It is an open-air restaurant located at the "main house" serving a buffet breakfast daily and dinner on selected nights. The buffet breakfast presents nicely and is complimentary. My husband and I found the breakfast options pretty standard (i.e. scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, pancakes, french toast, etc). Most of the hot food were lukewarm at best and just plain ordinary. During breakfast, you have views of the shoreline which are beautiful. During dinner, depending upon where you are seated, you might have a view of the lights in Christiansted on the west side of the Terrace. Speaking of dinner, first of all, I strongly recommend that you make reservations well in advance of your visit to the Buccaneer. I struck out making reservations at the Mermaid, one of the Buccaneer's other on-property dining options, but scored a reservation at the Terrace for dinner on Wednesday night. Mind you, I made my reservations at least a month in advance. My husband had a lobster medallion pasta dinner and I had a ribeye for dinner. Our waitress was very sweet and very pleasant. However, we waited probably close to an hour before our dinner arrived. Our tab came out to over $225 and I had a soda with my dinner while my husband had a glass of wine. Was it worth the price? I'd definitely say no. My ribeye was thin and cooked a little more well than I preferred (i ordered it med-rare). My husband rated his dinner as "just okay." He didn't have much to say otherwise. We ended up cancelling our reservations at the Terrace for Friday night and found a beautiful restaurant off property that offered the MOST MAGNIFICENT atmosphere and the most delicious food that we had eaten in a long time. If you are a foodie, I wouldn't recommend the Terrace. I would definitely do some homework as you can find other options that are definitely worth what paid at the Terrace.

And they had 4 different Turley options. Including one by the glass. Amazing. The food matched everything that preceded it; simply outstanding and captured a sublime balance of island and haute cuisine. The Lazy Lobster crawled mercilessly into our bellies, melded with plush mashed potatoes and perfectly al dente asparagus and a delicate sauce. The Lamb Shank masterpiece, served over gnocchi and the most wonderful au jus, melted over the palate, delivering a resounding umami "whoa" tingle. Both paired beautifully with our wine selections. Dessert was a rum strawberry masterpiece, complimented by one of the best espresso martinis we've ever had, and a generous pour of Angel's Envy bourbon. One of the best meals of our lives, anywhere, and we've been to some of the best restaurants on the planet. For my entree I was torn between many different things, but with the help of staff I decided to go with the bacon wrapped double pork chop. And WOW I'm so happy I did. I always fear with pork chops of a dry, hard to chew meal but this was far from reality. The cut of meat was so juicy and easy to cut and chew. The flavor was fantastic. Cooked to perfection. For dessert I decided to go with a classic vanilla rum cake and it was perfect.
