My wife took her CRV to Jay Honda for an oil change. They called my wife and sid these processes had to be done. The processes included rotate the tires, change the fluid in the transmission and differential and other stuff. My wife and I reluctantly agreed. Bad move! These "extras" raised what should have been around a $50 bill to $638.98. Of course they covered themselves by saying "customer requested". I don't recall authorizing brake maintenance for one. These maintenances are broken down to minute detail to help run up the bill: "Four wheel brake maintenance,disassemble all 4 brakes. Remove pads, remove rust and dirt, lube and reassemble. Perform 4 wheel brake maintenance." $119.95 and no parts were replaced! I definitely should have turned down the transmission fluid change. The care only had 15,000 mile on it and is only 3 years old. I have never seen a better job at ways to run up a bill for unnecessary processes!! I will not be taking my car or doing business with Jay Honda again. If you do BE SURE TO PASS ON ADD ON PROCEDURES. Tell them to JUST do the work you requested ONLY. Your still going to get a bill broken down breaking down the process to try to justify the high cost. I imagine a lot of car dealers are now doing this to jack up repair bills. read more

This dealership is incredible. My partner and I decided to trade our 2018 Honda CRV LX with 5,800 miles for the 2018 EX model which had more of the features we wanted. I always dreaded the car purchase experience because of high pressure salesmen which caused us to walk out the door. Not this place. One phone call to Bill Mock, the used car manager and we explained we had an LX model with low miles and wanted to move up to the EX. We told him what we wanted for our trade and our out the door price for the EX. He took my info and called me back and told us to come in where we met with Patrick Maze who had our offer and began processing the offer. No additional hassle. No high pressure sales techniques. He Just drew up a sales contract for our agreed upon terms. We then met with Ira Jackson for for financing who arranged a great interest rate, signed everything and was introduced to Jeff Wells, the customer service director who spent over an hour with us in the car explaining how to use the additional features and answered all our questions. Even Lynette, the receptionist who greeted us when we walked in the door and offered us water, was helpful and considerate. Honestly, it was an incredibly pleasant experience and it's no wonder they sell as many cars as they do. If you are in the market for a new or used Honda, go here first. UDATE. Nov 1, 2018. I have given this dealership a one star rating due to the fact that almost a month after making the purchase, we are still waiting on the dealership to successfully issue a pay off check to our credit union. This was a out of state registration and the day we bought the car, everyone there assured us they do out of state deals "all the time" and there would be no problems with the title. It seems they mailed the first check to the wrong credit union! We have made several calls to all involved and have been told they were reissuing the payoff check, but we're sending it snail mail versus overnight because the credit union had a post office box when in fact there is an actual street address they could have used. I am not happy with these guys at all! First off whoever answers phones is completely incapable of transferring the phone. Every time I have called these guys I get transferred at least 10 times within 2 min. No one seems to want to talk on the phone. I don't know how they are staying in business! I needed to talk to someone in service for more than one problem. I wanted to order parts and have some minor work done to my vehicle. After 10 minutes of being on hold and not even speaking with anyone finally a guy answers. I try to make an appt and apparently Saturday's are unavailable. I cannot leave my car during the week. I live to far away for a shuttle. The last time I had service done here I stayed because they told me it would take an hour. It took 4 hours!!! Then the scratched all 4 of my rims!!! Never got those replaced..... So really I shouldn't have even tried to give them a second chance. I did and again was duped. Never again! read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. Dave-our technician was extremely rude and pushy after having my car for over an hour just to change a couple Lugnuts. Before the service even began I was asked if I would like an estimate before they began service and I said yes. After about an hour I went looking for the woman who had taken my car and she was nowhere to be found. I waited another 15 minutes & found her..came to find out that everything altogether was going to cost a lot more than what I had originally anticipated and they in fact had done the service without consulting me or giving me an estimate. Extremely annoyed and will not come back. This is why I try to stay away from dealerships and stick to smaller, local mechanics when I can! read more

