I went to Javelina Harley-Davidson to test drive a 2020 Tri Glide Ultra during the afternoon of 11/12/25. Earlier that morning I test drove a 2023 Tri Glide Ultra at Caliente Harley-Davidson. The 2023 was a better deal for me so I bought that trike. Today I get a notice from Eaglemark Savings saying that my request for the loan on the 2020 Tri Glide was denied because I just took out a loan on a 2023 TG. Who asked them to submit a loan in my name for something I wasn't going to buy. Maybe it was an honest mistake, an administration error, who knows, but it sure seems shady to me. read more

Save your time and money. I went there because the service manager I knew of. Seems like a great dude that knows his shit, but he's not the one who doing the work. They hired new people and they are supervised by him. Now, I didn't know this when I went there with my baby, but I trusted the SM. Come to find out i put too much faith in him and this shop. They screwed me over by not doing my Fork tubes replacement. A year later with only 35-40 miles on the tubes itself. I took it to a different shop because they were leaking again when the shop opened them up and did the work they told me that my fork seals were never done the oil was dirty and that my bushings were bad. I called and requested for the owner to call me so we can talk this out.... I haven't received my call yet. They have lost my business period. And while a lot of HD dealership are closing... I pray this will be one too. Stay away from this dealership, You been warned.. They are really not to be trusted with something we put our lives on and ride when we can.... read more

I have always had such great service here but today the staff went above and beyond. I had an issue with my stereo system and the techs were able to fix it right away! I didn't have an appointment, I just walked in to ask some questions, they brought my bike in and fixed it. The new 2024 stereo is so much different than the 2014 one. We got a used trike there. They did not service the bike. We got warranty on it. Now they're charging us almost $300. They say for labor. It's been a month that the bikes been at the shop. Worst experience. Javelina unloaded my street glide and damaged my fender. The shop manager (Zach) said he would address it after my service work was done ($1700). And afterwards, he dismissed me. I went back because the Sales Person is awesome but it seems the dealership after the sale is going down hill. They didn't offer a free 1k service like they use to and this was my third bike purchase. No gift card for merchandise. The service department doesn't seem to have it together. The parts department seems to only have one person that knows anything which is I believe Nick. Seems like the owner is not caring about the customer experience and is all about the money. Called up looking for a part. Was greeted by the person answering the phone and she was pleasant and forwarded me to parts. Young man answered the phone and didn't seem like he wanted to help at all and boy was I right. I told him what part I needed and he looked it up and was like. Yeah it was an older part that they don't carry and I would have to go somewhere else. I was literally floored I have been building motorcycles over 30 years and never had someone not wanting to help. To put this in perspective I called another store they gave me the correct information. And tried looking up aftermarket without having to ask for help. That is another review for a store that deserves it as this store does not. So I was so floored I said dude if you don't want to fucking help me get me someone who does. Yes I did cuss but not at this employee and this asshat said if your going to cuss at me I'll hang up. And he did. This is the service we get from Harley now. Ridiculous. I called back and asked for a manager and they gave me to some other kid that was justifying the conversation that he didn't hear. I told him I didn't cuss your employee I was asking fir his help as he was rushing me off the phone once he realized the part was not avail either. Here is the reason for my review. I asked the manager. If I could have the part number as the other guy obviously can't do a job and his sensitive ears must of hurt his feelings. The so called manager gave me the wrong part number. If this was on purpose this shows what type of quality we get from this dealership. If it was not it show what type of management this dealership as because that means the previous guy was looking at the wrong part. We as bikers spend a ton of money on our bikes. Especially Harleys I expect great customer service when I call in or go into a store, which I usually get. Unfortunately this store was so different. Most real bikers cuss, drink and the whole nine. Get used to it. If the employee can't handle it get ones that can. I'm not going to apologize for cussing. It wasn't directed at the store employee but when you're broke down and needing a part and you call the name you live and trust. You expectation is high. If you need a store. The o e in new braunfels is legit and so are the ones in SA. Skip this store altogether. I cannot thank Javelina HD enough with my most recent experience. I'll be the first to admit I can be a difficult customer at times. It began with the General Manager, John who listened to my concerns and took action through having one amazing sales / customer care individual, Gino help me. Gino's active listening skills and determining needs and preferences are second to none, Gino went above and beyond to help me to ensure my satisfaction. When we came to a bump in the road (completely my fault) the sales manager Eddie provided perfect assistance to help make sure things would work out. The finance person, Nicole not only made it an easy