OK, so here's the deal. It's a nice venue quite cozy more intimate than the larger one, but the customer service really sucked. I had to ask for my bill six times and it was wrong and then the waitress copped an attitude and was rude the rest of the night Because I did not tip because they already included an 18% tip on my bill for just me that's absolutely ridiculous. The comedy was good. The parking street parking so that can be a pain in the butt as for the food it's hit or miss. I mean it's all fried food so Nothing exceptional or unique. It's just basic bar. Oh let's address the drinks as well. Don't order no fruity pretty Fūfu drinks because they're overpriced and will be watered down if you wanna drink go for a straight shot.

It was my first time there watching a country show with great bands! I really came to see Joel Gibson Jr., but I was pleasantly surprised by Hell on Heels! Wow! it's a pretty cool place, it's very small but it's laid out the best it can be. I don't know what vibe they're looking for maybe sort of an alley bar look or what but I wish the bathrooms were at least nicer the place is very cold and very dark which is OK when you have a show going on but it is so loud you can't really talk, but it is what it is, a music venue. I will say I'm going up to the bar to get a drink was pretty easy considering how packed it was in there, and the staff behind the bar were extremely kind! The customer service was excellent, and the drinks were great too. I do wish they carried bloody Mary's she said they did not which is a bummer. Would make for a good Michelada! The front door they have like a bouncer guy or two and they kind of make you stand out front longer than necessary before they let you in the door which is kind of weird. It was freezing cold, rainy, and extremely windy and they just took their time letting one in at a time almost . All in all I will be back it was a great show, and great service. I just will bring a warmer jacket, and deal with the shotty bathroom stalls!

I haven't been to this location for years. But decided to go to see a band that I love. We decided to eat before we came just because I thought it might be a little bit busy as they opened at seven p m and the music starts at eight. That said, the kitchen would be very busy early on, and it might take a long time to get any grub. So this is not a review on the food but the venue itself. There is a lot of great seating, with several levels and floors, and most have a pretty decent view of the stage. There's a very large dance floor and a bar up and downstairs, which makes it very convenient. We ordered a full bottle of wine and could cork it and take it home after the show. This just stopped too many lineups at the bar. We sat upstairs and in the highest section with great seating and view. The sound was not the best, At first, I thought it was the band that opened thinking that they might not have the best sound, but the main headliner also sounded kind of terrible. I'm not sure if the venue does the sound or if the act bring their own sound people but it must be a tough place to get the sound right because it was not anything to write home about. We still enjoyed the show. Got a little dancing in and have a great time.

    Menu!!

Went last night to watch a Beatles tribute band. We always go early to enjoy dinner there as they have always had a great selection of food items. Well to our disappointment ownership has changed and the food items were basically quick fried foods(photo of menu attached). We chose the mozzarella sticks as what can go wrong with that, well they were not served with any sauce so we asked for marinara sauce and were given ketchup!! We again ask for marinara sauce not ketchup and we're given some type of salsa, we gave up on asking for marinara! Also the cheese was cold inside! The plus to the evening was seeing the previous owner Rachel and the bartender Denise there, they both are great! We did meet the new owner Keanu and expressed our disappointment of the food choices, hopefully it'll change but until then we'll continue to watch the bands but will eat elsewhere before hand!!

There is always plenty of seating (metal chairs brought in) the two times we came here for events like this. There is some seating to the side against the wall too. But for a concert? Forget any kind of seating. While there is still seats against the wall they are quickly taken and you aren't likely to see who is performing on the stage anyway so you will need to stand. And there have been venues I have been to where there isn't any seating... and usually it's dive bars. Though the Spanish Ballroom isn't a dive bar. Lol! So wear good shoes. The concert I did go to the stage and acoustics weren't bad so it's a good place to do concerts aside from those who want to sit. Overall I like this place that is part of the Elks Temple... and it adds to this location as being one of my favorite McMenamins locations I have been to.

A beautiful venue!…read more Even though we were at a dance party with a live band and the interior was mostly dark concert lighting, one could still see the beautiful columns and light fixtures throughout the ballroom were gorgeous. We were all dressed up for Halloween and the band was playing a wide range of spooky hit music and there were a lot of very cool costumes everywhere. People's creativity really shined at this event. The floor was super sticky which prevented me from doing my version of the Moonwalk dancing but there was plenty of room to move. There were lots of water jugs available for hydration for everyone in their hot costumes and great bar service. We had a good time and I would love to come back for their daily tour of this Spanish Ballroom with the lights on!

