paid almost $400 for 4 USED TIRES. I noticed one had a slit in the sidewall of the tire and the back tire had a plug close to the sidewall. So I bring it back to the shop and tell them what's wrong and not only did they re patch the tire with the plug they also tell me they won't replace it because it's not leaking. My issue isn't that it's leaking, it's that I paid $80 for a used tire that was previou repaired which I'm pretty sure is illegal. Now I gave 1 star because they did replace the front tire with the cut in the sidewall but I'm pretty upset that I paid that much money and got 2 tires that were pretty much bad and now I have to ride on a tire that is plugged almost on the sidewall and the company won't replace it to keep good business. I could have bought the tires brand new from discount tires for $60 a pieve but because I was in a rush and was already there I paid $80 a piece for used tires which I didn't mind but I at least want them to be worth the money which they were not. I will not be coming back because I feel that is bad business and you shouldn't do your customers like that especially when you are overcharging them in the first place. They did an amazing job and got me a better tire wise brand new for half the cost at . And they said if I had any I could come they would remember me. ram 2500 front bearings went out. these guy got the parts and had me fixed up and back on the road quickly on a Saturday @ a very fair price. the service was so good when i purchased tires online i took them here to have them mounted and they took care or it, again at a very fair price. this is my go to shop going forward. great service fair price. read more

Had a flat tire from a nail today. Looked up this place and saw really great reviews! I called before I went and they answered the phone right away to answer any questions I had! I was helped by Mark and he was awesome! Very informative and professional. I was able to stay in my car with my dog while he lifted my car and checked the tire. So disappointed with the way a situation that arose was handled. I took 2 front tires to be mounted and balanced. While I was there I noticed a gentleman aggressively trying to get one of the tires on the rim. At the time I thought nothing of it but as soon as I got home I noticed 2 bubbles on the side wall of my tires. I drove back to Alfonso's tire and brought it to marks attention. He said "no, those tires are defected" so I reached out to who I purchased them from. My family member who is a tire distributor in San Antonio and he told me just to bring them back and they'd warranty them. So I had them taken off and come to find out that they weren't defected. Alfonso's tire shop had torn both the beads on my tires which voids the warranties. So I took the torn tires back to show mark and instead of taking responsibility he said " oh, now it looks like our fault because I tore them when I was taking them off". Instead of trying to take care of a valued customer/customers he responded aggressively in denial over a 200 dollar value. He said there's nothing I can do. My brother and I have been going to Alfonso's tire shop for over 4 years. We've sent countless amount of family members and friends to this shop. Our cousin who is a tire distributor referred us here and we're deeply disappointed with the customer service. Please avoid going here because if they make a mistake you will be left on the hook for it. read more

Great service with a "can do" attitude. I had some weights on my 38" tires come off. Took it to Alfonso's and they relayed it's best to strip all and put new ones on since more were falling off. Alfonso's was great! I was in and out in 10 minutes... I showed up to another place nearby needing 2 new front tires in order to pass inspection... I hard already parked, was prepared to wait because I saw how many people were there... but then I overheard another customer saying 3 hour wait. Immediately I left. Ain't nobody got time for that! So I did what I always do, I looked on Yelp to see what was up, if there was anything in the area that had good reviews. Found Alfonso's right away and called them. I was given a really nice quote over the phone for a set of tires, not brand new, but barely used at all, in great condition and I decided to get them. I let them know I'd be arriving in 10-15 minutes. Once I got there, they showed me tires and got to work immediately putting them on. Right after I paid, one of the mechanics, who was very friendly might I add, he showed me what the price of those same tires were brand new, per tire. Needless to say I was quite happy. Great tire shop! Took my 2017 GMC Sierra to have my 24 inch rims balanced. I was taken care of and my rims were serviced with great care! I'm a fan of this place. I've bought two tires from them, one used tire for a Jeep and one new tire for an Accord. There are no clear set prices so it can be a bit daunting if you don't know what you're doing. Look for a tire with no cracking on the sidewalls and top, and nice deep grooves along the tread. If it looks bald or cracking you probably don't want it. They're super quick to swap out your busted tire and take care of disposal. Both tires I bought have held up so far so no complaints. There is no waiting room to speak of (maybe a chair inside the office) so you kinda stand around while they do the repair. Maybe not a great place to have kids running around with all the heavy machinery. But they're decent guys and are flexible on pricing for some stuff. read more

Good people but now if you bring your own oil they raised the price to 20 bucks used to be 15 hard to beat Walmart.

The other day I stopped by to get a used tire. I had been going to Alfonso's for several years for my tire needs. The last time I went there for a tire I was marginally satisfied as the tire that they sold me was not in the greatest shape. I was O.K. with it as they only charged me $30 dollars for it. The other day however they tried to sell me a tire with little tread left, worn excessively on the outer edge, with a wire embedded into the tread for a whopping $60! I pointed out the flaws and expressed that I would not pay $60 for a used tire, especially one in that condition. The employee informed me that the tire was the last one they had in that size. I informed him that for just a little more I could get a brand new one from Discount Tire. He then stated, "Really... Then go get it." I could not believe my ears. I'll never go back there again. I then went down the road to C&C tires where I had a positive experience. The sold me a tire for less money, that has barely any wear on it and even balanced it for no extra charge. Final score.
