I deleted the first after being assured by SMC staff that the problems would be resolved. Well, fool me once... The delivery driver, has developed what feels like, a personal issue with my complaints. Because the food items are now either being overstuffed in the cooler or delivery box. Food is becoming thawed due to the lack of attention to detail by the delivery driver. I'm no longer using this company and I would suggest searching for better service providers.

First pig was done we went to pick up at 4:45 (close at 5) got the 3rd degree about coming right before closing time but they did get it out of the multiple walk-ins. Loaded and gone before five. 2 days later my good friend calls about delivering 2 more pigs to be butchered that had been scheduled for months and was told he canceled his appointments and couldn't get another date till October 2021. Rude is the only word I can think of. Luckily another local butcher can get them in in 2 weeks. Never again.

Today on Facebook I saw they had a $25 CSA box that came with huge carrots, oranges, butter lettuce, mushroom carton, apples and a chicken pot pie! I thought it was a great deal. The CSA is available from Friday-Sunday and you pay first and then collect the produce outside in your own bag/box. The market also had some baked items, frozen meats and jarred goods available. I highly recommend the farm animal cupcakes with the cutest faces and the creamiest frosting!

My family and I purchased our tickets in advance and we saved $3 vs. purchasing at the door. Check-in was a long line but it was moving rather well. Once in, you are given instructions on how to pick the tulips. Your ticket includes 6 tulips and then each additional stem $1 and each additional bulb is $1. The weather was AMAZING and there were so many cute photo ops in the field. This is a very family friendly place, including infants and babies! After we picked our tulips, we sat around to take in the view. When we were ready to check out, there were stations to trim the ends and take the tulips in a water cup. The property this weekend had music, cidery, farm animals, and other cute fun barn games for kids. I highly recommend you to check out the farm!

We ended up picking a basket of our own strawberries. The lady who rang us up in the market and explained the process was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who drove the tractor to and from the field did a great job explaining the picking process and which strawberries to pick or not to pick. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to take the tractor to and from. Afterwards we visited the petting zoo and fed the animals two bags of food which we purchased from the market. They were sooo cute! The one goat was so funny and his name should be "Shadow" since he followed us around the whole time! He can be seen in our pic feeding the duck. He was so funny! The animals were all friendly and super cute to hang out with for a bit. Feeding the goats up on the structure via conveyorbelt was so fun and entertaining! I highly recommend visiting and plan to be back in a couple months to pick peaches and nectarines!

I've been coming to Hillside since my dentist (a local who worked there as a kid, many, many years ago) recommended them. My Thanksgiving tradition involves picking up a fresh bird a few days before The Big Day after standing in line in the cold/rain/snow waiting to get in the store. Besides turkey (whole, breasts, parts; raw and smoked; sausage and broth and other finished products) they also offer chicken, duck, pork and beef. You can find cheaper (frozen) birds at big box groceries, but you will never find a better bird. Hillside has limited hours so check out their website before making the trek from wherever you are. Trust me, it'll be worth it!

We could see some lambs in an adjacent barn and it appeared there were numerous farm animals about, my thought ran to upcoming spring and summer and how much the children would enjoy this place. The store is small and a bit cramped, but we were hit with wonderful aromas on entering- homemade herbal soaps, freshly baked cookies, pies, cobblers and pasta. A refrigerator held a variety of local cheeses, fresh eggs, farm fresh milk and cream, and a freezer held the good stuff- bacon, farm-raised beef, hot dogs, sausages, and jerky. Oh how I love jerky. Children in the market were negotiating for different flavors of frozen custard that looked great. The lovely lady at the counter explained that the owner sends farm-raised meats to the butcher, and that a family pack type order could be placed. The jerky must have been processed by a place in PA per the label- it was fabulous. Thin and dry and perfectly seasoned, I at least got it home and defrosted before I devoured it. I also picked up some summmer sausage- have not tried it yet, but the smell is tantalizing and I'm looking forward to slicing some with some of the horseradish cheddar, some crackers and something to drizzle the honey over- yes, local honey. Wow. I may just eat it out of the jar, it is that good. Not much local produce- there is none yet, but I am looking forward to stopping back by later in the season, with the children- and the camera!.

It was our first time at England Acres and it is absolutely beautiful farmland! We met Judy and Hannah. Hannah took us over to the barn and picked up one of the lamb and let my daughter hold him. My daughter was so excited! We headed back inside and picked up eggs, bacon, lamb, steaks, and chicken. Nothing beats grass farm fresh food that comes from a place that is right down the street and where the animals have been very well taken care of. Don't get me wrong, it's pricey, but it's worth every penny to support a local farm, for the flavor of the food, and for your health!

This place was quite large. There's a dedicated parking area on rocks. There's a porta potty at the parking area. You follow the signs to the office or gift shop and you state your name that registered online and you get a container of food and you can roam the cages. Each caged area is for specific sets of alpacas and you can get to the outside through each gated area. The alpacas are friendly - some a super needy - and some just want to rest. It really depends on the time frame for each one. You can touch and feed. Some really get in your face. I was trying to kneel down to take photos and the alpacas start walking towards me. The staff is constantly taking care of them and cleaning after their... Open bathroom use. There's games and seating everywhere. It is well organized here and well maintained. The people here are nice and I got what I wanted from visiting here. Seeing tons of alpacas. There are not just 10 alpacas, there's probably around 35-60 and they are all spread out, some inside and some outside grazing and eating grass. Very humane conditions for the alpacas. You can see a horse outside too and a Shepard dog as well.

The staff was warm, welcoming, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. It's the perfect farm setting with a gorgeous green backdrop to spend time with family, friends, or even for a date day or night. The scenic drive there was the icing on the cake!
