My friends and I had a fabulous dinner here when we were in Jasper! We had a huge group of 20 which included kids and the staff was so kind and patient with us. The pizza had a crisp crust and garnered smiles all around our table! We also tried the wings and Prosciutto Wrapped Mozza Balls~ Dem balls was delicious! Highly recommended. The beer was cold with some craft options which made this beer chick happy. Famoso Neapolitan Pizza is a fabulous option for more casual eats when in Jasper!

Tomato bisque with garlic bread - 12 CAD

The food was amazing. Me and my family ordered tomato bisque, spaghetti and meatballs, the 3 meatball appetizer, famoso salad, cavoletti pizza, and a Caesar salad and tomato bisque combo that is not on the menu. Tomato bisque - light, very good flavor, pairs well with the garlic bread. Spaghetti and meatballs - good flavor, good portion sizes, comes with 3 large meatballs 3 meatball appetizer - good, 4 people shared this and everyone got a bite. Should probably get 5 meatballs if you all want a large bite. Famoso salad - delicious, the larger size is a very fair size, enough to feed one and give others a bite to try Cavoletti pizza - unique but good. Savory and sweet, unique but very good. Caesar salad - described by my family as one of the "top 5 Caesar's salads" they've tried. The service was great, very attentive and nice. There to answers questions about food and proportions. You are allowed to make adjustments to your food at request, like not having feta on your bisque. The ambiance was nice, comfortable, I personally like the music a little quieter than it was but it didn't bother me. Beautiful open windows with natural light being let in is wonderful and they had nice decor!

We decided to come and try this pizza place because of the good reviews - we were not disappointed. We made a takeout order and given a time it would be ready. It was accurate when we got there as everything was ready. Food: Shrimp and arugula pizza - this was an amazing pizza. I love that the pizza appears to be wood fire oven baked. The dough is nice and thin but able to hold the toppings. The shrimp seemed fresh, arugula gives it a nice fresh vegetable kick and the pesto is great! 5/5 We also got 2 different salads - one with chicken and spicy salami and the other was a classic garden salad. Both were super fresh and really good. Salad dressings were good too. 4/5. We also had meatballs. These meatballs were decent sized and were juicy and flavorful. Be warned - the sauce is spicy which was great for us but I could see it as being an unpleasant surprise to some. We loved using the sauce to dip our crusts into. 5/5. Price: Relative to other restaurants in Jasper, this place is great value for what you get re: quality and quantity. Definitely recommend.

The pizza was amazing!!!! Service was friendly and quick. We were greeted as we walked in and provided water right away at our table. We decided to try a new pizza the shaved Brussel sprout and Gorgonzola with walnuts. Really well done! And we ordered a prosciutto arugula. Both were delicious. As an appie we had the prosciutto mozza balls, they were great as well. The whole experience was great! The restaurant was warm and inviting. We had just done a huge hike and it was a chilly evening so this was an inviting warm and cozy place to be.

After a long day of driving and hiking, Famoso ended up hitting the spot. The restaurant is small, but we were able to get a table right away. Our server was very attentive and helpful in our decisions on what to order. I ordered the Pesto wings--suggested by our server--didn't know what to expect, but I love wings and I really love pesto, WHAT A PAIR. They were delicious!! The wings were very juicy and came out fresh and hot. I had them with a side of ranch. To drink I ordered a Berry Sangria--ALSO delicious and flavorful. It was sweet and I could have drank a whole jar of it. We loved this place and will return if we ever find ourselves in Jasper again.

Accidentally just walked in to the best happy hour menu - Whoops! A small flight of stairs opens up to a sneaky long restaurant with a giant brick oven in the back and I immediately smiled! Their Quattro Formaggio as well as their Margarita pizza was delicious! It had a true Neapolitan taste. Their house salad was really good- great dressing and toppings. The drink specials were hard to beat. Our food came out quick and we had a very kind server. The place ended up getting full at 3pm- it's a good sign that the food is top notch.

