I called around the local area and found out about Precision from several parts places. I then…read morecalled Precision and spoke with Matt. I told him about the problem with our dryer. He said he might have the part on the shelf but if not would order it & may take 2-3 days for it to arrive. He called back a couple hours later apologized & said he had to order the part. 2 days later he had the part and came to the house to fix it. He was on time and had the machine fixed and running as good as new. I highly recommend this company & Matt. He was very professional in his dealings with us, up front about how much it would cost and stuck with his estimate.

I just recently moved back to Redmond, Or. and needed to find someone to repair my dryer that had…read morestopped working. I wanted to support the local guys and I ended up finding Precision Appliance (based out of Redmond). I called Matt (One of the owners) and we talked for a bit and figured out what the problem might be. He and his brother ended coming out to my house a couple of days later. Here is where the problems began. They show up to my house and from the moment I answered the door to the time they left, they both acted like they did not want to be here. They were unfriendly, did not communicate well with what they were doing and made me feel uncomfortable, like I was being a burden to them with having them come out. They originally told me it would be around $100, $70 for the service call to even come out and $30 for parts and labor. My dryer is only 3 years old and after a while of them figuring out the issue, they tell me that the problem is one of the most expensive things to fix/replace. My new balance was now $200. They said they would order it the next business day and could come back a week later when the part would have shown up. We cautiously agreed as we were taken back by how the long the extra wait would be. Also, as they were leaving, I asked them if they were having a bad day or something (to see if this is how they normally act and treat their customers) and he responded that he just wanted to go home and have a beer and tried to "play off" their bad attitudes. After they left, my husband researched how much the part costs and how hard it would be to replace. He found the part online for only $70 dollars and also found that it takes less than 5 minutes to replace. They were going to charge us $60 in labor?! This was outrageous, so my husband ordered the part and fixed it himself. We ended up calling Matt at Precision Appliance to let them know that we appreciated their time, but we would like them to not order the part and that we not too pleased with how they acted while they were here. I received a call back from him a short while later and in his voicemail, he said I could pay by cash, check or card. HE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE OR TRY TO KEEP OUR BUINESS. The next day I get a call from Matt while I'm at work, asking for me to pay for their services. I told him that I would pay by cash when I got off of work that day. After work (3pm) I called him to see where I could meet him to pay. He never called me back. Instead, he sends his mother to our house, unannounced after 5pm (after business hours) with his 2 little kids to collect the $70. I had just left the house and just my husband was there. He was taken off guard and was forced into writing them a check. I called Matt right away and told him how I thought this was unprofessional and rude. I specifically told him I had cash to give him. I am very disappointed that Precision Appliance made no effort to try and rectify this situation. I want others to be advised so they do not have to deal with what I had to.

I first "met" Al on the phone in 2019 when looking for someone to repair a failing refrigerator. Al…read morelistened to me while I gave him a detailed "Gone With the Wind" description regarding my ten year old Frigidaire with a freezer compartment maintaining the 40-degree temperature while the fridge compartment was sustaining roughly room temperature. When I finished the story, Al suggested a couple people that are fridge experts, and he then said that he is actually a Washer-Dryer specialist. I thanked Al for the suggestions, and told him I was so appreciative, that if I have a problem with my washer and/or dryer, he would be the first call I would make. All that based on his super high ratings. Well, here it is, about five years later (I got a new fridge to replace the other one in 2022... nothing was delivering during the peak COVID years), and my washer kept giving me F- 11 faults. I leaped for the phone and called Al. and got scheduled and he did a great job - especially with my old washer which is very limited in parts still being available. The washer (a Kenmore a.k.a. Whirlpool) started humming again rather than driving me nuts going into a "fault" mode for the five years mentioned earlier. Not longer than that, my dryer motor gave up the ghost, and this time, Al found a good-condition used motor, and viola, it ran again. When I knew the system was back running again, I told Al that if one of them kicks the bucket, I'll give him them so he can refurbish them and I'll get myself a new one. I dread the day that happens because I'm not a fan of artificial intelligence. Watch a re-run of "2001, Space Odyssey" and check out Hal 9000 again for a refresher of what is coming up in the world. I am not sure about all the digital gobble de-goop coming up. I only can think how difficult it will be when Mr. Al Harris is not around to reboot Hal 9000's broken A.I.-infested equipment while he still can make the antique ones quietly humming along. Al is a legend indeed. A rare man and worthy of all these five star reviews.

My daughter contacted him after a few months to check on the handle as she had never heard back from him. He stated he had forgotten and would get it ordered. She also mentioned that it seemed to take longer than expected to dry a load. He said when he brought the handle he would look at it. It is now mid January and he has not brought the handle, looked at why it takes long to dry or contacted her about the delay. Very disappointing and frustrating especially with the 6 month guarantee running out.

I had a terrible experience with Polished Appliance. Communication is essentially nonexistent. They…read moredon't answer their phones, don't follow up after leaving messages and leave you completely in the dark. Everything is done by email-when they decide they want to follow up. Technicians spend very little time on-site and seem to provide inaccurate or incomplete information. The technician was at my home but made errors with the paperwork, which resulted in my work order being incorrectly closed. I then had to go through the owner to have it reopened, which was incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. After months of frustration and no resolution, I had to bring in another local appliance company, who quickly diagnosed and properly fixed the issue. Polished Appliance was a complete waste of time. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable or professional service. I would strongly recommend running from this inept company and save yourself the frustration.
