AWFUL place! Do NOT go here. On one occasion my mother was served raw chicken (it was still even pink in the inside), the staff hardly cared at all. We also paid for the bowling special for two hours and the staff started cleaning around us like we didn't even exist when we still had a half an hour left! If we would have known we wouldn't get the full two hours, we would have just paid for two games and left! Security and rest of the staff were so rude, and what you read about the music in previous reviews is definitely true. It's not a place for kids, and with a full bar who really expects it to be..but it's also not any sort of place I want to spend my time in, everybody is just REALLY rude there, and I grew up with this bowling alley when it had it's previous name. read more

We recently had our daughter's 7th birthday party at JB's on 41. The kids LOVED the "glow in the dark" bowling (on the Suite 41 side), as well as the party time (with pizza) and the arcade game time. Our party assistant, Teresa, was very attentive and helpful with keeping the party moving and attending to any requests. A few short years ago I decided to sign my older son up for a junior bowling league thinking he might like it. My first impressions back then with JB's was great customer service, and an overly fun place you can spend a lot of time. I can confirm now that this is one of my favorite establishment in southeastern Wisconsin to hang out. First, my son still bowls here, and recently I started bowling in a league as well. That being said, the people that work here are all super friendly that remembers names and are always looking like they truly enjoying there jobs which I know they do. Those same people are also wanting you to have a good time and go out of there way to make that happen. The food and bar are excellent. the bar and the way it is set up makes it very easy to get food and drink while you bowl but at the same time if you are in the bar area makes it feel like your not at a bowling alley. JB's also has one excellent game area that my kids and I enjoy playing. Me being like a kid, I've spent my fair share of money trying to earn my kids a new set of headphones with tickets and have had a blast doing so. For those of you that like something a little different, JB's also offers a fun moonlight type bowling all day long that is separated from the regular bowling alley. In that area, there are big screen TV's at the end of the alleys and a cool laser light show going on. It really is a cool area to bowl in. During a year, JB's also has other really neat things going on, for example they had 2hrs of bowling and a pancake breakfast one day. People came in the PJ's and bowled while they ate breakfast; they also do various fundraisers for good causes. I could go on, but all you need to do is stop in, grab a ball a play a few games and you will see what I mean. Thank you JB's for making this one of my families favorite places to be. read more

This place may have remodeled but its still ghetto. We paid 15.00 a person for a terrible night. Don't believe their adds. Unless you pay extra for their "suite" you get no music, no lights off, and broken lanes. When I talked to the "manager" on duty he was about 15 yrs old. Condenscensing, rude, and basically didn't care at all. Our lanes continued not to work and he literally hid from us. Told us we could leave. Refused to give us our money back. Ill never set foot in this place again. They DO NOT accurately advertise their prices for bowling obviously to STEAL from people. They advertise $3.49 per game or $9.50 for three games. They do not, however, specify if this price is for 1 person or 2, 3 ect... The young lady at the counter should have cleared this up when I said I wanted the 3 game special for myself and my 2 daughters. Obviously, I did not understand the "special" when she tried to charge me nearly $50.00 for shoes and the games. I refused that and said I wanted the 3 game special, again. So she re-rang us up and the bill was still over $26.00. PISS POOR customer service, the game room rips you off by not allowing you to return any unused tokens. The food is overpriced for a bowling alley and the bartenders couldnt mix a proper Jack n coke if their lives depended on it. I remember Olympic lanes when I was young and could spend an afternoon there with a pocket full of quarters and leave content. They had fun games and the crowd wasnt so ghetto. My wife and I have had fun at this place before, so we went back on a recent Friday night for the 2-hour bowling special. The first 45 minutes or so went off without issue. Then as the place got more crowded, we realized they were cramming everyone together on the last 10 lanes. We complained to the counter and were told they had a league that night that was taking up all the other lanes. Seriously? This place advertises on its webpage "One of the only bowling centers in Milwaukee with NO LEAGUES Fri, Sat, or Sun." So they're liars. We ended up next to family of 8 or 9 people (mostly kids under 10) who all wanted to stand up by the ball return the entire time. We don't mind bowling next to other people, but at least sit down while you wait your turn. We ended up leaving with 45 minutes left on our session. We'll think long and hard about going back next time. Don't be fooled by their "no leagues on Friday Saturday or Sunday" mantra. It's crap. read more

