After brunch, we decided to grab a coffee and ended up at this cool little spot. We were able to find parking rather quickly, right across the street, which was a win! The vibe here is super chill and perfect for studying or just catching up. We were greeted and helped right away, which I always appreciate. We both ordered the hot crème brûlée coffee with oat milk. It was smooth, perfect temp, and not too sweet. There's also a downstairs area where you can sit, study, or just sip your coffee in peace. Wow! Java Burrito has literally everything you need in one beautiful location. It serves high quality, fresh mexican food. From bowls to tacos to quesadilla to breakfast burritos, you got it. Their queso may be the best I've ever had. Their pastries are to die for too. I had a few crossings and a blueberry sweet corn poptart and they all exceeded my expectations. Which are very high! They have a full bar/coffee bar and we def sipped on Mexican mochas AND margs while also having tacos and bowls. It was epic. Literally a dream come true. In addition to the cutest space and food/bev combo of my dreams, they also had adorable merch. Hats, shirts, bags and more! The staff there was amazing! I feel like I've been living under a rock because how is it that I'm just trying Java Burrito Company. I'm local, I SWEAR! I had an appointment in the area and I committed to having lunch at a new spot. I saw they had burrito bowls and I was like, you know what, YEAH! So I walked to the location and was surprised by how vast this restaurant is. As a newb, I entered through the coffee bar but I appreciate the signs telling you the food is down the corner :) There were about 5 individuals in line and several seated. I knew it had to be a gem. I love the fact that they support local vendors for their restaurant. You can 100% taste the quality difference. I ordered chicken bowl for $12. I love the toppings and the vinaigrette that's easily accessible. They also offer potatoes in your bowl! I will have to go back and try that option. The employees were super nice, although busy. A breakfast burrito hates to see me coming! We were headed out of town after a long weekend in Savannah when I stumbled upon this place and we obviously had no other option but to go in. It is a Chipotle style ordering process where they build your burrito or bowl right in front of you. There are a TON of burrito toppings and they really pile it high. I went with egg and chicken, potatoes, queso of course, black beans, fajita veggies, pico de gallo, more cheese and salsa verde. They have several hot sauces to dribble on each bite and let me just tell you, I DOVE into that burrito. It was incredible. You absolutely have to mark this spot for your next visit to Savannah. My partner and I stopped by Java Burrito Company in the afternoon to beat the summer heat, and we were pleasantly surprised at the drinks and food offered! I opted for an iced matcha latte and my partner got an iced crème brûlée latte and a muffin (warmed up). My matcha latte was nice and refreshing, but I also had a sip of the crème brûlée latte, and wow! It was sweet, creamy, and had a wonderful coffee taste. The muffin was incredible, too, absolutely melted in my mouth and super rich in butter and whatever magic put in there. While we didn't get burritos this time around, we'll be sure to return some day to try them out! read more

I recently stopped in for a quick bite after attending an event nearby and was super excited to try a bowl for the first time. I had ordered food via a delivery service in the past and it was really good, so I knew dining in would be so much better. Unfortunately, it was just ok this time around. I stopped in 2 hours before closing and I noticed napkins/food under tables and plates left about for an extended period of time. The space was divided into two connected rooms - one that was more of a coffee shop, and the other a casual Mexican restaurant. I ordered a Strawberry Green Tea Refresher on the coffee side, which was amazing. The Strawberry puree flavor was so strong, and it was perfectly refreshing for a hot day. On the food side, I only got one taco. They had a Chipotle-style setup, where you go down the line and select your protein, toppings, salsa, etc. My Braised Beef Taco was tasty and filling, and I really liked the warm corn tortilla. Breakfast at Java Burrito is a decent win for my morning. Here around 8:45 on Saturday and it was pretty empty inside. I went to the back to build my own burrito and ordered my coffee up there (if you are just getting coffee and pastries you can order those up front). I got a veggie burrito with potatoes, veggies and a little black beans with pico de gallo on the side. And a crème brûlée latte. The burrito was just okay. None of their food is seasoned so you'll have to season yourself. But the crème brûlée latte was AMAZING! I'll be back to try more lattes and probably just get a pastry or other item next time. I visited Java Burrito Company for breakfast, one morning while in Savannah. Parking was a tad bit tricky and I ended up parking in the law firm parking lot. DISCLAIMER: Do not park here! I was encountered by an employee at 7am in morning. Although, another customer had parked there freely, I was given a whole speech about how it's a private lot and how I was not supposed to park there, but because it's super early in the morning and I was running in and out, it would be fine. However, if I visited again in the future, it may not be possible. It was a lot, especially because I was visiting and in and out within 5 minutes. So just beware about parking in that area. Once I entered, I was greeted and able to place my order. I wanted just an egg and cheese sandwich, but the only way to order it was by ordering the classic breakfast sandwich, which had bacon. So pretty much there are no modifications and you'll be expected to pay full price with or without certain ingredients. The coffee is fixed in another area, so it was brought out to me a little later than my food. I ordered the crème brûlée latte. Overall, I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and latte. The sandwich was very fulfilling and the latte was refreshing. I would be willing to try it again, but now I know what to expect. read more

During my second visit I ordered Togo and I felt rushed even though it was no one else behind me... I didn't enjoy it as much... It lacked the flavor that I experienced in the first bowl possibly d! Wow.. where do I start. I started my morning with a Java, Creme brulee latte coffee. It was perfectly balanced so I didn't need to add anything. Then.. I came back for lunch.. glad I got here early since there is a line out the door by 12:30pm. Someone gave me the tip to order "the special", chicken and steak almost stewed together it was so tender. It is across the street from Capital Bee Company. There is not a parking lot. But street parking is available and generally is not difficult to find at this end of Broughton. If you can not find parking on Broughton my next suggestion would be on the square behind the restaurant. When walking into Java Burrito Co. you are greeted with the lovely bar space. The wall to your left has their entire drink menu on it. This area is meant for coffee/alcohol. Just to sit and relax with your drink or drinks of choice. If you are looking for a bite to eat continue walking straight through the bar space and you will see a connecting hall. This will bring you to what I'm going to call the dining area. There are multiple tables, and another room with banquet seating too. The menu is directly above the serving area. You choose from tacos, bowl, quesadilla, salad, or burrito for lunch. Then you will choose from a variety of proteins and toppings. They have gluten, diary free, and keto options for anyone who has allergy or dietary concerns. They also serve breakfast. And have many options then too! I got a bowl for lunch with braised beef. It was delicious. The guacamole was yummy! The restaurant itself beautiful. I loved the white everywhere making it feel open. But it has the touches of black and brown. The mural on the wall for the pop of color when you enter is fun! And the menus on the walls are large so it is easy to see and read. The staff greeted us upon entry. They asked us what we felt like and directed us where to go. And answered all the questions we had efficiently. Everyone was friendly. Clean dining and serving area. Fresh, attractive food, and polite staff. We had vegetables and chicken burrito bowls with guacamole topping. Good, but my husband's lacked flavor because he didn't get any sauce. I had the mild green sauce which was tasty. We both liked the salsa options of peach and pineapple. Peach was the best: more flavorful.
