I went for the first time Saturday after an architectural tour at the church of Nativity (hidden gem, check my review about it) and wanted to check some stores and grab some coffee. This is a cute little coffee shop with several outdoor seating options. I enjoyed a vanilla iced latte and found it to be well-prepared. The customer service was also very good. I visited on a Saturday morning around 10am and although there was only 1 barista (who was also managing the register), the line kept moving and the wait was minimal. Although there was nothing wrong with this establishment, there wasn't anything that particularly "wow'ed" me. Nevertheless, I'd visit again if in the area. read more

I love this place and how they make their coffees but I'm very confused at the pricing. I've been in a couple times now and everytime I go in and order the same coffee it comes out to be a different price than before. The first time it was like 9.50 second it was 6.50 and third time it was 8.50. It's weird how it's always different and also for a little cute little cafe $8-9.50 for a coffee is a little outrageous. I do modify it with a little pump of extra syrup but I don't adjust the milk or anything. It's basically like double the normal price for adjusting the syrup and I don't feel like that doesn't makes much sense. read more

Got a vanilla latte- it was good. Nothing special, but solid and what I expected. Also got the cinnamon twist croissant- it is to blame for the lack of stars. How can something that consists of ~50% butter be so dry? Not sure if they make them in house or have them brought in from somewhere else but either way- it was bad enough I only ate about half before I gave up and tossed it. read more

Oh my goodness!! What a gem. It was my first time visiting & I had a great experience. I was able to find parking easily, on a Saturday afternoon. It's located next to floral palette flowers and gifts It's a super small shop, but they have outdoor seating, maybe 7 tables? Maybe not the best choice for very large groups, but when I came, no one was having their coffee sitting down, they all did to go! The barista was super sweet & informative. She asked me if I was looking for anything in particular, and let me know that they roast their beans on site! I ordered tim's favorite which was a brownie and toffeenuts on top, a breakfast sausage croissant, and a regular latte. The brownie was amazing!! The breakfast sausage croissant was fluffy and soft and crispy on the outside, but not much meat inside, but lots of dough. The coffee was great as well! They even put a little latte art heart on it. There is outdoor seating & it was so nice sitting there with my pup. both of us are super happy with this place & i would like to come back again if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Small little coffee and pastry shop between CV and RSF area. All the seating is outdoors, the menu offers lots of baked pastries and few savory items. I ordered a latte and their croissant. Latte was alright, but the pastry was cold. When i asked to warm it up and the reply was "we don't have a microwave". Ok.. so you don't have a small toaster oven to heat up a croissant and you pride yourself in baking fresh pastries daily?! How much more pleasant it would be to enjoy warm freshly backed croissant with coffee. I guess not here. Sorry, won't be back read more

A tiny coffee shop with some outside seating only, and inside it's crammed. They make great caramel frappe's that are not too sweet and yet smooth and milky. However, the straws they use are thick, boba-type straws which makes it hard to control the draw; And there is only one size of straws--too short for a large frappe--so you'll have to fish for it with your finger. Be aware that there is no wifi and no public bathroom, so staying there is pretty much not an option. Nevertheless, the frappe's make it worth the visit. read more

This place is great! Friendly service with freshly baked goods every day. My daughter loves the ham and cheese croissant and the frozen yogurt. We discovered this cafe after my daughter started dancing at a studio nearby. I wanted to find a place she could possibly walk to to get something quick and easy. This coffee shop is made for me because theres no long line/crowds, the croissants are fresh and there's so many options to choose from. I got their mocha latte and chocolate croissant. Even with the whipping cream It didn't taste too sweet. Flavor was super balanced and delicious. The only complaint I have is the fact they don't have egg croissants/sandwiches. That would be amazing if they added something like that to their menu. read more

They are still open during Covid. They are taking precautions with masks and gloves for staff. There are dozens of signs taped on the windows and every surface inside that it is very distracting and hard to know what info is relevant . Wish they were a little more with the times and had cold brew options but they did not so I ordered a latte. The latte was alright but I saw them use low-fat milk when i asked for whole and they had no way of warming the croissant I also ordered which was disappointing. read more

