Management, I'm talking to you - the new staff members that have been present during our visits in the past month do not fit the ethos of your business. Service has been sloppy. Your new staff members failed to properly check with the kitchen on allergens and sold us an item that could have put me in the hospital had I not paid closer attention. On top of this, they've completely forgotten items that we have paid for. Now, this isn't the first time this has happened here - but whenever it's happened in the past, staff has always been very apologetic and gone above and beyond to make it right on our next visit. This time? Victim-blaming, and a lackluster recommendation to contact a manager - no apology, no attempt to right the wrong. If I wanted shoddy service and apathetic attitudes, I'd go to a chain. What makes Stork's special is its food, yes, but also its sense of community. And lately? You've been severely underwhelming in this category.

There were probably only 6 small chunks of beef in it - and for the price that really just doesn't cut it. The sauce on it was ok and the actual pasta noodle was good. You would be quite shocked if you googled what Rigatoni Genovese looks like and compare it to what I got. The lack of meat was quite surprising, especially since it was roast beef and not any high end meat like a New York strip or filet mignon. My friend ordered the Lemon Chicken dish and I actually found her dish to be better than mine but she was also ultimately disappointed, saying that it used to be so much better. Chad, our server, was great and did everything with a smile and a polite attitude. Another thing to note was that the place was dead on a Sunday night. Not sure if that is common for them but I found it a bit surprising. The Peruvian place next door had a consistent flow of people going in and out and other restaurants next to them seemed very busy. They also charge you for using a credit card (which I absolutely hate) so maybe take cash if you don't want the extra fee.

So, we took our own snacks and the business allows it. Richard is very knowledgeable and has been running this store for over 2 decades. A senior citizen dedicated to his craft. The wine tasting experience was $25 and there is a courtesy purchase of 1 bottle. But the wines were so amazing, we ended up buying way more. In fact, I returned to the store just a week later to buy more bottles of champagne for a party I was hosting later that week. The area also has a huge free parking lot which is a big deal in Wilton. Poor guy has been having issues with the business phone so he might not always be able to answer the calls but go directly if you are in the area and you will be treated well.
