that returned a small packet of aspirin that was two dollars that we are to make fun of it and I told him yo I'm not gonna be that guy, but I pointed at him and I said up to coming here for 11 years and again, I feel very gaslit and uncomfortable to a place that I've been there for years. It's been a while since I've been there and it might be a while since I go back. They're very friendly inconvenient, but just keep an eye out. read more

Given the dearth of liquor stores in DTLA, this one is good to know about ...took me a while to figure out where it is lol...have to go down into a subterrean food court type area under the Omni Hotel and museums - way in the back - they have lots of stuff and some salami/cheese snacks I get as well. Tucked away in a subground food court next to the Omni Hotel is the Gourmet Wine and Spirits. I was visiting the Broad and needed to kill some time before I could visit the Inifitity Room Exhibit. I came across this gem. They sell all the liquor you can imagine and the best part is that you can uncork it and enjoy it inside at their bar or on their patio with a tv. The owner was very nice and accommodating to our group. Best part is the $3 Stella drafts all day everyday. The draft was ice cold which was a huge plus. those guys look like two Persian brothers are the most greedy and discussing attitude humans I met lately. And i'm not a typical 1 star reviewer but this place stinks like the owners. it was around lunch time and every place was busy here at the food court but this place was empty with one of the Persian guys eating lunch while being jealous about other once arround making money. it was TV hanging outside his patio and I asked if that's ok to seat on one of his "empty" chairs and watch a bit while i'm waiting for someone. He replied with full mouth of food chowing- "what you gonna order"? I do understand that he's desperate to sell something with Mendocino Farms and other good fast food around here but that was so wrong and miserable. Amazing service. I needed to send a case to a client and called around trying to find the exact brand of champagne our attorney wanted to send. No one had it except them, I needed 12 bottles and they only had 10 in stock, was able to pay over the phone AND have it delivered to my office, which made locating the other 2 bottles less of a process. The two usual servers are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. $3 draft Stella's on Friday and give you a chalice if you get 3.