After explaining my order multiple times, I waited about 20 min for my tea. I went up to the counter to ask where the coffee was. I live right behind this shopping center and I cannot say enough good things about this coffee shop. The fresh baked pastries are to die for... and the coffee is amazing. My personal favorite are their cappuccinos and iced coffee because it comes with an espresso shot. Everyone in my family loves this place. I was surprised to read that someone had been charged for ice and a straw... I went today, ordered an iced drink, and was not charged for the ice or the straw. Anyways, it's a really small place but they have a big menu! They have everything from frozen yogurt to coffee to Italian sodas. No indoor seating (it's a really small place) but if you're just looking to get a drink and go it isn't really an issue. read more

A coffee shop with no WiFi is just not practical. What am i gonna go do there, read a book? Also they have a ton of different types of croissants and their selection seems good, so I got a savory cheese and spinach one, but then they had no oven or toaster or anything to warm it up. So I ate my cold croissant in silence while staring at the parking lot, while googling the nearest 21st century cafe. the bros working the counter were not unfriendly, but not the most customer service forward. Came here during the farmers market on a Sunday afternoon to grab a latte, and wasn't expecting much... But it was surprisingly disappointing! I had a nonfat iced mocha, and my sister had a nonfat iced vanilla latte. The service was perfectly fine, drinks were made right in front of us - and fast, but they didn't taste like anything special. In fact - the mocha was quite unflavorful... Could hardly even taste the espresso! I wouldn't have minded if there wasn't much of a chocolate taste to the drink, but there was hardly enough espresso! I would probably give it another chance because maybe it was a fluke, plus it's such a cute little place! read more

A disaster of a coffee house. The plan (theory): Get a chai latte and a decaf latte and enjoy them in a relaxing environment. The results (reality): An amazingly disappointing experience. The young "barista" is apparently unable to handle anything more complicated than "press a button on the espresso machine". We asked for a decaf latte that was not as hot as normal. Closer to room temperature. After much puzzled looks, the latte was started. What was received was an espresso with a lot of cold milk dumped into it, resulting in an unappetizing cold latte. After some arguing and some explicit instructions (don't heat the milk as hot), it was remade. What was received was better, but still on the tepid side. The "barista" told us that the chai is premade and basically reheated. The taste verified this. Who actually goes here? Another place that deserves zero stars, for both the product and the service. Save your time, nerves and taste buds and stay in Del Mar for your caffeine fix. read more

This location is good but I'd rather go to the original location due to service (some of the girls wear there shirts/shorts to low/shorts where everything is hanging out) they try to have it hang out for tips when they give you, your change. My family has been a regular at Cafe Postiano for years. I love the food, drink and service at both locations. I go out of my way to support the locations and its' owner. It is my go to place for coffee three to four times a week. Today I noticed the prices were raised which is totally understandable. I ordered an iced mocha and was ready to pay the new price only to be told I had to pay not the price advertised but an extra 25 cents for five cubes of ice. Ridiculous!!!! What's next . . . I pay for my drink and then I am told the straw is not included and if I want one, it is 10 cents more. A word of advice . . . Set your prices to cover the cost plus profit, don't add on silly "ice" surcharges. read more

Small place but the only coffee shop in that area. No seating inside and it sometimes can get a bit crammed in there in the mornings. Workers are a bit unprofessional but have always been nice and pretty quick. Menu has a big selection but I think it is way over priced, especially for the iced drinks since they put almost double they amount of ice cubes in them as Starbucks. They do have delicious muffins (my favorite being the pumpkin spice) and a wide variety of different kinds of croissants. Sometimes when I come in after 11 though they have run out of all muffins/ pasteries. In the front case they have "Ki's" sandwiches, salads and snack boxes which aren't anything special at all, something you could make at home with no culinary experience but convenient if in the area/ in a hurry. I tried the oatmeal once and it was basically just flavorless plain oats and I definitely won't be purchasing it again. I have also had the frozen yogurt which isn't bad and will satisfy a sweet toothe but a waste of money compared to something like yogurt land and not my dessert of choice. I once got a hammer head iced coffee but it wayy too acidic and bitter, so now I just stick to there iced coffee with almond milk and lattes which are good. I used to be a big iced tea drinker and unfortunately they don't have brewed/ shaken iced tea only hot tea with tea bags but over ice which wasn't appealing. They do have a big selection of different teas though but I will only be purchasing them hot in the future. When looking for a sugar fix they have a frappe type drink which is deliciously sweet when made right but with some workers it comes out too watery/ icey. They do carry a delicious brand of kombucha that is hard to find in a lot of places. This really is a quick stop "if your in the area" kind of place with things like store bought generic granola bars and fruit bowl in the front. read more