comfortable experience but also went above and beyond to help with final touches to the contract. Not only did the three people, I mentioned, stay late to help me but also, I believe everybody who was working stayed late just to be prepared for any hiccups (at least that's how I felt). I've always had my reservations when it comes to any kind of dealership but Javelina HD sets the bar pretty high for anyone else to meet. After a long drive to go purchase a new Harley, my wife and I were greeted with nasty looks and blatant disregard from salesmen in this store. After over 7 to 10 minutes of browsing, my wife said let's go. They do not deserve our money. The atmosphere here was like a "good old boy country club" and minorities aren't invited. What a waste of time! After driving from Houston (on my way to Phoenix) I decided to take a break and stop in at Javelin HD. I guess I'm just spoiled, because I no one (not 1 single person) greeted me when I walked in, and I was use to that... No one asked if I needed help (I could have used help getting the right size shirt). When I finally found the shirt I wanted (regular T-shirt. .. $30!), I stood at the counter for 15 minutes while waiting for the 2 cashiers to finish jaw-jacking with a couple. I watched as two others behind the counter did everything BUT customer service. When the couple walked away, I approached the counter, expecting to be greeted by the cashier (miss gabby), but instead, she just looked at me and walled away.! I was furious. STAY AWAY!! RIP-OFF ARTISTS!! My husband needed a tire replacement while on a hill country trip. Yes, he was at their mercy due to his tire shredding, and yes, kudos to them for getting him in last minute...That's where the kudos stop. They charged him $290 for the tire and almost $100 in labor!! Seriously?? $400 for a Dunlop rear replacement? This is how you treat an out of towner that needs your help? I have searched the entire Internet for average replacement costs and you are more than $150 over the average!! I hope management reads this, and I certainly hope locals read this. Shame on you!! Had issues with the cruise control on my road king not working, stopped off here to see if I could get it sorted ? Christa in the service department was so friendly and helpful, found out that the module was U/S and they had none in stock. All in all great experience going here, although they mis diagnosed the problem but could not fix it, no charge, going to ride till I get further east to another dealer who has the part. Stop off if your on the I10 ! These guys miss diagnosed the problem ? I followed the led and ordered a part from another dealer further down the road, wrong !!!! I went to maybe 6 or 7 dealers and this was the berst experience and price for used bikes. Ray is a kind dealer at Javelina harley in Boerne Texas. I found out that the Road King starting at 2002 has a better forged crank, better bearings, stronger swing arm, delphi injection, better frame. Years later the 88 engine would jump up to a 103 and six speed but many still prefer the 88 and the 5 speed. I also learned that the 09 and 2010 years handle a bit better, but 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 were in my price range. A forum told me to skip all road kings from 2005 due to bad valve guide seals. Did the first dealer at cowboy harley of austin share any of this with me? Nope. The javelina harley dealer named Ray knew all of this and discussed this with me to shed even more light on the issues from various years. They ruled. One dealership called Alamo Harley down in San Antonio was the worst. I walked in with my Girlfriend and went to the bathroom while she waited in the front by the dealers. When i finished, I stood back and watched 4 dealers ignore her in a circle chat. When I finally walked over I asked what they were chatting about and why they ignored her. She said they were complaining about their shitty commission check for the last 5 minutes. We looked at a dumpy electra glide and left. She coulda had a 10,000 check and 1000 cash in her purse...oh wait she did. Never ignore the ladies. Dream machines of austin had a great selection but I must say it is strange to see Kawasaki's and BMW's next to Harley Davidsons. The bike I liked wouldn't start and it raised a red flag, even though I know that most bikes sitting on a showroom floor for too long might not start. I wondered why they dont start them everyday. The staff was kind but didnt quite know enough about road kings. Id recommend them if you are looking for a motorcycle and dont know where to start. You can see such a wide range of styles. They did educate me about the road king police bikes. Most of them are stripped down, ridden hard and thats why they appear on ebay for so cheap. We went to round rock harley next and they were nice, but had a very low selection on used bikes. You gotta try Rudys bbq right by there. The sign says the worst BBQ to keep the tourists out. Yes its in a gas station but there is no better service and taste. Franklin BBQ and Rudy's are jam. I will probably get parts and service from these folks even though they aren't the closest to me. THE PURCHASE The Javelina Harley dealer greeted us right when we walked in and kept my gal and I stocked with cokes and water, free t-shirts, no pressure and suggested test rides. They were thousands of dollars cheaper than cowboy harley and easy going. I decided to buy my 2002 road king classic, white, from them. 40,000 miles for 9885.00 They fixed up the saddlebags, let me inspect everything, test ride and then replaced the battery. They also delivered it for free. They spent a lot of time clarifying everything without acting exhausted. You can also feel a vibe at a lot of dealers when folks are disheartened by their job.
