I got a recommendation for Fix it Fast from an acquaintance, and I'm SO GLAD I took her advice. I can't say enough how enjoyable (a word I never thought I'd use in the context of car repair) my experience was. Becky was exceptionally nice on the phone and in person. They were able to figure out the issue with my breaks and do the other upkeep things I needed quickly, and for much less than I was expecting to pay. I would definitely recommend Becky and Jesse to anyone in the area looking for a small, local auto shop that does exceptional work.

This is the first time I'm writing a review for a place even though I didn't actually have any…read morerepair work done yet! These are HONEST and caring people- possibly the most important qualities in an auto-body shop. We were referred here by a friend to deal with a possible transmission issue in a 4-year old Toyota. Needless to say, we were FREAKING OUT about the possible costs for the repair. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement!! Before we came in, they "ballparked" an estimate between a few hundred dollars to ~$2500 (worst case scenario). So, my husband dropped the car off and they gave him a ride to work. The mechanic took at look at the transmission, confirmed there was some play and that we needed a new torque converter. The new estimate was now ~$4100 (which nearly killed me!!) because of the extent of work that would be needed. BUT, the shop called over to Toyota and learned that the converter was actually covered under an expanded warranty that I knew NOTHING about (yea, thanks Toyota for not telling anyone about this...). Fix it Fast actually recommended that we take it there and deal with them to get this replacement part under warranty and any other work needed done. They even wrote a summary of their observations so we had it specifically to speak to the mechanics at Toyota about. And the cost for all of this work? ZERO DOLLARS!! I literally couldn't believe it. This shop took the time to speak to us on the phone (repeatedly), to drive my husband to and from work so we could leave the car, to do the assessment of the repairs needed and write it up and charged us nothing. I often find myself telling people that customer service means more to me than most things and this place absolutely demonstrated how excellent customer care makes loyal clients. I will be back for all of my future car needs without a doubt and will be telling everyone I know that there's honest and reputable people here. Thank you!!

My wife and I found ourselves push-starting our Vanagon while on vacation. We were planning on…read moreheading through New York and didn't want to deal with the hassle of ensuring enough space and parking on a hill. We called dozens of shops that wouldn't work on such a special vehicle or were booked out 3 weeks. My wife found Kevin's info and gave him a call. We were several hours away. He said to come on in and he'd get us up and running as quickly as possible. We pulled in to his lot which is like a hospital for Vanagons and old VWs - a really cool lot that is worth a stop even if you don't need work. It was late when we arrived, but Kevin waited for us and did an initial triage of our issues while the music was kicking out of his garage. He showed us the bathroom and gave us a plug to plug-in while we camped in his lot. He then drove us to the train station and gave us some recommendations for something to do in Center City. The next day, he did a full diagnosis and even let me get as dirty as I wanted observing. He allows you to be as hands-off or hands-on as you like, and will explain every step if you ask him to. It was diagnosed as a starter solenoid and he ran it down the street to the reconditioning shop. While we were there, he recommended another small upgrade (electronic ignition). Our home shop recommended this as well, and also mentioned a brand. Kevin uses the same brand, which gave us the confidence to go ahead and do it. After getting some quotes for additional work, we decided that we might as well have Kevin and his team do it as well. The cost and quality were unbeatable, and he's unfortunately 9 hours out of our normal area, so now was as good a time as any. After performing the work, he went on a test drive with us and asked us if things felt better, worse, or the same. I really liked this part - his desire is to make you happy and he wants to make sure he's made a notable impact. He made some recommendations for future work I can try myself and how to get the most bang for my buck with upgrades. He also offered himself as a resource in the future that we could reach out to. Next time we're in town, we're going to get dinner with him just because he's such a great guy. This is the mechanic you're looking for. He knows EVERYTHING about these vans (and vintage VWs in general). He's trustworthy, honest, fair, accurate, warm, and fun. Go see Kevin!

Honestly, I would say the pumps are working around 70% of the time which is baffling. I went today to an awesome "pump stopped" message on all the pumps, what a surprise! Of course I was on E. One of the employees enjoyed watching me pull up and try to figure out what was going on, didn't say a word. Secondly, you can't use your card on transactions under 10$? So if you try and pick up a pack of smokes you NEED cash. It pisses me off when business are this cheap and cut corners like this. To top it off, highest gas prices in Delaware County!