Well this was my first time at J &B s the experience was less then pleasurable. We stood in line to get our lanes for ten minutes, the lady at the reception desk was very nice and helpful. The bar was a different story though I first stood to get help for an iced tea for 10 minutes. There were two people in front of me but to wait ten minutes to get one drink is unacceptable. I then waited another 15 minutes to get a pitcher of beer. I also went to the bar at 9:15 and by the time I was helped the kitchen was closed . If the one bartender that was on duty can't handle it then there should be more staff on. I understand when a bar gets busy as I am a bartender and a bar and resturant but I still find it very unacceptable to wait that long for simple things like a pitcher of beer. We also played in a dark room with no music . Not what I was expecting from this place very disappointed and will not be back . read more

This place seems to be nice during the day. Dont attend for their version of moonlight bowling. Its terrible. You get nothing for your money but broken lanes, and a bad staff. We waited for 45 min while there were empty lanes. Even tho their website clearly states you get music., we had more dead silence than anything. The manager on duty was a teenager who was rude and did nothing to fix the issues. I will be contacting the GM to get my money back. Whoever left that dufus in charge is ruining his own business by having him represent the place. He should be fired. I have never had such a rude manager speak to me like he did. Take my word for it...do not go here for weekend night bowling. read more

We've held 2 YOLO birthday parties at JBs and both of them were fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful, the pizza and wings were delicious and the bowling was a blast. Recently celebrated a YOLO party @ JB's and it turned out terrific! Staff was accommodating and friendly. The food was prepared fresh and served promptly for optimal freshness. They let us bring in our own b-day cake and let us decorate somewhat. All in all, I'd recommend JB's for a party. I came in a few days ago to bowl with my wife. What a beautiful establishment! We decided to get a drink at the bar before going to bowl. The bartender came over and got us our drinks and was very professional. On our third beer we got up and went to the counter to purchase our games and the woman was extremely helpful. We were going to bowl three games each and she had told me it actually would be cheaper if we bowl by the hour and it was including shoes! Well, needless to say we had a complete blast! We ended getting food which was pretty good especially since its a bowling alley, i was pleasantly surprised. I really liked all the staff, they were all super friendly and just nice people overall. On our third game, our time was about to run out and we were almost done with our game. I had asked the front counter if we could get more time, and she smiled and said, "of course, no problem." As we were leaving I noticed the massive game room, but unfortunately did not have time to stop in there. My wife and I will be back and we will bring our kids to share in the fun that we had on date night! read more

We came to bowl at JB's on a Saturday night which we expected to be busy. We waited about an hour for our lane. It was extremely busy...kids running everywhere...every part of the place was very lively. We first thought it seemed like a fun place. Once we got our lane, however, we had nothing but problems and the fun ended...pins kept randomly falling (and counting as a score), balls weren't being returned, the pins weren't resetting/ gate not going up, the game not starting on the right frame. My husband had to go up to the desk at least 6 times due to the consistent problems. We then were moved to another lane which did not seem to have many issues but my husbands' ball did go MIA at one point. We had paid for 2 hours of bowling and lost a lot of time due to all the issues we had and the move to another alley. My husband had to go and ask for additional time so we could finish the last frame of the game we were on at the end...they gave us 5 extra minutes. We were never offered any kind of compensation for all the hassles we had that were beyond our control. In addition to the bowling alley problems, the first lane we were in was next to a mom with 4 small kids. The second lane we were moved to....the same thing. The children were dancing in the lanes, one child walked right in front of my sister when my sister was in the lane getting ready to bowl....totally no parental supervision in either situation. 3x my husband returned balls to racks because the people on the 1st lane did not do it before they left, and the people next to us in both the lanes we were on did not do so when they left....there were so many balls in the return they were full and we had to get rid of some. The family next to us in the second lane left their garbage and glasses and a spilled beverage on the floor that they didn't bother to have cleaned up. The people on the first lane had not bothered to clean up either though their mess was not as bad but we cleaned up both and called the janitor for the drink spilled on the floor. The music was extremely loud, the lanes were dark making it difficult for us to see well while we were bowling, and most people there did not seem to be there with their main ambition to bowl but to party with their little kids til late in the night. The pluses were that the people who worked there were all nice and the place itself was decent, but if we are ever in the area again we would not be going back because of the lane problems and the environment itself. read more
