Came out right away and repaired my dryer. Saved me the cost (and waste) of buying a new one.

I reached out to J & J to potentially repair a freezer door that I couldn't fix myself…read more Joe came out and gave me a quote the same day. He ordered the replacement part and came back out a couple days after the part was delivered. He installed the part within a couple hours, probably closer to an hour. The cost for labor was very reasonable, and then the cost of the part completed the total amount billed. With this fix, the fridge/freezer should last another five years. I started to worry I needed to buy a new one when I couldn't find the replacement part online. I'm glad J & J was able to get the part and fix in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable price.

I had a good experience with J&J Appliance Repair. Our stovetop burner wouldn't turn off which was…read moreweird, so I cut power to the entire range. Flipped it back on the next day and it persisted, so I figured I better go ahead and take care of this. Watched a few YouTube videos and "noped" out of that pretty fast. I requested some quotes on Yelp and J&J was the only one who didn't just send back a "call us for price" kind of message. He broke down exactly what it would be for the service call, how it applies to the cost of the labor, etc. While it was a notch higher than what I'd want to pay, I get it. Everything is. He got the part ordered, was prompt on his follow-up visit, and got things taken care of quickly. All good, no issues to speak of. I hate appliance repairs but appreciate having someone who could communicate clearly and take care of it for us.

Tried to reach out to T.O.G.A.R. via Yelp reservations and via their website Contact Us page…read morewebform directly, and had zero luck getting any response. The Yelp form seemed to have some issues going through; not sure if it was a Yelp issue or vendor issue, so that's why I went to the vendor's website directly, and attempted their webform. As of now, it's been numerous business days with no reply. I see from other reviews that my experience appears to be outside the norm, so that's unfortunate.

Ok, close it down folks, I've found my new appliance repair guy for the foreseeable future…read more I had started down the YouTube instructional video.. you know the ones that make everything look incredibly easy, but then it turns out it's a marginally different model of dryer and completely changes the whole equation? Yeah, one of those. So about fifty suppressed swear words later, I'm on the phone with The Other Guy, and we're booked for a short window the next day. He jumped right in and dismantled the entire thing to clean it out, test out parts, and make sure he got it right. He showed me how the burner was glowing too hot, which means we'd just be replacing it again in a handful of months. We tested and tried different things on it, and he landed on an airflow issue (in addition to already fixing the broken part), and shortened our exhaust duct. He stuck around to make sure this fix was it and was going to take, and it's been humming ever since. I also found his pricing fair, and will go to him again (but good lord hopefully not for a while, we've had enough of these things this year). On last note -- just call him. I know. I want to send the message and hope it works out, but I think it's easier and more likely to happen if you just call on this one.
