I went for the first time Saturday after an architectural tour at the church of Nativity (hidden gem, check my review about it) and wanted to check some stores and grab some coffee. I liked my cappuccino but did not order any pastry because there were only a few left and they looked old and dry. Cute little corner coffee shop with several tables outside, very pleasant. Cute to see they have flowers from Floral Palette next to the coffee machine. Something cute to look up while waiting for the coffee:)

Oh my goodness!! What a gem. It was my first time visiting & I had a great experience. I was able to find parking easily, on a Saturday afternoon. It's located next to floral palette flowers and gifts It's a super small shop, but they have outdoor seating, maybe 7 tables? Maybe not the best choice for very large groups, but when I came, no one was having their coffee sitting down, they all did to go! The barista was super sweet & informative. She asked me if I was looking for anything in particular, and let me know that they roast their beans on site! I ordered tim's favorite which was a brownie and toffeenuts on top, a breakfast sausage croissant, and a regular latte. The brownie was amazing!! The breakfast sausage croissant was fluffy and soft and crispy on the outside, but not much meat inside, but lots of dough. The coffee was great as well! They even put a little latte art heart on it. There is outdoor seating & it was so nice sitting there with my pup. both of us are super happy with this place & i would like to come back again if I'm ever in the area again.

Great little local coffee and pastry shop. Short walk from the Inn at Rancho Sante Fe. Had a great spinach feta filled croissant and an americano with an extra shot. The croissant was perfect and the coffee was done just right. Got to meet some fun locals enjoying the brisk morning Perfect light breakfast on a busy travel week and in a nice little very San Diego neighborhood!

    The Frappe's are great.

A tiny coffee shop with some outside seating only, and inside it's crammed. They make great caramel frappe's that are not too sweet and yet smooth and milky. However, the straws they use are thick, boba-type straws which makes it hard to control the draw; And there is only one size of straws--too short for a large frappe--so you'll have to fish for it with your finger. Be aware that there is no wifi and no public bathroom, so staying there is pretty much not an option. Nevertheless, the frappe's make it worth the visit.

Small but fantastic little coffee shop. Great coffees made all ways. The pastries are fantastic also. Nice sized patio out side to sit too.

The employee who helped us, Luke, was fantastic. Several of us wanted to sample different flavors before deciding, and he was patient, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. He even took the time to recommend flavors for the kids to try (Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, which he said it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch... and he was right)! His positive attitude, professionalism, and kindness made the experience so much more enjoyable. We left with great ice cream and an even better impression of the shop thanks to Luke.

All three of us got the salted, malted cookie dough, and damnnnn it was delicious. Love a malted option! One of us also got birthday cake with blackberries, which was a unique spin and the other got the raspberry marzipan princess cake. That one was vegan, and impressively good with the pistachio-cashew base. Our daughter also had a scoop of vanilla she was happy with. The folks helping us were very friendly and prices seemed semi-normal. Next time, just fill 'er up and we'll give you five stars :)

Where do I even begin... Saffron & Rose is so much more than my favorite ice cream place (and this…read moreis coming from a true ice cream connoisseur) -- it's a place that holds some of my fiancé and my most special memories. We stumbled upon Saffron & Rose early on in our dating season, and we fell in love with their Saffron Pistachio ice cream almost as quickly as we fell in love with one another. As our relationship grew, we found ourselves talking about engagement and dreaming about our future together -- all while sharing a Saffron & Rose ice cream in hand. So when we found out they catered and had this Del Mar location, it felt like everything aligned perfectly. It only made sense to have this oh-so-special ice cream at our wedding this year. This is more than a review -- it's a thank you to Saffron & Rose (special shoutout to the loveliest Nooshin) and a love letter to the truly palate-altering, mind-blowing, made-with-love deliciousness that is their ice cream. If you haven't tried it yet, make your way down to Del Mar -- you'll understand after the very first bite.

We recall that place as quite modest and "dumpy," which we loved. Our experience at the San Diego location was not as impressive. We came here with a few friends and the first thing to note is that the space is *tiny.* You are crammed in like sardines. Everything is brand spanking new, so there's not that much charm, but the kiddos who were working were really sweet and patient while our whole posse tried some flavors out. One of us was thrilled to see ube and taro ice cream being offered, so she ended up with that. The other person got something chocolatey, and our kiddo got cookies and cream (maybe? we can't remember!). They basically force you to order a big size of two scoops, which we did not appreciate. Our friends all got the Persian flavors because they are Persian :) The ice cream is good enough, but because we had to eat it outside in the heat, it melted quickly and wasn't the most enjoyable experience overall. If you're hankering for Persian-specific flavors, then you will love this place, but we'd rather go back to the one in LA at some point for nostalgia's sake. Three stars, but no bad feelings, and we wish them well.

The woman helping us was patient while we made up our minds. I needed napkins as it started dripping immediately, even through the thick coating. We sat at the tables outside and ate our cones. The butterscotch tasted ok but it was really thick and waxy so I didn't finish it. If I were in the area i might come back and get ice cream or soft serve again but skip the dip.
