The staff was so nice. We came in without a reservation and they accommodated us( with some parameters). The location is small and rustic but makes good use of the space. The bench seating of the table required a booster seat if you are under 6ft. The outdoor space on the side gives "Little Italy" vibes The food: the house salad was phenomenal, simple and delicious. It honestly makes you feel like you've been transported to Italy, from the cozy aesthetic of the restaurant to the charming wine window next door and their great happy hour. Our go to Italian spot. Girls night. Date night. Celebrating whatever. It's the perfect spot. Atmosphere is super cute and the wine bar is nice while you wait for your table. We always make reservations because seating is limited and they are always busy. The house salad is so good I usually get that and add protein but the pasta entrees are always good as well. It was my birthday so I wanted to ensure I felt extra special. Our waiter was great and he had great suggestions for food and drinks. This was my first time trying out the actual restaurant and now I'm hooked. They even allowed us to get up from the table to order wine from the window just for the experience! Made a reservation to have dinner here to experience their Italian inspired atmosphere and wine window. The restaurant is adorable and very charming. With that being said it is most definitely an influencer attraction, there were many people filming and taking photos so just be sure to expect that when you go. The wine window although very cute, was covered in ants and very sticky! I ordered a lavender lemon drop which was way too sweet for my liking, I ended up sending it back, but the wine flight was very tasty with generous portions. Thankfully we finished right as the sky opened up. The appetizers were a bit underwhelming, but our entrees were the stars. Literally every single entree we got was superb. Some notable favorites were the chicken parm, lasagna (MEZZO STYLE! SO GOOD!), pistachio crusted chicken, and the gnocchi sorrentina. Finally went to Oggi and Buchette! Went on a random Saturday night and was not too busy. Went did make a reservation the day before. Got sat almost immediately when we checked in. Definitely a casual cute spot that's perfect for girls night. I felt pretty safe walking around the area too. The little Buchette spritz window is so cute! I went the OG aperol spritz since I haven't been here before. Could not go wrong. I wanted to try something new for entree so ordered the diavolo penne since I was feeling tomato sauce. Waiter warned me it would be spicy but it's popular here. (It was in fact not spicy for me but I also eat pretty spicy on the regular) It does have peppers on top but they are more like pickled peppers and we kind of too salty for me. Penne was cooked perfectly and the sausage in the sauce was very rustic and chunky style. Friend got the combo scampi. Scallops were perfect. Didn't smell to fishy or seafoody. I often walk past Oggi Italian on Davis Island and it always has a very lively atmosphere. So, I finally decided to try it after a friend recommended it for dinner. It was very easy to get a reservation despite it being more of a last-minute weekend plan. I got a fresh fruity lemonade as well as the rigatoni italia which came with a side salad. The Cesar side salad was simply delicious! It was really nice to have a side of fresh greens since the rigatoni Italia is a creamier, heavy pasta (I ended up taking half the meal to go because it was so rich). The pasta was loaded with prosciutto coto and the mushroom cream sauce...so cheesy and savory! I wouldn't say that Oggi has the most authentic Italian food, but if you're looking for something indulgent and comforting, then this is the place to go. I also really appreciated that the entree came with a fresh espresso at the end--that little touch did transport me to Italy! Overall, would recommend this place for a date night or special event.
