Super cute little coffee shack! It's in the middle of random office buildings but was a good find if you're looking for a drive thru coffee shop off the 805N. The service was great. The friendly barista customized our fall drinks to be non-dairy and how cool that they make their own syrups and flavors to give it a fresher flavor. Highly recommend!

This is one of my absolute favorite spots! Joy is the sweetest person and so dedicated to making this place the standout spot that it is. I would go out of my way to make it here, not only for the amazing coffee and Açaí Bowl but also the incredible staff! Make sure you stop by!

Joy bringing our favorite drink the caramel macchiato!!

Joy absolutely lives up to her name. My partner and I just discovered this gem and now it's our favorite place. If you haven't tried Java shack you are missing out big time!!

    Protein smoothie

This place is perfect! This is my third day in a row going here with my friends and we've had the protein smoothie, pj&j smoothie, london fog, carmel macchiato, chocolate croissant, acai bowl (and pretty much every thing on the menu we've tried). The service here is so fast and friendly! Definitely check this place out!

Cool little drive-thru place for a quick and delicious cup of whatever perks you up! If you're nearby, it's worth a stop and might become part of your morning routine. Every drink I've had here has been great. I love that it's so fast and the prices are reasonable. Also, be sure to get a loyalty card so you can earn free drinks! Something else that makes this worth the stop is the florist who sets up shop right next door, so you get a fresh beverage and a fresh bouquet in one easy stop!

They need to update their hours so people don't waste their time coming here when they're not actually open.

It really feels like going to a shave ice place in Japan. There are maybe about 8 tables inside that can fit between 2-4 people. There are also a couple of seats by the register. Each table has a unique decoration. Service: There's both a digital and paper menu and then you order up front. Both times, I have waited about 20-30 minutes. It's quite a long wait for 1 shave ice but when you get your order, you can see why it takes that long since they put some detail in it. Food: I believe they change their menu, not sure how often. Both times I ordered from their specials menu and they were so delicious, the ice was soft, and their toppings complemented each other well. One shave ice is enough for 2 people, especially after dinner. Highly recommend Ko-Li for a different kind of sweet treat!

Overall, it is a 4.5 and I would say worth the trip if you were craving shaved ice or shaved snow this is really a spot to go to in San Diego. They only have about four locations on the West Coast and I would say the price is fair. Again the texture is the reason to go and I would say the store is clean and nicely decorated, but the floor is very sticky. One tip that I would give is that you bring your own water bottle because the cups they give are small.

I ordered a large Sunset Beach shave ice.  Ice was incredibly fluffy and soaked up the syrup so it didn't drain to the bottom.  Flavors were passion orange, mango, and guava.  It was fruity and delicious.  My favorite shave ice in town. 2nd visit I tried the Citrus Squeeze which consisted of lime, pink lemonade, and lemon.  Once again I was impressed by how fine and fluffy the ice was.  Lime was a blast of sour lime flavor.  Pink lemonade tasted just like a pink lemonade, and lemon was a mix of sweetness with lots of sour lemon flavor.  Great flavor combination. I discovered you can buy pints of Lappert's Hawaiian ice cream.  I bought 2 pints for $11 each. Kauai Pie consisted of rich creamy kona coffee ice cream with Hawaiian macadamia nuts, shredded and toasted coconut and dark chocolate fudge.  This ice cream was thick, rich and decadent. Vanilla bean was rich and creamy with a bold vanilla bean flavor.  One of my favorite vanilla ice creams. Staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient.  Hope they get more flavors of Lappert's ice cream as Palm Springs is where I usually have to go for Lappert's.

The drinks we ordered tasted pretty funky--for instance, the Coco Mango was surprisingly tart and salty, which was definitely not what we were expecting. We also tried their shaved ice (kakigori). It was just okay; the presentation is nice, but it was incredibly sweet, so keep that in mind if you prefer more balanced or subtle desserts. Overall, it's a cute place with a lot of hype, but the flavors were a bit of a miss for us on this visit. Order ahead if you go, and maybe steer clear of the Coco Mango if you don't like tart/salty flavor profiles!
