My sisters and I had the pleasure of finding this little shop in the neighborhood in North Sacramento. Who would have thought Bella's Boba Shop comes with more than just drinks. This shop serves sushi, papaya and more. I ordered their YP's Fire Roll and it was delicious! It has the perfect spice and flavor. I definitely recommend this shop for your quick fix and boba drinks.

Everything that we tried from the Papaya Salad, to the dried mango and the sushi was exquisite and delicious The papaya salad had a nice kick to it with small pieces of fresh tamarind. It was nice and refreshing! The drinks are perfect at regular sweetness so if your like me and don't like too sweet you'll enjoy the drinks. I can't have sushi but my wife said the sushi is extremely fresh and delicious and I like the change in pace of the green tobiko. She said the sushi was comparable to sushi you'd have a Japanese restaurant. The service is very good and all the workers are very nice. The inside has a homey feel and there is plenty of seating. The inside is bright and has a nice relaxing vibe. Great place to come eat and chat with friends. I will definitely be back soon because the jerky was sold out for the day but I'm so excited to try it next time I come in! If you haven't been here yet , come try this Sacramento gem!

Delicious and beautiful presentation of the drinks and Sushi roll. I recommend this Boba Shop to everyone.

    Coconut smoothie with boba

1st experience on 9/17/24 at 4:23pm: Cute, small place. Nice staff. We got a Watermelon milk tea with boba and a Coconut smoothie with boba. Both are ok, taste wise. First sip was ok. But it tasted kinda watered down. However, I like how they also sell some other items (ice cream, macaroons, papaya, etc.) I think they also sell a bag of chilli oil, which was really interesting. Overall, it was a good experience so far.

Delicious! Might be my new favorite Sacramento sushi spot…read more Lunch set with kaisendon was a bit redundant because I also got the chef selection 18 piece sashimi which was much better. My partner and I each got a lunch set. Salad was great and so were the croquette and corn chawanmushi. Galbi was a little fatty but still good. Soft shell crab was too much crunch. Miso soup was nice and had mini scallops except the first scallop was still cold inside (I guess it was freshly put in and not overcooked). Service was good and only two other tables present. I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

Before that, I remember when this spot used to be Tasty House. Small parking lot shared with a smog station off of Stockton Blvd between Fleming and Chandler/66th, a block south of Florin. Super small dining room capacity too, I'd say maybe less than 50 people? I've also tried their pork katsu appetizer and caramel matcha with salted cheese cream. This most recent visit, I was torn between the katsu or katsu curry donburis, but ultimately went with the tamagoyaki unagi don and a caramel milk tea. Shared the chicken karaage which was perfectly breaded, crispy, thick and juicy with every bite just like last time. Honey mustard dipping sauce on the side. Also shared one sushi taco (this time salmon/sake) and Mom got the beef gyudon. Other than matcha or milk tea, they also have seasonal drinks like guava, butterfly tea, ube, peach oolong, Japanese coffee, etc. Next time might go for a ramen to try or that rich curry udon dish. I will also say a sushi taco is easier to eat than a handroll or a sushi burrito. The wooden spoons were interesting for the rice bowls. The portions are pretty big and this cute little spot in South Sac is worth checking out! Open 11:30am-9pm daily.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.
