Tried a few quick bites a first for the oysters as well as the fried pickles, hands down the oysters were the best part, only complaint is there was only 3! Since I wasn't super hungry after that I just got the Cuban sandwich which, I have no complaints about. Bread was tasty and the flavor overall hit the spot! They had manhattans on the menu so I gave that a go, it wasn't exactly what I would expect for a manhattan as it was too sweet, but that's okay still good enough to drink! They do have large ice for my old fashioned friends if interested for an upcharge. One thing I didn't expect of this restaurant was how huge it really is, multiple dining rooms as well as outdoor seating. You shouldn't have any issue getting a table but can always reserve to be sure! Overall happy with the experience and would certainly go again

Hector was a great server and was very knowledgeable of the menu! I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right. I also tried pieces of the fish and chips, and the fish was incredibly delicate with a light, crispy crunch on the batter that made every bite stand out. Overall, the quality, presentation, and taste of everything we had were outstanding. Definitely a restaurant I'd return to I didn't get to try the oysters this was a quick trip but highly recommend if you're in Tampa looking for an elevated dining experience.

Since it was a little humid outside, we opted to sit inside with the AC. Here's what we ordered: I have their new coconut crusted grouper sandwich style with onion rings. The beer battered onion rings was also a good compliment to the sandwich and the batter was so light. We also had their lobster corndog with fries. These two entrées that we ordered are a must try when you visit this place. The service was pretty quick. They got a little busy towards the end, but the food comes very quickly hardly any wait at all! So if you're in the mood for some local seafood bites and you're in the ballast point Tampa Bay area this place is a must try. Highly recommend.

Let me be upfront: I'm a blackened fish guy. Fried sandwiches are usually not my thing. But the…read morecoconut grouper sandwich at Big Ray's Fish Camp made me a convert, at least for one afternoon. Picture coconut shrimp, but make it grouper. Shredded coconut in a lightly sweet batter, fried to golden perfection. The sweetness of the coating complemented the fish without overpowering it. I genuinely didn't expect to love it as much as I did. We upgraded our side to the beer-battered onion rings -- worth every penny. The batter had real flavor and a satisfying crunch that held up through the whole meal. My wife went with the lobster corn dog, and honestly it might be the most fun dish on the menu. A fluffy, mildly sweet batter wrapped around solid chunks of actual lobster, served on a stick. No filler, no shortcuts -- just real lobster. The fries on the side came out crispy and were finished with Parmesan and parsley, which elevated what could have been a throwaway side. One thing to note: skip the fountain soda. My Sprite tasted flat and watery, basically club soda in a cup. Stick with something from the bottle or grab a beer. Big Ray's is the kind of place that takes bar food seriously and executes it at a high level. Creative without being gimmicky. Already planning the next, Po boys!!!

And I had the oyster po boy which was delicious and a lot of plump oysters. I was only able to eat half the sandwich. I wanted onion rings but they were out of them. The customer service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. This is a small establishment and the majority of the seating is outside, so be conscious of that. I definitely recommend this business.

It remained constantly busy and they had two people taking orders. They lined up a row of umbrellas so that you could stand in the shade while you waited to place your order. The menu wasn't extensive, but I sure enjoyed the grouper and shrimp I ate! They give you a text to let you know your food is ready and then there's lots of nice shaded areas and table to eat at. This was a much better line and options than I had in the convention center the day prior...! The only detractors were the occasional cigar and cigarette smoke that would waft over while I was eating. Not the restaurant's fault. It is what it is.

You have to place your order at a register and they bring your food out to the table overlooking the water. There is patio seating and indoor seating. The tables are metal w a blue rubber.
