I told him I wasn't sure if he was helping or telling his story to a friend, the worker says "he'll yeah I'm going to finish " my story and then began ignoring me again. I left out & told my boyfriend & he went to handle it. The worker began lying , stating he was helping a customer - when I addressed the lie, he ignored us again and left to the back. The situation was escalating and while I'm trying to assist in calming everything down, their customers began disrespecting me directly, causing my boyfriend to come to my aide in the front. I felt completely unsafe & disrespected. when I told the owner, he blamed us, lying about everything that happened, painting us as the aggressors. As a woman, I felt disrespected & as a person of color - it's clear the owner is just like they rest of THEM, looking at us as the problem instead of taking accountability for how they got it there. I had to pay my note through him, not a finance company. The first week of having the car I brought to his attention that the car engine light popped on, the tire sensors was out of whack, the passenger window didn't roll down, the brakes was terrible, and the glove compartment was tore off. The car wasn't even running about a week in, I had to go get a new battery. They told me the battery he had in there wasn't even the battery to my car. About 3 times I went back for him to "fix" the problems, even though I asked for a refund multiple times because, an engine problem was too much and he never told us the car had that problem. Every time he insisted on fixing it and not giving me my refund. After every time he "fixed" it the light came back on. He even kept the car for 6 days and the light popped back on that same night. I took it to auto zone and they read that it was the catalytic converter. I went to another shop and they said the same thing. I brought that to his attention and he became disrespectful arguing that he put a $600 new converter in the car. The car end up having a coolant leak, I had to take it to Chevrolet where they told me no new converter was put in there, and that the car was basically in bad shape. I cannot obtain tags. After a while of not having my title I kept asking about it because I was actively paying a note, which he got real smart and rude and came and towed the car. I stopped paying the note because I was concerned why I never got any paperwork and why I kept having to wait for him to get me 30 day tags. He used to have me going days, sometimes weeks with expired tags. I knew something was wrong so my mom took over and she had to pay extra to get the car back from when he came and towed it. STILL NO PAPERWORK but he came to repo the car. My mother was still paying him the note and we was still having to wait until he get me 30 day tags every month. That stopped October 21, 2025. My mom end up thinking it was crazy that we was nearing the end of the payments and STILL NO PAPERWORK. So we asked again and now he admits that he doesn't have the paperwork and that I could finish my payments and he would give me another Chevy cruze that he supposedly have the paperwork too. Do that sound right? NO, and since I didn't want to accept that, he basically stop giving me tags. So now I have been riding with expired tags since october of last year. I am preparing to sue him because this situation is messing with my livelihood, my personal life and my mental.