Amazing pizza spot in Jasper. This restaurant has friendly and patient staff. A great place for small and large groups and a wide selection of items on the menu. The inside of this restaurant is modern and welcoming. I also came across an old item, I found on yelp, that was no longer on the menu and the staff offered to replicate it. The staff here go out of their way to assist you. Moreover, the food was delicious with a variety of pizza, salads and desserts. I really wanted to try a little bit of everything. The fine roasted tomato bisque soup was my favourite. Roasted Campania tomato soup topped with Feta. Served with garlic flatbread. It all came together really well. The tiramisu was definitely one of the best I have tasted made in house from a traditional family recipe. If you are looking for a night out or have a celebration with a large group Famoso is definitely it.

Prosciutto Wrapped Mozza Balls (mozzarella cheese balls)

The "Prosciutto Wrapped Mozza Balls" (mozzarella cheese balls) were tasty! The pizza was fine (they forgot the anchovies I'd ordered initially) and the included salad seemed to be light on the salad dressing (maybe that is a thing here, as this wasn't the only place in town where the salad didn't have a notable dressing flavor).

The Whisky Jack Grill Jasper, Alberta Canada July 2026 I…read morewas in Jasper for two days, on a train vacation that got me out of the District for the semi quincentennial. On Amtrak the trip began in Washington, D.C., through Chicago, then Seattle, then Jasper. Amtrak got me to Seattle seamlessly; and VIA Rail Canada got me from Seattle to Jasper, just as painlessly. Really good planning by my Amtrak Vacations representative, Kevin Guadagnoli, who was working through Railbookers. During the time I had in Jasper, I had the chance to breathe, to observe, to inhale, and to enjoy. Jasper provided all of this, and The Whisky Jack Grill was a major part of the benefits of this trip. I was at the Grill in mid-afternoon, and Tereza was there with no wait and a menu, and a helpful attitude. I settled in with no prior knowledge of what the venue had to offer. Great start: the menu included a beef goulash (spicy smoked paprika beef, potato and onion with a fresh oven-baked baguette, $22) that I was sorely tempted to order, and a competitor - beef Stroganoff (served with linguine past, topped with sour cream and pickles, $34). But I was looking for a lighter option and found it with an appetizer: sticky-finger black pepper tofu! Peppercorn, honey-molasses, butter glazed tempura-fried tofu, served with a delicious Asian slaw ($22). That plus a 4 p.m. double gin and tonic ($12) brought the bill for my late lunch to $35.70 plus a $5 CAD tip. Really impressive service, excellent food, and reasonably priced. Conversation friendly, spacious, and relaxing. I doubt I'll have the chance to return to Jasper (I'm 70 and live in D.C. and my traveling days may be numbered) but if the four winds bring me back, I'll save space for The Whisky Jack Grill. (And I don't mean to be a pest, but according to the venue, there is no "e" in Whisky". Just saying, because that's what's on the postcard they left with my tab.)

The beef stroganoff special also looked delicious. Service was friendly, and the views of the mountains from inside the restaurant were beautiful! They also had a great local beer selection. We grabbed the blueberry pie to go, and it came with ice cream, so good. We would definitely come back during a future stay in Jasper!

Tried the: Potato Gratin: 9/10, really grainy but could tell they used a lot of real cheese. Potato was perfectly cooked and I loved that there was lots of sauce. Very pretty presentation. Orange chicken: 8.5/10, chicken as super tasty but just too much ginger for me in the sauce. Rice was very very bland. Spiralized diakon/parsnip was a great light vegetable that Looked like raw onion but thankfully wasn't. Loved it. Drink, The Opener: 10/10. Size appears small but by the end of it I was done with it. Wow taste though. Boyfriend said you can taste the rum but I got more banana and minty. 100% would get again. Got pretty strong by the end but really liked the flavor combo And the color.

The ambiance was nicer than expected given the name, it was comfortable and modern but lacked any charm. The drinks were a highlight, we all enjoyed our cocktails and mocktails. The server was also very attentive and communicative. The only item we really enjoyed was the goat cheese poutine. That was delicious. The entrees were boring. Two of my party got the blackened salmon special with rice, vegetables and curry aioli. They expected a flavorful experience but got white rice, steamed vegetables and barely seasoned salmon with a small side of flavored mayo. It was cooked well but just not very tasty.