Looking for a new car? Think twice before using Jay Honda in Bedford! Very dishonest group of people. Especially James Pilla, the Director of Sales. Here is why: 1. Jay Honda would not give me any information over the phone. They insisted I come in. I received several other quotes online and over the phone from other dealerships. 2. stopped at the dealership only because it was close to my home and I wanted to pick a color and then the sales pitch began. I asked what is the lowest price you will give me. The salesman asked if I had other quotes and I said yes he said he will try to match the lowest quote I have. they matched the lowest quote I have. I was happy. Here's the catch it's only good for right now if you say yes otherwise the Price is off the table. This should've been a sign for me to run. After all, other dealerships quoted me a price and gave me one week to think about it. 3. Because I talked Jay Honda down to such a low price they were prepared to give me an unfair trade-in for my SUV. I said no trade, I will sell it myself. 4. The salesman told me I need to put a deposit down. I said OK not knowing it was nonrefundable. Salesman never told me and charged my credit card before I ever signed any forms. Yes this was me being stupid. 5. Now the financing. I told them my husband will have to be on the financing with me since I am a full-time homemaker. I filled out the form for a credit check and waited for my husband to arrive after work. My husband arrived and he began discussing things such as swapping out tires etc. with the salesman. The salesman said sure we can get you pricing my husband said he wants to know what everything is going to cost. My husband also signed paperwork to do a credit check . He signed the form approximately one hour after my credit card was charged the deposit stating the deposit is nonrefundable. He placed his signature on the form that had my information on it. He thought he was signing a credit check form. 6. We left that evening without filling out any other paperwork and agreed to come back in two days to fill out all paperwork and do the financing. The next day, Thursday my husband still did not receive a call from the salesman regarding the total cost of everything. In fact, he didn't receive a call until right before we were supposed to leave on Friday to go sign the paperwork. The cost the salesman was quoting on accessories such as floor mats, luggage rack, and tires were above Honda's pricing on their website. Also, they were going to charge us extra installation charges for everything. Here is where my husband gets a little suspicious and begins calling other dealerships. 7. Spoke to a wonderful dealership, Classic Honda, in Streetsboro. They said we will get you any color you want at no extra charge, free mud flaps, 10% off of any additional accessories and no installation charges. Guess what, their pricing reflected what was on Honda's website. They stated there is never installation charges on the car purchased through our dealership. Oh, and an awesome price on our trade-in. 8. We called Jay Honda to tell them that we are no longer interested in the car. The cost was going to be more than what we had budgeted for with all the expenses that we would have to incur and we just needed to back out. Jay Honda told us we will not receive our deposit. 9. As a courtesy my husband went back to Jay Honda on Saturday to discuss the issue with the director of sales and three other people. They refused to do anything and said that we signed a form. By the way they never gave us any forms to take home the only piece of paper we took home was a receipt showing a charge on our credit card. They refused to refund us and were trying to get us to buy a smaller car. Why would I get rid of my SUV to buy a tiny SUV and cram three kids into it? 10. Here's where it gets good. I called to speak to the general manager. He called me back and said that James has our file and he will give me a call back to discuss the problem. James called back with attitude. I kindly asked him if there is anything that we can do. He told me he was thinking about it over the weekend and he will refund my money in the next 30 days when he receives a report from Honda showing that we did not purchase another Honda vehicle from a different dealership. No such report exists. I asked classic Honda and I also asked Honda corporate about a report and they stated that would be illegal for them to do. 11. Called the GM again today I left a message telling the GM I only want him to call me back and not to push me off on his director of sales still waiting to hear back. Filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, Ohio Attorney General, and Honda corporate, put a hold on my credit card, and now I have my attorney involved. read more

A second person called and said they saw I wanted a new car and offered almost 3000 less. I countered, the salesperson said the manager said it was ok. i had a great buying experience from Jay Honda especially the salesperson Raquel Reyes and the finance guy Joe. I came in at 5:30pm not realizing they closed at 6, but they immediately took care of me and within an hour I had a new car! However 2 months later I brought it back for service and was extremely disappointed with the service Dept. They had my car for over 7 hours and did not address the main reason for bringing it in. A terrible rattling in the undercarriage, drivers side window getting hung up on the rubber, squealing in the drivers seat. They did lubricate the window and left a big glob of lubricant on the window. Said they took it for a drive, but heard nothing. Figures. There was no paper mats on the floor, and no mileage on the speedometer, so I'm pretty sure they never drove it. Also gave me a "Free" car wash which was awful! Car was cleaner when I brought it in!
