I chose for the sugar to be adjusted to 80% sugar and the ticket/label on the cup read 50%. Weird. Would've preferred more boba but the taro flavor and sweetness was solid. 4/5 popcorn chicken that you can season yourself. Generous portion overflowing the container. Chicken was hot and crispy. 2.5/5 cheese sticks. Did not care for the flavor or breading on these. Service was great, super friendly. Seemed family owned. Grabbed it to go, but waited inside and it was warm and muggy. Felt like the AC was at 80 so not very comfortable at all. My food was good and I got 2 drinks and 2 apps for $30 which felt reasonable. Back in my highschool days, this place was THE best spot for drinks and snacks especially during the summer. Nowadays, it is barely packed and I can tell that the new skyrocketed prices and decrease in product quality contributed to their vacancy. None of their drinks taste the same, their popcorn chicken (my personal favorite) does not hit as hard as it used too and the amount they gave does not closely compare to back then. I was traveling through town and got the name of this place because of a nail shop that I had gone to. First the signage is hard to see. secondly I ordered a strawberry tea with Boba in it and there was no Boba. If you order any food, there's no sauce or very little condiment choices. There's not even salt available ordered chicken, wings, and fries and they were hot, but they offered nothing to go with them, so it was just plain. It was also very chaotic with the staff. Someone had pre-ordered before me on the app and had waited 20 minutes for a tea. I like how the decorations are filled with anime related art which gives personality to this boba shop. I got the jasmine milk tea and it was above average. I love the milk that they use since it's really creamy. The only downside is that the tea felt like it was watered down. I also got two of my favorite snacks, the fried tofu and fried flour bun! This is an updated review. I'm here pretty frequently with either the mini me, or the other little's in the family. We've always enjoyed the variety of food offerings from the mozzarella sticks to my favorite basil chicken pieces. The chicken is absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and while it is a shareable, you will want your own. I will say that the serving size has absolutely been decreased, and they no longer offer a complementary dipping sauce to go with the chicken. Now, they want to charge for it. #Ridiculous. Service has gone down exponentially, the staff is not as friendly as they used to be, and they've had a high turnover of staff, which adds to the quality of service. Indoor seating is still not permitted, and people are hanging around, waiting for their orders. Depending on the time of day that you're there, especially later in the afternoon, the place is usually packed with the local high school students. The increase in pricing is tough for everyone, but their prices have gone up so much, that this has become more of an occasional treat, versus a go to place with the kiddos. The bubble drinks are consistent, so there's that. But with so many Boba places in and around the area, better deals are definitely found elsewhere. read more

Been to a handful of T4's from The Bay Area to Sacramento. This specific T4 location is probably the cleanest and most organized one I've visited. Also, the workers are genuinely nice and very efficient. My iced taro boba was not overly sweet and they actually make the drinks accordingly to the sweetness level listed. What is up with the THAI TEA?! The only boba shop whose regular THAI TEA is pure sugar! Believe me, I have a sweet tooth and this was beyond my ability to enjoy a sweet drink. I shouldn't have to decrease the sugar when I order the standard "as is" version. It should NOT be that sweet. I was told that the standard version is super sweet like that. T4 is our go to spot for popcorn chicken. It is simply the best! Always hot, meaty, and flavorful. I wish they'd add a tad more basil, but otherwise, delish! The drinks are good also. I prefer their fruity slush over their milk tea, which I've had in the past and was not a fan of. The flavors we got today was good, except I was surprised how slush-like the Passionfruit Milkshake was. Since it was a milkshake, I expected it to be more milk based, but it was more icy than milky. The workers here have been so sweet every time I come in. On my latest visit, I realized that the drink I've been wanting to order, the Grass Jelly Explosion, is only available at a different T4 location. Despite this, the person helping me was a sweetheart and offered to try to make me something similar if I can describe what it was. My earl Grey milk tea with boba was not bad. My husband's strawberry milkshake was just okay...tasted fake. I thought they are priced high for the location (boba is not included in any of the items on the menu). Their iPad also basically demands you to tip (they don't have "no tip" icon). The service is efficient and usually polite, but sometimes the girls behind the counters like to joke with each other. My fav boba spot in Natomas. If it's your first time, I'd definitely recommend the Jasmine Milk Tea @ 80% sweet. It's mild but kicks in that OG milk tea flavor that you're expecting. If you're a bit more daring, I'd definitely get the Earl Grey Milk Tea. At first it's a bit off-putting if you're not used to it, but the intensity of the flavor is what matters. The sweetness ratio is the best part. Get 80% sweet then let the ice balance it out. If you're bored of the 'toosimple' milk tea varieties, I would get the Rose Milk Tea, it has this strange but works flavor that I think most people would like. I wouldn't recommend getting wintermelon milk tea here, I think it's a tad watered down and not concentrated. For food, I've only ever gotten the egg puffs and popcorn chicken. I think they're pretty consistent. Egg puffs get soggy quick though, very vanilla-ey. They roll out orders pretty slow but at least they are consistent and make them right. read more

A fan of T4U! Sad the Elk Grove location closed. I keep meaning to stop by the midtown one and here more often. Technically the closest boba place to me is either the Quickly in the Safeway center on Del Paso or Tapioca Express on Arena, but popped into T4 for some boba after lunch at Sushi Elite with Rach and her littleses. Seemed full on a Friday afternoon, possibly students from Inderkum or ARC? She got a large milk tea with boba and an egg puff for the tots to share. Since we had just eaten lunch, I went conservative and got a regular sized taro pearl milk tea. My boba tastes change every visit but rotate between Jasmine milk tea, Taro milk tea, Okinawa or Hokkaido style with egg pudding, and sometimes I sub rainbow jelly for boba. Occasionally the darn sweet tooth wins out and I find myself with a chocolate oreo tiramisu-esque concoction or I go gimmicky (e.g. "potted plant" boba, salted cream/cheese boba). Few places have cho-taro (chocolate taro) which is another weakness of mine. No stranger to the savory snacks here from previous visits -- the basil popcorn chicken is the way to go. I also like the curry fishballs and egg puffs. Vampire Penguin used to do flavored egg puffs/waffles like Oreo or red velvet and I do so miss those but the classic flavor still delivers.