First he started making it under the counter, which I don't like, then it had a few inches left, he put a lime on the rim and moved the glass. I thought to put more ice in. Then he started adding something from the gun into it. I said mid-shoot,"what is that???" He told me it was club soda and when I asked WHY??? he didn't flinch and told me that that was a lot of redbull. I'm sorry, when did bartenders start making decisions for people, let alone without asking them???? I'm flabbergasted. Guessing this is his first gig as a tender. But still. WTAF???? Then! Came over to offer us menus. Took them to see if anything had changed, more of an opportunity to go back up to the bar. Friend asked for an NA, he said he would look for a domestic but kept trying to sell him on IPAs after he said no thanks on those. He comes over asking how we are doing, offers a refill of water. Comes back with club soda, turned around after a bit and said oh hey I think that's club soda. I said yeah, he interrupts me to say well it's just water with bubbles in it. Like we are idiots and should just keep it. We both said he can't do it, throat cancer, etc. so he acquiesces. So weird. I decide to order one more just to see what happens cuz at this point I wonder if I'm on a hidden camera show. I'll have one more please Ok, what was it? Vodka redbull tall Then he throws out my seasoned ice and straw Brings it over to me and says see? It's just a lot of redbull. It doesn't fill it up all the way. It's like it needs more ice. I said yeah that's why I ask for extra ice. I like it. Then he put more ice into it. Till it overflowed. I will never forget this

When I saw that Pauly was coming I couldn't believe it , but in my excitement I booked the wrong day. However the amazing staff rebooked Frank B to the correct day, THANK YOU! Don't was day of show and I showed early, they placed me dead center about 6ft from the man himself.... Ordered a tasty beverage from the bar and appetizer per the contract of the ticket... Now the food wasn't bad so if you're hungry make sure you grab a bite. The stage is very small but who cares it's enough for the comedian to pass around. Everything is perfect for the stage view whether you're up front or at the bar... I had a blast and will be back for a chuckle soon..

I was a bit nervous with some of the recent negative reviews but I'm happy to say that I didn't have a bad experience at the Tacoma Comedy Club at all! When we entered, we were greeted by staff who explained how everything worked which I appreciated as they do mention the same information online but it is a good refresher. We were also given a card with our seat numbers on it which was interesting as I thought it was a first come first serve situation. They were doing happy hour when we arrived and we decided to get their 2 for $15 appetizers which we got the boneless wings with lemon pepper and pretzel bites with cheese. Happy hour orders do not count for their two item minimum, but we're fine with that as we arrived pretty early as we were pretty hungry. The food didn't take too long to arrive and it was delicious. I'm not really into boneless chicken as I just have had some bad ones but the ones here are tender and juicy and the lemon pepper rub was great! I'm sad that the veggies don't come with the happy hour order and I also was told that they don't come with veggies by the cashier, which was odd. The pretzel bites were also really good and the cheese dip that came with it was fantastic! As others arrived an employee asked us for the card and escorted us to our table, however as he was explaining the rules it was extremely hard to hear him due to the music. I do think they should turn it down a little or speak up as I didn't catch a single thing he said. I did have one issue as both the people we were seated with and the people in front of us were talking a lot and we didn't know how to let someone know as they were talking every so often during the show. But I didn't know how to report that, especially if they are sitting right behind us. Anyways, for our two item minimum I got the Cinderella and lemonade while my boyfriend got the lavender lemonade spritz and the dessert pretzels. The drinks were made to perfection and the flavors all shined through. The dessert pretzels were pretty good too! I also love that at the end, you can meet with the comedian and take a picture as I was not aware they offered that, so that was a nice surprise. My boyfriend and I look forward to stopping by here for a future comedy date night as we had a really fun time.

I reserved a table (for a large party of 9) conveniently on Open Table which made the process easy and effortless two days prior to our reservation. On the day of our reservation I received a call from a very friendly staff member Jace (forgive my spelling if it's incorrect) who confirmed our reservation and also asked if we had kids in our party because of the age restriction for the outside seating. I thought that was very considerate of him to do so as he was being proactive and courteous at the same time! When I checked in, I immediately was greeted by Jace who was beyond welcoming in person as he was on the phone. He guided us to our table and made us all feel welcome. We then were presented with our hardworking and endearing Server Kat who was so patient with all of us, was proactive in setting up plates for our Birthday cake (we had brought with us - as we were granted with permission by the restaurant). Throughout our experience, Kat took care of our needs, fulfilled our delicious food orders with accuracy, and the other hardworking Server Ethan also ensured our drinks were filled. Seriously, the Employees are what made our celebratory Birthday even more special!! And also, our the wonderful Manager Brandon made sure we were all taken care of and even personally said goodbye as he walked with us out the door!
