Only good for Cheap Alcohol. The smell in the store especially the meat section is atrocious. It just feels dirty in that Plaza all together. It's ran by Koreans so as usual, slum lord activity here and the whole block. They never take care of the areas that they don't live in..That Church across the street won't even water or cut the deas bushes around the parking lot. I went here because I wanted some alcohol. I dont know why I remembered going here some years ago for someone else and they had a crazy collection of liquor. As I said it's been a long time and I walked in and I saw their long wall of libations and I felt like a kid in a candy store. They also keep some random strange drinks and that makes this place a real diamond in the ruff. The store is really clean and they people were really nice. I'm sure I'll be back. This is the type of store you go to when you don't want to drive further to TJs, Vons or Ralph's. Selection is of course limited as can be expected for a store this size. However, if you don't care about quality, you might find some good deals in the grocery department. Service-wise, keep your expectations low, and if you don't speak Spanish, don't expect to have anyone to answer your questions. Just remember the important question: "donde esta la cerveza?" Also, for a store this size, the selection of alcohol was actually decent. You'll find just enough food/staples to possibly avoid driving to the ghetto-food vendor now called Ralphs. Unless I'm desperate, I'll take Jay's over Ralph's any day. read more

Please fix your dairy cooler. It's def not at the proper temperature . I've bought spoiled cream here twice and went today and the cooler was not cold. Also your middle aisle prices are 30-50% more than Ralphs. That's wild. I get the idea of smaller market = larger prices but your pricing is STUNNING. read more

I want you to know that I am harassed as well as discriminated against EVERY TIME I ATTEMPT TO SHOP AT YOUR MARKET. I am a working professional African American woman. I frequently stop at the store on Pico on my way home from work to purchase items to prepare for dinner. I select thus store because of it's proximity and it's size, the store is small which enables me to make my selections qui kly. I am followed by security on each visit. Last night the manager stood in front of the register and watched me pay for my items. I do not conduct myself in a manner that would justify this level of disrespect. My grocery store of choice when I'm on the run. Especially holidays. A quick in and out. Fresh produce. Caters to Latin community. I like the meat deli. You sometimes need that 1/2 lb. extra that the pre package doesn't have. Or if you're like me, I like to choose what piece of meat I want. Things like toilet paper and dog food are a bit pricier. But I come here because again, I like the deli, produce is 99% of the time fresh. And parking is always available. They also have a liquor dept. Eggs are always cheap here. This grocery store has been around for a good while i sometimes come here from time to time because they have all the meats you need and like average price like any other brand name grocery store nothing special, however the less two points is because they have the worst customer service ever the specially the cashiers that act like if they are the owner if the store they are solo rude and they don't even say a "hi" or put a smile on their faces to greet the customers is like our presences bother them if you Jays' cashiers aren't happy with ur jobs then look for another job that really make u happy this isn't for U. I like this place primarily because it's so cheap. I recommend it if you're on a budget but still looking for fruits and veggies that are ready to eat. The have a deli. A large beer and liquor selection. And Of course, they also have an array of latin American products to choose from. Oh. Worst experience ever. I tried sending money to Mexico and the lady working there sent it to the wrong bank in Mexico. Then I went back and the other lady told me it was to another bank then my family couldn't recover the money in Mexico cause there was a hold. Then they rejected my money in Mexico.
