I have no affilication to anyone at this establishment or any other, so my review of The Pourhouse is based on nothing but my 8 or so experiences with this bar. I have had great experiences at The Pourhouse. I don't expect a "full menu", as it is basically a sports bar. My servers and bartenders have always taken good care of me. I am normally there alone or with another girlfriend, and we have had no issues with service or food. I like that they allow a taste test of any new beer before purchasing, and they have several nice choices that you won't find around the Hermitage area. I also appreciate the fact that not every or even the majority of the TVs in the place have to be on one sport, like at so many other bars in the area. The bloody mary bar is awesome and available on Saturdays and Sundays. If I wanted a steak dinner or a full meal entree, this would not be where I would go. But for some good bar food, decent beer selection and nice pours on other libations, as well as friendly servers, I'm all in. read more

I've been here multiple times (sometimes for dinner, sometimes just for drinks) and have yet to have a bad experience here. They have a great beer selection and a wonderful variety of food. I've tried their burgers, their appetizers, their wings, a wrap, and their deep fried burrito and all are delicious (thought I would definitely recommend the deep fried burrito the most!). The wait staff here is always great and very attentive, and even on busy nights, the place is large enough that we've never had trouble getting seated. The parking lot seems a bit too small for the place, but we always somehow manage to find a spot. read more

First timer, went for a couple beers and appetizers-- beer, bang bang shrimp and wings were spot on. Server suggested we get the wings naked and sauces on the side. Lots of tvs for sports fans. Not sure of the entrees but for light snacks, couple beers, and a good time this place works. read more

We went last week, so I think a lot of the problems that others have had may have been worked out. My fiance and I both ordered burgers (he got the bacon cheeseburger and I got the turkey burger), and we thought they were delicious! The server checked on us, and the kitchen manager came out to see how we were enjoying everything. We really enjoyed our evening at the Pour House. Enough so, that I joined Yelp to give this review. We went for a happy hour, so my expectations weren't super high. I was very pleasantly surprised. The beer selection was extensive and really well priced. You get used to paying tourist prices downtown and this was a very nice surprise. The service was fantastic! Our waiter really made the night and was very attentive. In fact, the general manager visited us several times as well. The crowd was having a good time and the atmosphere was fun. The food was fairly typical bar food and tasty. All in all a good time time and we'll be back. I think some of the other reviews were unnecessarily harsh and suggest you give the Pour House a try. read more

Living in Hermitage, my wife and I have passed this place multiple times. Today we were in the mood try try a different a different lunch spot, so we ended up at the Pour House. Service was prompt and friendly with a good atmosphere inside. I had a Chilibuger with fries while my wife had the BBQ sandwich. The food was excellent and I especially enjoyed the crinkle cut fries. We will be returning in the future. A great selection of beers, good food, and a great place to catch a game on the many tv's. A pleasant surprise in my Hermitage neighborhood. read more

Ribs are to die for! Bang-bang shrimp, fried pickles, wings, burgers, and buffalo chicken items are great too! Love the lighting (much better than The Corner Pub). Only critique would be the new flat-bread pizza are yucky. Taste like a thick store bought piece of flat-bread with Ragu sauce on it. Outback flatbread, or Applebee's flatbread would be a good start for them to aim for emulating, (cracker type crust w/spinach, artichoke, and chicken, etc). read more

Man, maybe it's just me, but we really like the place. It's hard to find a good pub in Old Hickory area, especially with GOOD BEER and GOOD FOOD. The Staff is pretty good and I'm no expert but we always have a better experience there than we do at the big chain restaurants with their domestic beer on tap and food that was prepared out of state and shipped in.... They've got plenty of parking and Flat Screens - We like it, you might too. read more

We have been here twice and both times are food and service were good. It is very loud in there, but that is because it seems more like a sports grill than a restaurant IMO. The 2-for-1 drinks were great, especially the amount of wine served. Will probably return. read more

This place is right around the corner from my house but I don't think I'll be going here anymore. Worse service I've ever had. Waitress was more interested in the hanging at the bar and talking to her coworkers. Then we we asked her to split the bill evenly between two people, not that hard, she charged one of us a dollar and some change more. LOVE this place. 241 drafts on Sundays. Perfect spot to catch a game. We've been here probably 100 times over the past 4 years. i highly recommend the ribs, quesadillas, or wings. It is a little loud in there, so not the right place for a romantic dinner if you want to talk a lot :) But great for fun afternoons with friends. read more

