Better than expected. Having travelled frequently, our expectations were set low for dinner in a tourist town. My spouse loves brew pubs so hence this choice for dinner. My spouse had the beer sampler. The beers were cold and all tasted good. Our server was cheerful. All of our entrees were good; turkey club (thin slices roasted turkey not lunch meat :-) ) on naan with nice toppings and sauce, pastrami sandwich on swirled bread and fish and chips. Basic food but done well with nice touches. The sandwiches had a choice of fries or salads. The Caesar (shaved Parmesan and ample croutons) and house salads (greens with shredded carrot, sunflower seeds, grape tomatoes, sliced cucumber and goat cheese) were much nicer than ones served at a typical restaurant. The chocolate soufflé was perfectly cooked but a little small to share. The menu was a bit small with some eclectic options that might not be to everyone's taste. There are some vegan options. Walked in right after the fireworks on Canada day, The establishment was PACKED but service was still very quick. Within the first 5 minutes we already had our drinks and orders placed. A very short time after we received our meals. The poutine and wings were exceptionally delicious considering the overall capacity and for the amount of time the orders hit our tables. If you would like to be treated like dirt and eat sub-standard food, and sit in a dirty, disgusting booth covered in grease while you gaze at the dead flies in the window sill, then wait a REALLY long time to get that food, you should definitely patronize this place. This restaurant is a joke. It is staffed with inexperienced, entitled college girls who have never had a serving job in their life. We waited over an hour for our food, it was terrible, and my husband's dish didn't arrive until we had finished. When we complained, the waitress threw our receipt down and flounced away in a huff. Go here for the beer, pass on the food! We decided to try this after it's appearance on 'You Gotta Eat Here.' We love our craft beer, Jasper Brewing co had hands down the best beer we ever tasted. If it's still in season I'd highly recommend trying the blueberry vanilla beer. I ordered the daily soup with a side house salad which was average. Boyfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger ($17) and when it arrived it was cold. It must have been sitting for quite some time, and I'm doubtful it would have been waiting for my salad/soup. Decided to try this place for our first meal in Jasper. The beer selection was pretty standard for a brew pub, but they were out of the IPA. So I had the pale ale and wife had the stout. One thing that jumped out at me in the beer descriptions was the ABV was only about 4.5% to 5.5%. And the pils was higher than the pale ale! So, the beer arrives and the pale ale isn't. It's more like a pils with very little hop flavor and very light color. It was good, but not a pale ale. The stout was also good, but lacking the mouth feel and alcohol of a stout. For food, my bride had the fish and chips and I the curry bison. The fish and chips was quite good with just the right amount of crispy coating on the fish. The bison was also very good. Tender and tasty with nice curry flavor. The rice, however, was "al dente". After dinner we decided to try the Pilsner to see how it differed from the Pale Ale. Surprise! It was a Belgian Wit! It was cloudy and had the requisite citrusy taste. I'm not sure how you get a Pilsner to be cloudy. Did they make it with wheat? I would say the beers were interesting, but not what you might expect. The food was good. Three stars for not knowing their beer styles or confusing the taps. read more

Friendly service with about the quickest response time. Decent atmosphere, with knowledgable staff. Great beer selections to choose from. The food is above average, with hearty dishes to choose from. Came back twice for dinner as it was so good and also visited the Banff restaurant. Standard pub grub I guess but super tasty. Over our two visits we had the burger with cheese, albacore tuna sandwich and nachos. Burger was just great, good size, juicy and tasty. Tuna sandwich was surprisingly moist and strong with taste. Nachos were huge and we couldn't finish them. Good service, staff are the same at both sites: quick to come over to ask about drinks, return with card machine when you ask for bill. We had dinner here twice while in Jasper. Both times the food was excellent, great beer too. The prices are a little high but the portion sizes are pretty large, so not a bad value. We came to Jasper and were told to go to the Brewery. Had an awesome meal and the waitress was very nice. Had huge portion amounts which filled me right up. Had awesome service and a great experience. They have gluten free items on their menu and it is very good. Had their bacon cheddar burger with gluten free bun and it was very good and filling.