This place is overpriced! 12 oz draft beer for the same price of a 12 oz. bottle. Really? Food order was wrong after waiting an hour for it, and the place was hardly full. We were warned of a big back up in the kitchen when we ordered but we could not imagine why. Got corrected order and it was obvious they use no spices or marinade on their chicken for the Mexican choices, the sour cream is served in a cafeteria style, sealed cup and there is no offering of lettuce, tomato or guacamole! I read the reviews and wanted something close to home with a TV, decent beer and bar food. The awful reviews were... well awful. So, my son and his girlfriend and I went down for a munch and a beer 13-Oct-12. Had no idea what to expect. Bottom line: 22 oz beers on tap $4.25. Decent selection ~30 (my son prefers 'boutique' beers but the choice was fine IMHO.) Burger - done as advertised. Only criticism. I like the industrial look, but a metallic, unpadded steel ceiling is a s****y way to push audio. (THIS IS NASHVILLE people... sound matters.) For a couple hundred buck they could fix the sound and it's a little local BW. All in my (ex-NYer) hard ass view of things. :-) Would return anytime for Take 2. The name says it all. Pour food, pour service. Drink glass stayed empty for almost 15 minutes while the waitress jabbered with a friend. None of the three other waitresses nor the manager seemed to notice the empty glass when they walked by the table either. The baby back ribs were worthy of only 2 bites and the catfish sandwich one bite. The restaurant itself has a good atmosphere. It's a shame that the service and food don't complement it. read more

Looking for an amazing place to watch all your sporting events. Well look no further. This place is amazing. Great food, awesome beer selection and always great service. Just what hermitage needed. Great place to hold your next event as they have the sideroom or the outside patio which at nighttime is amazing. The bay doors are a warm welcoming as well. My favorites are the buffalo chicken wrap, chicken tenders in the Mexican adobo sauce and the turtle cheesecake. read more

We are new to Hermitage area. I occasionally pass by this restaurant. The parking lot is always jam packed. I thought I would stop by and give it a try. It is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. The food menu is very limited to bunch of fried stuff, finger food, basic salads, and sandwiches. There are some steak options. There was a pre-season Titans game when we visited. The service was extremely slow. We ordered some appetizers, a simple dish, and drinks. My beer took about 15 minutes to arrive. Appetizers took about 45 minutes. Our last order was so late, they wrote it off. There were no napkins on the table. I had to ask three times to get napkins. The food was greasy and salty. I had fried pickles. Grease was literally dripping from each bite. They have some local beers on the drink menu. I might go back on a game night to have some beers. I don't think it is a family friendly place since it is very loud in there. The food is inexpensive but not impressive. The service was very slow but they wrote off an item from our check without us even saying anything. I thought that was a nice gesture. read more

Terrible service!!! We came in at 11:30, it took a good 5 minutes to even get our drinks and she only gave us 3 menus when we had 4 people. After we got our drinks, we were told we can ONLY order appetizers. Then we ordered a split order of wings. Half garlic Parmesan and the other half teriyaki, we got all teriyaki but she gave the teriyaki wings to someone who ordered the honey BBQ. The tea is terrible and our server sat down to take out order and wrote none of it down. No wonder she messed our order up. After we got our food, we were only checked on once to get the check. After waiting 5 minutes for her to finally come back we just decided to go inside and give her the payment. Then she made an excuse saying she is sorry and she has worked 35 hours in 3 days. Maybe the restaurant should not be overworking their employees and they would not be so exhausted to the point that they don't even know what they are doing. read more

I was visiting Nashville and found JB's Pour House and expected just another sports bar, but what I found was so much more. I am a picky eater and a barbecue snob. When the waiter recommended the pulled pork and ribs I asked if I could make a barbecue sampler. Since I am from Dallas, brisket is king so I wanted to taste all of their smoked meats. They were happy to accommodate. The ribs were outstanding, brisket solid, and the pulled pork was excellent. I started with the fried pickles which I really enjoyed because they were lightly breaded and not corn breaded-which I always thing takes away from being able to taste the pickle. These pickles were very "pickle forward" which I enjoyed. My only critique of the pickles would be a home made ranch or a spicy ranch would have made them better. I loved that they were willing to indulge my desire to get a custom dish. My waiter was friendly and attentive without bugging me or trying too hard. This sports bar does barbecue right, all of the meat was super tender and flavorful. The ribs fell off the bone, had a great taste of smoke, the sauce is sweet, but I tend to like my sauce sweet. A second spicier sauce might be good for those who prefer that, but for me it was just right. read more

From what I can tell, you need to ignore the so-so reviews from their first two years in business. Sounds like a definite learning curve. We visited there Friday afternoon after searching the Nashville area for a "family" restaurant.(beam us there, SIRI!) On vacation in TN from MA, we had had a long week of hit and run BBQ, wings and such downtown, hotel breakfasts, and SONIC, because we only get the TV commercials up north. Must be Heaven to go there stoned. Anyhow, the place is relaxed, sporty and clean. The food was great. Two steaks, a pulled pork sammich, Boneless buff wings and the American burger. ALL GOOD! Also a great variety of draught and bottled beers . Many local brews, and Icy cold! Then there is the service. Justin served us perfectly. Attentive, patient, and full of suggestions for local sightseeing. On a side note...shaving that beard would NOT have made him look that much younger(gotcha dude!) All in all a nice time.
